MONAHANS - Opal Russell, 85, of Odessa, a retired employee of the Civil Service, died Thursday, March 11, 2004, at her residence.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Monahans cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Wilson, Okla.
SURVIVORS: Brother, Billy E. Russell of Clearwater, Fla.
Sadie Saldivar
ANDREWS - Sadie Kaitlyn Saldivar, infant daughter of Brandon and Melissa Saldivar of Andrews, died Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church with the Rev. Bernard Gully officiating. Burial will be in the Andrews North Babyland cemetery. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Oceanside, Calif.
SURVIVORS: Parents; brother, Kaleb Saldivar of Andrews; grandparents, Rudy and Wilma Hinojos of Odessa, Dr. Michael and Beth Neal of Hemphill, and Joe and Pat Saldivar of Andrews; great-grandparents, Gene and Harlene Floyd of Andrews, Mary and Charlie Carrasco and Sofia and Santiago Hinojos, all of Odessa.
Robert Thomas
MONAHANS - Robert J. Thomas, 86, of Monahans, a retired repairman for El Paso Natural Gas, died Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at Monahans Managed Care Center.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Monahans Memorial cemetery Pavilion with William McReynolds officiating. Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home.
He was born in Hainesville. He was an Army veteran and was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Nora Thomas of Monahans; sons, Walter W. Thomas of Houston and John Yeakey of Tennessee; daughters, Retha McCall, Evyone Rivas and Maudie Oliver, all of Monahans, and Eva Reese of Houston; brother, Jim Thomas of Dallas; sister, Oneata Shuler of Dallas; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Alton Towery
ODESSA - Alton Eugene Towery, 89, of Luling and formerly of Odessa, operator of Operation Blessing and the Mission of Mercy, died Friday, March 12, 2004.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Fannin County and was a lifelong resident of the Midland/Odessa area.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Edith Skelton Towery of Luling; daughters, JoAnn Alexander and Joyce Williams, both of Luling, and Wanda Sweatt of Leakey; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

OJINAGA, Chih., Mexico — Sixta Garcia Galindo, 82, of Odessa, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at her residence in Odessa.
Services will be Saturday in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. Burial will be at El Ultmo Refujio cemetery in Ojinaga. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.
She was born in Shafter.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Genaro Galindo of Ojinaga, Trine Galindo and Emilio Galindo, both of Fort Stockton, and Guadalupe Galindo of Odessa; daughters, Elvira Dominguez, Delia Proaño and Laura Carrasco, all of Odessa, and Alicia Armendariz of Andrews; brothers, Pilar Garcia of Lovington, N.M., and Gregorio Chapo Garcia of Odessa; sister, Arculana Levario of Odessa; 23 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was born in Bado De Pierda, Mexico. She was Catholic.
