ODESSA - Melvin Gordon Korthals, 78, of Odessa, owner of a salvage business, died Monday, March 29, 2004, at the Home Hospice House.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the V.F.W. Hall, Post 4372 with Rev. Dick Brown and Al Bullard officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home.
He was born in Beaver City, Okla. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

OLNEY - Pete Lisle, 87, of Olney, former owner of Rotary Sales and Repair, died Sunday, March 28, 2004, in Olney Hamilton Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Hamilton Street Church of Christ with Minister Scotte Clark and Sam Spurlock officiating. Burial will be at the Restland cemetery. Arrangements are by Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
He was born in Newcastle, Texas. He was a member of the Hamilton Street Church of Christ.

He was born in Comanche. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of First Baptist Church.
