ANDREWS — Jack L. Bowers, 80, of Midland, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with the Rev. Gary Redwine officiating. Burial will follow at the Andrews Old cemetery. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Amarillo. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Evelyn McCarly Bowers of Midland; and step-daughters, Roblyn Brown of Sweetwater; Beverly McCarly of Dallas, Madilon Dunaway of Graham and Kim Turner of Malasia.

Dee McDaniel Jr.
ODESSA — Dee Addison McDaniel Jr., 82, of Odessa, a retired field superintendent, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Iowa Park. He was a longtime resident of Odessa. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Laverne McDaniel of Odessa; son, Mark McDaniel of Midland; daughters, Sharon Shaw of Spring, Cathie Whitley of San Diego, Calif., and Treva Powell of Monahans; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

J.C. McGinnis
RICHARDS — J.C. “Byrd” McGinnis, 86, of Andrews, a retired employee of Mobile Pipeline, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at his residence.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Pools cemetery in Richards with the Rev. Floyd Hoke officiating. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Cleveland, Texas. He was a 43-year resident of Andrews. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Charlene McGinnis of Andrews; son, Al McGinnis of Ferris; daughters, Jolene Brunson and Sherry Barton, both of Midland; brother, Leo McGinnis of Richards; sister, Ada Strange of Kingsland; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

PECOS — Rebecca “Becky” Ortiz, 50, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, in Pecos.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Fernando de la Luna officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements are by Peaceful Gardens Funeral Home.
She was born in Pecos and was a lifelong resident. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Jose Angel Vasquez of Pecos; sons, Felix Ornelas Jr., Stevie Ornelas, Jesse Ornelas and Paul Diaz, all of Pecos; daughters, Grace Ortega and Gina Ortiz Galindo of Pecos; brothers, Gilbert Ortiz of Coleman and Manuel Ortiz of Pecos; sisters, Rachel Natividad of Pecos, Linda Garcia of Toyah and Syliva Ortiz of California; and nine grandchildren.

Eudoxia Reed
MIDLAND — Eudoxia “Dot” Lee Reed, 78, of Midland, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, in Midland.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Earles Chapel in Jacksonville, Texas. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home.
SURVIVORS: None listed.

Elvia Rey
IMPERIAL — Elvia Renee Rey, 23, of Monahans, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, at Pecos County Memorial Hospital in Fort Stockton.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the Old Community Building. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today the building. Burial will be in the Imperial cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Imperial. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Father, Jose Rey of Imperial; brothers, Frankie Cadena of Oklahoma, Jerry Cadena of Childress and J.J. Rey of Imperial; and sisters, Vivian Rey of Imperial and Adela Chavez, Celia Rey and Connie Rey, all of Odessa.

ODESSA — Julia Sanchez, 76, of Odessa, a former schoolteacher, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 20043, at her residence.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Frances Frey officiating. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at the Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Humoco, Puerto Rico. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Dr. Wanda Solis of Odessa; son, Edgar Solis of Puerto Rico; sisters, Zoriada Dieguez of Tampa, Fla., and Carmen Dejesus of Gainesville, Fla.; brother, Jose Sanches of Loane Ohio; and two grandchildren.

Delores Andrews
MONAHANS — Delores Andrews, 62, of Monahans, a homemaker, died Monday, April 12, 2004, at Ward Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Third and Dwight Church of Christ. Burial will be at the Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements are by Family Funeral Services/Jackie Harkey.
She was born in Dawson County.
SURVIVORS: Son, Richard Jetter of Monahans; daughters, Debra Davison and Linda Muniz, both of Monahans, and Brenda Smith of Odessa; brothers, Ray Miller of Las Vegas, Nev., and Micheal Miller of Eastland; sisters, Joyce Ogden of Odessa, Donna York of Cleburne, Faye Tuttle of Fort Worth, Rebecca Miller of Rockwall and Beth Miller of Burnett; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Terry Bullington
PITTSBORO, N.C. — Terry Douglas “Bullett” Bullington, 65, of Pittsboro, N.C., a retired employee of the Pittsboro Police Department, died Saturday, April 10, 2004, at Hospice of the Meadowlands in Hillsborough.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Griffin Funeral Home with the Rev. Shane Arnold officiating. Arrangements are by Griffin Funeral Service and Cremation.
He was born in Chatham County.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Mary Ann King Bullington of Pittsboro, N.C.; three children; brothers, John Bullington of Burlington and Kendall Bullington of Morehead City; sisters, Joan Broadway of Burlington and Kay Hunt of Jamestown; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Mildred Farnsworth
PALESTINE — Mildred C. Hudson Farnsworth, 80, of Odessa and formerly of Palestine and LaLuz, N.M., an employee of the Knapp Shoe Company in Brockton, Mass., died Wednesday, April, 7, 2004, at the Hospice House in Odessa.
Services were held Monday at the Goodwine Funeral Home with the Rev. James Delaney III officiating. Burial was at the Palestine cemetery. Arrangements were by Goodwine Funeral Home.
She was born in Palestine. She was a member of the Palestine First Christian Church.
SURVIVORS: Son, Bill Farnsworth of El Paso; daughters, Donna Cyr and Susan Stringer, both of Alamogordo, N.M., and Karen Munguia of Odessa; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Rachel Mallory, 82, of Midland, a retired beautician, died Monday, April 12, 2004, at the Mabee Health Care Center in Midland.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Wayne Shelton officiating. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Lacasa. She was a member of Mission Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Marcella Hailes of Hobbs, N.M., and Tommie Edwards of Canyon Lake; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

LAS VEGAS — Troy W. “Dubbie” Patterson Jr., 59, of Las Vegas, Nev., a casino/gaming dealer, died Saturday, April 10, 2004, at Nathan Adelson Hospice – East.
Graveside services will be at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements are by Palm Mortuary – Cheyenne.
He was born in San Angelo. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Jo Ann Patterson of Las Vegas; daughter, Laura L. Patterson-Dimitt of Las Vegas; son, Michael R. Patterson of Las Vegas; mother, Lellah L. Patterson-Turn of Odessa; sister, Patricia Whitacre of Odessa; and one grandchild.
