Deneice Cobb Holleran
AUSTIN — Deneice Holleran was born July 8, 1959, in Odessa, TX. She died August 1, 2004, at her home in Austin. She welcomed the opportunity to help someone in need, becoming an inspiring example to all who knew her, full of courage and hope through every adversity. She loved the outdoors and coaxed beauty from every plant she touched. Deneice has left an imprint of beauty and awe in our lives and will be missed immensely.
She is survived by devoted husband, Ed Holleran of Austin; parents, Vance and Judy Cobb of Odessa and Tom and Margie Hayes of Santa Anna; daughters, Christy Perkins and husband, Craig, and Cari Holmes; grandsons, Jacob, Levi and Luke; brothers, Lynn Cobb and wife, Gina, Sam Cobb and wife, Dana, Clint Kuhlmann and wife, Kim, and Matt Kuhlmann; and a huge extended family.
A private memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 4 and the family requests that donations be made in Deneice’s memory to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in lieu of flowers. www.komen.com.
Victor Manuel Porras
ODESSA — Victor Manuel Porras, 56, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at Banner Baywood Heart Hospital in Mesa, Ariz.
Mr. Porras was born August 8, 1947, in Colonia El Pueblito, Chihuaha to father, Candelario Porras and mother, Felicitas Nieto, whom both have preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Odessa with Fr. Joe Uecker officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County cemetery in the Rose Hill section.
Mr. Porras is survived by his son, Eugenio “Geno” Porras of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughters, Susy Porras, Manuela Porras and Aracely Porras, all of Odessa; brother, Octavio Porras of El Pueblito, Chihuahua; sisters, Rosa De La Cruz of El Mirage, Ariz., and Ramona Porras of Chihuahua, Mexico; and eight grandchildren.

Rogelio B. Molinar
ODESSA — Rogelio B. Molinar, 77, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
He was born on October 25, 1926, in Terlingua, Texas, to Paz and Maria Molinar. He married
Maria Betancourt on January 13, 1950, she preceded him in death in 1988. Rogelio was a masonry contractor and member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by his sons, Roy Molinar Jr. and wife, Josie, Rudy Molinar and Adelita, all of Odessa; daughters, Elida Garza and husband, Eliseo Sr., Celia Payen and husband, Javier, all of Odessa, Esther Hernandez and husband, Elias, of Tyrone Okla.; brothers, Alfonso Molinar of Carlsbad N.M., Guillermo Molinar of Odessa; sister, Ernestina Hernandez of Devine, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday May 5, 2004, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers will be George Hernandez, Joe Albert Hernandez, Roy Michael Molinar, Mark Eric Molinar, Daniel Jacob Molinar and Eliseo Garza Jr.

Mrs. W. K. Murray
ODESSA — Mrs. W. K. Murray died Friday, April 30, 2004, at her Odessa home. She was 96. Mrs. Murray moved to Odessa in the 1950’s with her husband, W. Kyle Murray. Mrs. Murray was named Odessa’s Outstanding Woman of the Year in 1963. She was graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a degree in art and was teaching in the Iraan school system when she met Kyle, a rancher in the Iraan area.
Mrs. Murray was born March 4, 1908, in Mansfield, Louisiana the only daughter of William Randolph Fair and Clara Farmer Fair. She had three brothers, William Randolph Jr., James and Alfred, all now deceased. William Randolph Fair III, son of William Randolph Jr., and his wife, Darlene, of Shreveport, are her remaining family.
Mrs. Murray was an intimate part of her husband’s family. She is loved and remembered by her sister-in-law, Mona O’Quinn of El Paso, Ann Johnson of Midland, Sam and Beatriz Murray of Fort Worth, Eddie and Eddye Gallagher of Fort Worth, Johnny Gallagher of Fort Smith and Garland and Ginny O’Quinn of El Paso.
The graveside service was at 2 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2004, in Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Owen Sharp of Odyssey Health Care presiding.
The family would like to thank Mrs. Murray’s caregivers: Frances Navarrete, Yadira Navarrete, Noema Padilla, Mona Bersoza, Becky Beroza, Crystal Ortiz and Nurse Annelle.

Pauline B. Richman
ODESSA — Pauline B. Richman passed away Friday, April 30, 2004, in Midland.
She was born January 14, 1917, in Lamesa, Texas, to Benjamin and Xetta Buffington. Pauline grew up in Midland and graduated from Midland High School. She married
E. Durwood Richman February 29, 1936, in Odessa, Texas. Pauline was a faithful member of the Westside Church of Christ since 1980. She and her husband were valued volunteers of Meals On Wheels for over 15 years.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Clinton Buffington.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, E. Durwood Richman of Midland; two children, her daughter, Wynell Norman and husband Glen of Livingston, TX and her son Leon Richman and wife Mary of Odessa. She leaves seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at the Westside Church of Christ with Don Mitchell and Mike Vestal officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home, 801 Andrews Hwy. Midland, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Eldon Reams, Lloyd Joiner, Dale Wolf, Harold Sykes, Wilber Harkness, Ben Greenfield, Ben Dobbs, Leon Gillespie and Gene Williams. Honorary pallbearer is Hershel Floyd.

Marquette ‘Quette’ Wallace
ODESSA — Our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.
Marquette was born in Odessa, Texas, on December 24, 1972, to Charles and Patricia Wallace. He was a member of Greater St. John Baptist Church.
To cherish his memories, he leaves Charles and Sharon Wallace of Lamesa, Texas; two sisters, Tonya and Shaniqua Wallace, both of Odessa, Texas; two brothers, Robert Gregory of Lamesa, Texas, and Randy Gregory of Big Spring, Texas; grandparents, Ruby Sanders, Zonie and Lurline Fowler, all of Odessa, Texas; three nieces, Shavelle Wallace, Dashaila Quarker of Odessa, Texas, Asia Gregory of Lamesa, Texas; four nephews, Jamar Jackson, TyShun Doss, Benjamin Wilson Jr., all of Odessa, and Marcos Gregory of Lamesa, Texas; a host of relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, an aunt, an uncle, grandfather and great-grandmother.

Willie Roger Daniels
ODESSA — Willie Roger Daniels, 67, passed away July 23, 2004, in Odessa.
Willie was born Nov. 9, 1936, in Goldsboro, N.C., to Willie Benjamin and Eva Daniels. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and later worked as an industrial mechanic
Willie married
Stormy Blankinship on April 28, 1998.
He was a member of Mission Dorado Baptist Church.
Willie was a kind, sincere and devoted man, whose smiling face brought joy to those he touched.
Willie’s parents and his first wife, Linda Daniels, preceded him in death.
Willie is survived by his wife, Stormy Daniels; sons, Tony Daniels and fiancee Lisa Kidd and Dwayne Barnes, all of Odessa; daughters, Bridgett Tate and husband Tim of Myrtle, Miss., and Mary Milliken and husband Joe of Odessa; brothers, Earl Daniels of Raleigh, N.C., Thurman Daniels of Goldsboro, N.C., Harvey Daniels of San Antonio and James Daniels of Goldsboro, N.C.; sisters, Ethel House of Smithville, N.C., Thelma Rhodes and Minnie Strickland, both of Villsboro, N.C., and Margaret Parton of Four Oaks, N.C.; his sister-at-heart, Bettye Blackwood of Odessa; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Felton Allen Smith
ODESSA — Felton Allen Smith passed away Thursday July 29, 2004, in New Mexico.
He was born March 22, 1941, in Big Spring to Henry Allen and Gladys Boatman Smith.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church in Odessa with Dr. David Mindel officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Felton married
Jane Tripp on Nov. 21, 1997, in Odessa, where he quickly endeared himself as “Da-do” to their grandchildren.
Felton played football for Ector High School and then graduated from Texas Tech with a degree in accounting. He was the owner of Fitting & Smith CPA firm in Midland. Felton was an avid MOJO fan, seldom missing a booster meeting or a game.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Smith, of Odessa; children, Bryan Tripp of Dallas, Lori Gray and husband Kevin of Odessa, Randall “R.J.” Smith of Dallas and Jill Clark and husband Joe of San Antonio; brother, Gene Smith and wife Penny of Odessa; sisters, Jo Ann Fuller and husband John of Odessa, Gay Nell Taravella of Pittsburg, Pa., and Mary Lou Smith and husband Bob of Glen Lyon, Pa.; also his grandchildren, Megan, Kendall and Garrett Gray and Bailey Kate Clark; and several nieces and nephews.

Richard ‘Dicky’ R. Ybarra
ODESSA — Richard “Dicky” R. Ybarra, 50, of Odessa, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2004, at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.
He was born Aug. 22, 1953, in Odessa, to Gabriel Jr. and Candida Ybarra. He married
Maria C. Zamora April 3, 1999, here in Odessa, He worked in the oilfield industry as a welder and was a Christian Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gabriel Ybarra Jr.
Mr. Ybarra is survived by his wife, Maria C Ybarra of Crane; mother, Candy R. Ybarra of El Paso; daughter, Candy Ybarra Gutierrez and husband Joe of Odessa; brothers, George Ybarra of Plano, Mike Ybarra of Odessa, Jesse Ybarra of Odessa and Jerry Ybarra of El Paso; sister, Grace Ybarra of Arlington; two grandchildren, Gabriella and Abigail Gutierrez of Odessa; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of Friends.
Pallbearers will be his brothers, son-in-law and Joe Ybarra, his nephew.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Uecker officiating. Burial to follow at Rose Hill cemetery.
