Billie Mitchell

MONAHANS -- Billie Marie Mitchell, 74, a bookkeeper, died Saturday, May 9, 1998, at her home in Wickett.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Harkey Funeral Chapel and burial will follow at the Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

She was born March 16, 1924, in Milburn, Okla.

Survivors: Daughters, Billie D. Fitch of Osceola, Mo., and Barbara J. Carrasco and Karla J. Carrasco, both of Monahans; brother, Donal A. White Sr. of Camarillo, Calif.; seven grandchildren.

Glenn Newton

FORT STOCKTON -- Glenn J. Newton, 78, died Friday, May 8, 1998, at the Fort Stockton Nursing Center.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Skip Hill officiating. Burial will be at the East Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.

He was born Oct. 9, 1919, in Portland, Ore., and had been a Fort Stockton resident 20 years. He served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. He was Baptist.

Survivors: Wife, Margaret Newton of Fort Stockton; brother, Richard C. Newton of Yuba City, Calif.

Jacinto Vasquez Jr.

MONAHANS -- Jacinto Ortega Vasquez Jr., 51, died Saturday, May 9, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.

Mass will be celebrated today at 11 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church. Burial will be at the Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

He was born June 19, 1946, in Del Rio and had lived in Monahans since 1968. He was Catholic.

Survivors: Wife, Virginia Vasquez of Monahans; brothers, Jose Felan of Monahans and Oscar Felan of Hadley; sisters, Maria Herrera and Juanita Guerrero, both of Del Rio.

Ed Keese

ODESSA -- Ed Keese, 77, died Sunday, May 10, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Arrangements are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Eustaquio Madrid

ANDREWS -- Eustaquio Madrid, 73, died Sunday, May 10, 1998, at St. Mary's Hospital in Lubbock.

Arrangements are pending with the McNett Funeral Home.

Judy Franklin

ANDREWS -- Judy Marie Franklin, 46, a care provider, of Andrews died Friday, May 8, 1998, at Westwood Medical Center in Midland.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. today in the Andrews Old cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

She was born in San Angelo. She lived in Andrews.

SURIVORS: Daughter, Laura Brumfield of Andrews; son, James Guthrie of Andrews; parents, George and Patsy Miller of Andrews; sister, Janella Ivy of Balmorhea; and two granchildren.

Marguerite Lindsay

ODESSA -- Marguerite Wilna Venable Lindsay, 81, a homemaker, of Odessa died Friday, May 8, 1998, at her residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with Don Turskey officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

She was born in Erath County and moved to Odessa from Midland in 1948. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURIVIVORS: Sons, Jarrett Lindsay of Odessa and Marlin Lindsay of Citrus Heights, Calif.

Eustolia Llanez

ODESSA -- Eustolia Llanez, 70, a homemaker, of Odessa died Thursday, May 7, 1998, at her residence.

Rosary will be heard at 7 tonight at the Martinez Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday a the St. Joseph Cathlic Church with Barney Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be at Rosehill cemetery in Odessa.

She was born in Alpine. She was Catholic.

Survivors: Sons, Elpedio Llanez, Robert Llanez, Jesus Llanez, Jr., Pablo Llanez, Arturo Llanez, Oscar Llanez and Octabio Llanez, all of Odessa; daughters, Virginia Ornales of Portales, N.M., Frances Salcido of Pecos, Criselda Salcido and Esmeralda Llanez, both of Odessa; Mary Galvan of Portales; brother, Jesus Juarez of Portales; sisters, Estefana Juarez of Hobbs, N.M. and Celia Juarez of Andrews; 39 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Booker Fobbs

PECOS -- Booker T. Fobbs, 35, an oilfield worker, of Pecos died Saturday, May 8, 1998, at his residence.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Pecos Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Billy R. Woodard officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

He was born and lived in Pecos. He was Baptist.

Survivors: Parents, James and Ella Mae Henderson of Pecos; son, Booker T. Fobbs Jr. of Pecos; daughters, Philonius Fobbs, Clarissa Fobbs and Cassandra Fobbs of Pecos; grandmother, Hattie Smith of Pecos; brothers, Nathaniel Fobbs and John Davis of Pecos; and sister, Pamela Henderson of Pecos.

Brawley Beauchamp

PECOS -- Brawley "BobBeauchamp, 60, of Pecos, died Friday, May 8, 1998, at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Mount Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

He was born in Pecos. He was Baptist.

Survivors: Parents, Brawley and Deenie Beauchamp of Pecos.

William Sohl

ALPINE -- William James "GrumpySohl, 77, former Alpine mayor, died Wednesday, May 6, 1998, at his residence.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.

He was born in Pittsfield, Mass., and had lived in Alpine for more than 50 years. He was Presbyterian.

Survivors: Wife, Merrian Sohl of Alpine; sons, J. Ric Sohl of Odessa, Craig Wise of Lubbock; daughters, Rochelle Sohl Waite of Ketchikan, Ark., Robin Sohl Ritchie of Alpine, Lisa Wise of Silver City, N.M.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
