ODESSA -- Nellie Mae Porter, 68, of Odessa died Wednesday, April 22, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Eugene Young

ODESSA -- Eugene Young, 62, of Odessa died Wednesday, April 22, 1998, at his residence.

Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

James Bearden

ANDREWS -- James "JimmieBearden, 75, of Andrews, died Wednesday, April 22, 1998, at his residence.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. H.A. Hanks officiating. Burial will be at Andrews West cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

He was born in Hillsboro and moved to Andrews in 1962. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Leilafaye Bearden of Andrews; son, Leighton Bearden of Grand Prairie; daughters, DeLane Kuban and Karen Sandlin, both of Arlington; brother, Kyle Bearden of Junction; and seven grandchildren.

Grace Braswell

ANDREWS -- Grace Price Braswell, 75, of Andrews, died Wednesday, April 22, 1998, at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Means Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Terry officiating. Burial will be at Andrews Old cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Kerry Price of Andrews; brothers, Reeder Price and Bob Price, both of Andrews; and sisters, Jaunita Gerald of Andrews, Jean Flowler of San Antonio and Joan Zaremski of Pittsburgh.

Melba Estep

SEMINOLE -- Melba Dean Chambliss Estep, 80, of Seminole, a retired employee of Field Enterprises, died Tuesday, April 21, 1998, at Hendricks Hospital in Abilene after an illness.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at West Side Church of Christ with Don Fleming officiating. Burial will be at Gaines County cemetery. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.

She was born in Bearden, Ark., and was a resident of Seminole for 63 years after moving from Arizona. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Jean Pierce of Garland and Molly Greenwood of Abilene; brothers, Harold Chambliss of Monroe, La., Tink Chambliss of Camdon, Ariz., and Keith Chambliss of Longview; sisters, Olive Tuberville of Camdon, Ariz., and Betty Grammer of Tullahoma, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Hughie Lillie

NASH, Okla. -- Hughie Lillie, 78, of Enid, Okla., a retired employee of Shell Oil Co., died Tuesday, April 21, 1998, at Golden Oaks Retirement Village.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bethel Hawley Baptist Church with the Revs. Glen Harlin and Clydel Chapman officiating. Burial will be at Brooks cemetery near Oilton, Okla. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home.

He was born in Drumright, Okla., and moved to Enid, Okla. in 1993 from Odessa. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Hugh Lillie of Wichita Falls, Ron Lillie of Claremore, Okla., Gary Lillie of Nash, Okla., and Wade Lillie of Denton; and brothers, Raymond Ishmael and Mart Ishmael, both of Drumright.

Harvey Martin

SAN ANGELO -- Harvey Herschel Martin, 66, of San Angelo, a carpenter, died Tuesday, April 21, 1998.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with the Revs. Ronny Loflin and Billie Hanks Jr. officiating. Arrangements by Robert Massie Funeral Home.

He had been a resident of San Angelo since 1974. He was an Army veteran.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Sharon Berger Martin of San Angelo; son, Randy Wayne Martin of Odessa; daughters, Vickie Ann Jones and Cari Deen Price, both of Odessa; brothers, Larry Wayne Martin of Odessa and Richie Lee Martin of San Angelo; and four grandchildren.

Everett Patterson

EARTH -- Everett Patterson, 91, of Earth died Monday, April 20, 1998, at Deering Nursing Home.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, April 22, 1998, at Earth Memorial cemetery with Wilburn Dennis officiating. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.

He was born in Harrold and moved to Odessa five years ago from Earth. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Son, John Patterson of Odessa; brother, Hershel Patterson of Earth; and two grandchildren.

Lora Reed

ODESSA -- Lora Mae Reed, 86, of Odessa, a homemaker and retired seamstress, died Friday, April 17, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. John S. Rasco officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Higgins and moved to Odessa in 1938 from Higgins. She was Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Son, Monty J. Reed of Jubial, Saudi Arabia; brothers, Walton Price of Fritch and Norman Price of Kansas City, Kan.; sister, Annon Sneed of Topeka, Kan., Juanita Ferguson of Arlington; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Elsie Wilhelm

STERLING CITY -- Elsie Allene Wilhelm, 57, of Sterling City, a retired GTE telephone operator, died Wednesday, April 22, 1998, at Sterling County Nursing Home.

Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Buck officiating. Burila will be at Foster cemetery. Arrangements by Ross Funeral Home.

She was born in Comanche and moved to Sterling City from San Angelo. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Sister, Helen Blair of Sterling City; and brother, Wallace Willhelm of Odessa.

Neal Martin

SEMINOLE -- Neal "Pee WeeMartin, 97, of Seminole, a drilling company owner, died Tuesday, April 21, 1998, at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Gaines County cemetery with the Rev. Derrel Evens officiating. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.

He was born in Forest Chapel and moved to Seminole 15 years ago from Aztec, N.M. He was a Methodist.

Survivors: Sister, Nina Falls of Chicota.

ODESSA -- James Pliska, 79, of Odessa, died Tuesday, April 21, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
