Brian Lujan Sanchez
ODESSA — Brian Lujan Sanchez, 17, of Odessa, passed away Friday, June 18, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident. He was born in Odessa, Texas, August 20, 1986. to Baltazar Sanchez and Alma Lujan Sanchez. He was a high school student and a Christian Catholic.
He is survived by mother, Alma Lujan Sanchez of Odessa; father, Baltazar and stepmother, Angie Sanchez of Odessa; brother, Christian and wife, Yesenia H. Sanchez, of Odessa; grandparents, Raymundo and wife, Edelmira Sanrchez, of Midland; grandmother, Maria Santos Lujan of Odessa; niece, Maya Anahi Sanchez of Odessa; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of friends. Pallbearers will be Christian Sanchez, Chris Macias, Jaimito Esquivel, Moses Jr. Guevara, Daniel Mata, Mathew Matta, Erik Mata, Josh Olivas, Charles Vela, Pete Fuente, Mondy Villa, Javier Mata, Javy Macias, Dulses Mata, Johey Vasquez, Remy Leyva, Ypolito Paz and Jaime Flores.
Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2004, at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. June 22, 2004, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Uecker officiating. Burial to follow at Rose Hill cemetery.

Harvey ‘Dell’ Wilson
ODESSA — Harvey “Dell” Wilson, 72, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2004, at Odessa Regional Hospital. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 23 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Odessa with the Rev. Gale Wilson officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Dail Page, Dean Holbrook, Tom Reeves, George Mitchell and Garry Denman.
Dell was born November 5, 1931, in Zephyr, Texas, to Thomas R. Wilson and Flossie D. Crane Wilson. He graduated from Sidney High School as salutatorian of his class. As a volunteer, Dell served in the Army in the Korean War as a mechanic in the Thunderbird unit. After returning from Korea, he attended Tarleton State University. He moved to Crane, Texas, in 1955. On June 22, 1960, he married
the love of his life, Anita Freeman. They had two children, Dayla and Lane. He also worked for Worth Well and Welex. He later started his own business, Wilson Wireline in Monahans. He retired in 1993. He stayed active with oil production and his farm in Sidney.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Wilson, of Odessa; daughter, Dayla Hearon and husband, Dr. Chris Hearon, and their son, Christopher, of Rockford, Ill.; by his son, Lane Wilson and wife, Cricket, and their son, Trevor, of Odessa; by one twin sister, Nell Stewart of Comanche; and by his brother, Wardly Wilson of Stephenville. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; sister, Jean McBride; and brothers, Bob, Thomas, Jakie and Edsel Wilson.

Neal Hilliard
ODESSA — The family of Neal Hilliard would like to thank the Lord for the years that he spent as a loving husband, father and PaPa. He was a wonderful Christian man who leaves behind a legacy that will continue throughout future generations.
He was born December 15, 1932, in Cass County, Texas, to Onis and Beatrice Hilliard. Neal graduated from McLeod High School in 1950. Billie Ruth Sanders, his high school sweetheart, married
him April 6, 1951. They shared 53 loving years together.
Neal was a longtime resident of Odessa, having lived here since 1973. He had worked for J & L Supply and LTV in West Texas, East Texas, and Oklahoma. He retired from the Ector County Independent School District in 1998.
His hobbies included working in his yard, making wooden crafts, talking about his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and playing games with them. He also enjoyed writing his congressmen, something he did for many years. He was proud of his membership in the NRA.
Neal was very active in Baptist work. He was an ordained deacon. He served as a trustee at Temple Baptist Church. He was a faithful participant in the Men’s Prayer Breakfast every Saturday where you would find him setting up tables and collecting the money at the door.
Neal went home to be with the Lord June 22, 2004, at the age of 71 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Perry Joe Hilliard, Glen Hilliard and Mike Hilliard.
Surviving Neal is his wife, Billie Hilliard. Two sons also survive him, Gary Hilliard of Iowa Park, Texas, and Monty Hilliard and his wife, Terry Hilliard, of Lubbock and his daughter, Karen Watkins and her husband, Lawrence Watkins, of Odessa. Neal has two living brothers, Charles Wayne Hilliard and his wife, Fannie Hilliard, of Atlanta, Texas, and Don Hilliard and his wife, Tommie Hilliard, of Denver City, Texas. He has one sister, Jean Boethel and her husband, Butch, of Bivins, Texas.
He was a special PaPa to his seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. They were the joys of his life, Ryan Hilliard of Colorado Springs, Colo., Shandi and Hatsu Floyd of San Antonio, Chad and Ashley Hilliard, Cory Hilliard, Amber Hilliard and Craig Hilliard of Lubbock, and KK Watkins of Odessa. His two great-grandchildren, Brendon and Aedin Floyd, live in San Antonio. Neal also has numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will have visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2004, at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Griffin Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Memorials, if desired, can be made to the Temple Baptist Mission Fund. Pallbearers will be David Pool, Jim McMahan, Jack Morris, Sam Rice, Don Adams and David Cowan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Roger Swift, Roy Smotherman and Russell Cowan.
Stanley W. Bolden
GRANBURY — Masonic graveside services for Stanley W. Bolden, 62, of Granbury, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 25, 2004, at Holly Hills Mausoleum Chapel.
Mr. Bolden was born February 5, 1942, in San Angelo, Texas, to Curtis Lee and Lou Esther Donaldson Bolden. He was a retired fireman for the Odessa Fire Department. He was a member of the Granbury Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Bolden was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis L. and Lou Bolden and a sister, Barbara Bolden.
Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday at Martin’s Funeral Home.
Survivors are son, Larry D. Bolden of Odessa; daughter, Renea Arnold of Mesquite; brothers, Curtis D. Bolden of Granbury and Paul C. Gerhardt of Palm Desert, Calif.; sister, Frances Monath of Granbury; and stepfather, Paul C. Gerhardt of Palm Desert, Calif.
Nora Alberta Morgan Booher
ROCHELLE — Nora Alberta Morgan Booher, truly one of God’s own saints, moved from her earthly home to her heavenly residence on Sunday, June 20, 2004. She was born in the small community of Smyrna, Texas, within Milam County on August 3, 1909, to Ada and Jeff Morgan. She grew up on the same homeplace and married
Cordell Samuel Booher on April 14, 1928, in the living room of that home. They were privileged to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in 1978 by repeating their vows. Cordell and Nora had four children, Corrdell Isaac, Joyce Booher Porch, Marilyn Booher Crow Mortimer and Paul Allan Booher. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Cordell Isaac, in 1945; her husband in 1983; her son-in-law, W.F. “Sonny” Porch, in 1999; two sisters; and three brothers.
Nora was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Over the years, she helped her husband in the restaurant business in Odessa and Brady, Texas. Her lifelong desire was to serve her Lord and family.
Mrs. Booher is survived by her son, Paul Booher and wife, Sharon, of Houston; two daughters, Joyce Porch of Odessa and Marilyn Mortimer and husband, Rush, of Odessa; grandchildren, Sean Booher and wife, Leigh, of Houston, Michaele Bathurst and husband, Greg, of Denver, Colo., Shannon Byrd and husband, Patrick, of Dallas, Phyllis Jones and husband, Cole, of Odessa, Paul “Crockett” Crow and wife, Kay, of Odessa; Russell “Rusty” Crow and wife, Lynn, of Bloomington, Ind., and Rachel Wellmann and husband, Troy, of Junction.
She also leaves behind thirteen great-grandchildren, Michelle Colley and husband, Charles, Amy Anderson and husband, Randall, Miranda “Mandy” O’Neal, Daniel Crow and wife, Marsha, T.W. Wellmann, Cole Jones Jr. and wife, Anna, Sarah Meza and husband, Jose, Amanda Wellmann, Marie Crow, Nicole Wellmann, Christy Crow, Morgan Wellmann and Megan Crow. In addition, she leaves four great-great-grandchildren, Raquel Anderson, Caleb O’Neal, Bailey Crow and Abigail “Abby” Anderson. She is also survived by one sister, Edna Morgan Hayman; and two sisters-in-law, Joan Manus and Margie Shaver; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial services will be held at Northside Baptist Church, 100 W. Fiftieth Street, at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, with the Rev. Clydel Chapman officiating. Interment will be at the Rochelle cemetery in Rochelle, Texas, where graveside service will be held at 12 noon Thursday, June 24, followed by lunch and a time of reflection at the Rochelle First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall or the Rochelle Community Center from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Services entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northside Baptist Church building fund or Home Hospice of Odessa.
Lois Marie Evans Ball
SAN ANTONIO — Lois Marie Evans Ball, 84, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2004, in Katy, Texas. She was born January 24, 1920, in Arlington, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Odessa, where she taught English at Odessa College.
She is survived by her children, Ralph Ball and wife, Patty, of Katy, Texas, and Seth Ball of Marlin, Texas; granddaughter, Brandi Anderson and husband, James, of Kingwood, Texas; great-grandchildren, Katie Anderson and Abby Anderson; brother, J. Ernest Evans of Burton, Texas; her sister, Mary Kathryn Collins of East Falmouth, Mass.; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mission Park South cemetery in San Antonio with the Rev. Maury Houghland officiating.

James “Wilbur” Williams
FORT WORTH — James “Wilbur” Williams, 89, died Friday, June 18, 2004.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. today at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Williams, a lifelong resident of Odessa, was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He served as quartermaster and commander for VFW Post #6717 from 1988 to 2000. He also participated in many social and civic events for the past several years. He was an active member of Johnson Chapel AME Methodist Church and gave many monetary contributions.
He is survived by his daughter, Cathy Williams of Arlington; stepchildren, Patricia Jones, Walter Hancock and Delbert Hancock, all of Odessa; grandchildren, James M. Williams, Destinie Jones and Michael Hancock; great-great-grandchildren, James Abrian Williams and Alexis Slack; and a host of cousins and friends.
Douglas L. Hill
ODESSA — Douglas L. Hill, 47, of Odessa, passed away Monday, July 12, 2004, in San Antonio. He was born December 18, 1956, in Gatesville, son of Jackie Hill and the late Elwood Hill. He lived most of his life in Odessa.
Doug was a longtime businessman in Odessa, operating several businesses through the ups and downs of the tumultuous West Texas economy. He was a member of the Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang, as well as the CASI Black Gold Chili Pod. He enjoyed cooking for friends and family, and traveling with his wife. He especially enjoyed life in and around the Big Bend country.
He was preceded in death by his father, and a daughter, Lydia Osborn.
Survivors include his wife, Sally “Sissy” Hill; and two sons and their wives, Adam and Faith Hill and Joshua and Natalie Jones, all of Odessa; his mother, Jackie Hill of Gatesville; three brothers, David Hill of Rome, Ga., and Dan Hill and Dennis Hill, both of Odessa; grandchildren, Adrianna Jones, and Cameron, Preston, Tyler and Brady Hill; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2004, at the Lutheran Church Of The Risen Lord with the Rev. James Otterness and the Rev. Chris Conner officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Amador Jesus Galindo Jr.
ODESSA — Amador Jesus Galindo Jr., 54, passed away July 10, 2004. Mr. Galindo was born August 18, 1949, in McCamey, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Delia Quiroz Galindo; one daughter, Isadora Subia; two sons, Rudy and Michael Castelo; two sisters, Estela Esparza and Erma Galindo; and one brother, Lupe Galindo, all of Odessa; and his father, Amador Galindo Sr. of Mission Viejo, Calif. He is preceded in death by his mother, Merce Galindo and one brother, Ruben P. Galindo. Amador leaves seven grandchildren with whom he had a special bond, Brittany, Daniela and Alexus Subia, Rudy Anthony and Isaiah Castelo and Brittany and Cody Castelo. Amador loved children and routinely had special events for the grandkids at his home.
Amador worked for Chevron Texaco at The McElroy Production Office in Crane. For the past several years, he collaborated with area game wardens to organize The McElroy Ranch Youth Hunt. Through this Chevron-sponsored organization, many young boys were trained to develop safe hunting skills.
Known to many as “Primo,” Mr. Galindo was admired and respected by his family, friends and co-workers for his devotion to his wife and for striving for excellence at home and in the workplace. He will also be sorely missed by his in-laws, Irene and Francisco Quiroz, for whom he was a constant source of support. One of his favorite pastimes was vacationing in Ruidoso, N.M., with family. Amador was particularly fond of his pet schnauzer, Roxie. Roxie enjoyed a yearly birthday party with family and friends. In Spanish, the name Amador means “One who loves.” True to his name, Amador loved those around him and treated them with mercy and kindness. He was indeed a Good Samaritan.
