She lived in Odessa for 30 years before moving to Maydelle.
She was a member of the Maydelle Assembly of God

RANKIN — Shankle “Shank” Sothern Bloxom, 79, of Rankin a longtime West Texas sheep rancher, died Saturday, June 5, 2004, at a Midland care center.

He was born in Houston, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
