ODESSA — Orita Crawford, 82, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Monday, July 5, 2004, at her residence.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Gustine. She was a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Mike Crawford of Clearwater, Fla., and Dean Worley of Lufkin; daughters, Rita Marler of San Angelo and Kay Bell of Odessa; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Walter Gaines III
SANFORD, Fla. — Walter “Buddy” Lewis Gaines III, 63, of Sanford, Fla., a retired employee of the construction industry and restaurant business, died Sunday, July 4, 2004, in Sanford, Fla.
A remembrance will be held at noon Friday at 122 Hays Ave.
He was born in Midland.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Kathy Gaines of Sanford, Fla.; sons, Chris Gaines and Walter “Dub” Lewis Gaines IV, both of Sanford, Fla., Norman Gaines of Deltona, Fla., and Robert Gilmore of Orlando, Fla.; daughter, Sharon Gaines of Odessa; brothers, Paul Gaines of Houston and Mickey Gaines of Odessa; and two grandchildren.

Hortancio Prado
FORT DAVIS — Hortancio “Ardy” Prado, 72, of Fort Davis, a retired employee for Alpine Independent School District, died Sunday, July 4, 2004, at Odessa Medical Hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Mike Alcuino officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s cemetery. Arrangements are by Geeslin Funeral Home in Alpine.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Aparicia “Pat” Talavera; son, Miguel Talavera; brothers, Gilbert Prado, Bene Prado and Roy Prado, all of Lubbock, George Prado of Stephenville and Johnny Prado of Austin; and sisters, Celia Robles of Brownfield and Carmen Arebedo and Margarita Prado, both of Austin.

Mildred Pyle
SEAGOVILLE — Mildred Garvene Pyle, 72, of Kermit, a retired cook and waitress, died Monday, July 5, 2004, in Kermit.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rains Hall cemetery with Delta Mathis officiating. Arrangements are by Family Services Funeral Parlor of Kermit.
She was born in Combine.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Duane McNutt of Big Spring and Ralph Burnett and Robert Burnett, both of Iola; daughter, Shirley Autry of Victoria and Robbie Brooks of Kermit; sisters, Audrea Rackley of Seagoville; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Rosco Seay
CISCO — Rosco “Skipper” Seay, 93, of Odessa, a retired plant operator for Sid Richardson Carbon and Gas, died Saturday, July 3, 2004, at Deerings Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cisco cemetery. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home of Odessa.
He was born in Cisco. He served in the Army and he was a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Rosco Leonard Seay of Moran; daughters, Elizabeth Clay of Odessa and Lajuana Thomashide of Hamilton; sister, Billie Simmons of Lubbock and Irene Trotman and Nellie Carter, both of New Hall, Calif.; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Lupita Morales
CRANE — Lupita Morales, 17, of Crane, died Monday, July 5, 2004, at her residence.
Services are pending with Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

Alma Peck
CRANE — Alma A. Peck, 83, of Crane, died Tuesday, July 6, 004, at Crane Nursing and Rehab Center.
Services are pending with Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

Joyce Burkhalter
PECOS - Joyce Burkhalter, 75, of Pecos, a retired telephone operator, died Thursday, July 1, 2004, in El Paso.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Church of Christ with Fred Domingues officiating. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
She was born in Pecos.
SURVIVORS: Son, Glen Burkhalter of Seattle, Wash.; daughter, Kim Chalfant of El Paso; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

William Chatham
ODESSA - William R. Chatham, 86, of Odessa, a retired truck driver for Dale Meyers Trucking, died Saturday, July 3, 2004, at Dora's Home Care in Lamesa.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Odessa cemetery with the Rev. J.T. Profitt officiating. Arrangements are by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Maybank. He served in the Army.
SURVIVORS: Step-son, Emmitt Worley of Odessa; step-daughter, Novalene Addison of Lamesa; brother, George Chatham of San Angelo; and seven step-grandchildren.

Mary Gonzales
ODESSA - Mary Ruth Gonzales, 61, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Saturday, July 3, at the Hospice House.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Services and burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home.
She was born in Fort Stockton. She was a Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Brothers, Marcial Gonzales and Sisto Gonzales, both of Odessa; and sisters, Bernarda Sanchez, Juliana Pacheco and Josephina Simmons, all of Odessa.

ANDREWS - Kevin Blain Jackson, 44, of Andrews, an attorney, died Sunday, July 4, 2004, in Midland.
