BARSTOW - Tiburcio (Matilde) Muniz, 79, a retired heavy equipment operator, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 1997, in the Monahans Senior Care Center.
Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Refuge in Barstow. Burial will be at the Barstow cemetery. Arrangements made by Harkey Funeral Home.
He was born in Redford and had lived in Monahans 22 years. He was a Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Juanita Muniz of Monahans; sons, Adolfo Muniz of Andrews, Angel Muniz, Nickols Muniz and Thomas Muniz, all of Monahans, and Edward Muniz of Fort Worth; daughters, Olivia Blian and Beatrice Muniz, both of Monahans; brothers, Trine Navarrete and Juana Navarrete, both of Falomina, Mexico, Silvestire Gonzales of La Mount, Calif., and Francisco Gonzales of Fort Stockton; sisters, Vicky Fuentes of Roswell, N.M., Mary Hernandez of El Mirage, Ariz., and Lupe Navarrete, Benina Navarette, Tomas Navarette, all of Falomina, Mexico; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Juan Pereida
ODESSA - Juan Flores Pereida, 50, a roofer, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services were held Thursday at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in Big Spring and was a resident of Santa Maria, Calif. He was a member of the Christian Church.

Henry Sterling
ODESSA - Henry 'Honeychild' Sterling, 69, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rosehill cemetery with the Rev. McNeil officiating.
He was born in Roby and was a resident of Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Vanessa Sterling of Arlington and Barbara Sterling of Odessa; and five grandchildren.
Darlene Tinney Burnett
AUSTIN - God called Darlene to heaven on Feb. 4, 1997, at her home in Austin.
Darlene fought for life through her love for her husband, children, grandchildren and friends. We know today she is celebrating with her family in heaven and waiting to greet the family and friends that will follow.
Darlene was born in Quanah, Texas, May 14, 1937, to J.C. and Sarah Weede. She married
Bob Tinney of Wellington, Texas, in 1952. They had three children together, Rhonda Tinney of Fort Worth, Stan Tinney of Odessa and Kavin Tinney of Odessa.
Darlene resided in Odessa from 1982 to 1989, when she married
D.L. Burnett of Austin, Texas. Darlene and D.L. lived in love of each other in Austin until she was called home to heaven.
Darlene retired from the Department of Human Services in August of 1995 where she had enjoyed many years of fellowship and love with her many close friends.
Darlene is survived by her loving husband, D.L. Burnett; children; six grandchildren, Kenny, Ashley, Chance, Bailie, Robert and Amanda; her companion, Amber Dee; and numerous friends and family.
Darlene will be missed on this earth, but her presence will remain with us for always.
A memorial service was held at Cook Walden Capital Parks Mausoleum, 14619 North I.H. 35, Friday, Feb. 7 at 11 a.m.
The family is eternally gratefully to the Robinson Creek Hospice and in lieu of flowers Darlene requested a memorial be made to the Robinson Creek Hospice of Austin, Texas.

ODESSA - Floyd Satchell, 63, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 1997, in Galveston.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Odessa. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born May 1, 1933, in Chilton and was a resident of Odessa. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Ira Lee Satchell of Odessa; aunts, Gladys Penny and Emma Penny, both of Odessa; sisters- in-law, Lilly Mae Perry of Los Angeles, Mary Stanton of Odessa; daughter and son-in- law, Emma and Joe Willie Moorer; nephew, Laydell Cleaver Jr. of Los Angeles; nieces, Gloria Dancer and Kathy Shaw, both of Odessa, Patricia Cleaver of Dallas; grandchildren, Darrell and Carolyn Gibbs of Lubbock; and three great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bolivar Satchell and his mother, Plina Satchell.

Maggie Marie Stevens
GRANITE SHOALS - Maggie Marie Stevens, 82, of Granite Shoals, Texas, died Friday, Feb. 7, 1997, in Lancaster.
She was born in Lancaster, Texas, on Dec. 23, 1914. She was a former resident of Odessa for more than 20 years and was employed at Basin Communications as a telephone operator. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for more than 50 years, a member of the First Christian Church in Odessa and a member of the First Baptist Church in Granite Shoals.
She was preceded in death by her husband George in August of 1994.
She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Cline of Oklahoma City and Linda Polk of Houston; nieces, Pat Miller of New Orleans, La., and Sherry Hindeman of Dallas; grandchildren, Neal Cline, Steven Cline and Brian Polk; three great-grandchildren, Amber, Jason and Crystal Cline; and brothers, J.L. Bailey and R.L. Bailey.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 1997, at First Baptist Church in Granite Shoals with the Rev. Jack Whyburn officiating. Interment to follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park near Burnet under the direction of Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls, Texas.

ODESSA - Edith O. Barclay, 89, a homemaker, died Friday, Feb. 7, 1997, at Parks Good Samaritan. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. ABILENE - Elnora P. Charlton Kotlar, 88, of Abilene died Friday, Feb. 7, 1997, in Abilene. No services will be held. Local arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home. She was born in Farwell and was resident of California and Oregon before moving to Abilene.

TOYAH - Clyde Wright, 67, a retired mechanic, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 1997, at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Toyah cemetery with the Rev. J.R. KERMIT - Tula M. Bayless, 94, a retired postal clerk, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 1997, at Monahans Care Center.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Kermit cemetery with Russ Smith Sr. officiating. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel Inc.
She was born in Opp, Ala., and was a 65-year resident of Kermit. She was a Baptist.
