Floy J. ‘Bob’ Fox
ODESSA — Bob Fox, 77, of Odessa, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at the Hospice House. He was born March 10, 1927, in Ivan, TX. He married
Nola Wood Oct. 20, 1961, in Odessa.
Mr. Fox was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the 511 Airborne Division. He was a retired truck driver for Santa Fe Western Drilling Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Alice Fox, and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Nola Fox of Odessa; son, Kevin Snow and wife Susan of Anchorage, Alaska; daughters, Sheila Covey of Gardendale and Jamie Anthony and husband Jay of Jal, N.M.; brother, Ray Fox and wife Marie of Breckenridge; sister Fay Turner of Forsan; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2004, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Clydell Chapman officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice House Foundation Inc.

Christopher Doyle Lawrence
ODESSA — Christopher Doyle Lawrence died Monday, May 24, 2004, at his residence. He was born January 18, 1985, in Odessa to Clayton Lawrence and Christina Rimes.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2004, at Temple Baptist Church with Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Christopher touched many lives without a word being spoken. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Christopher is preceded in death by his grandfather Johnny Rimes.
Christopher is survived by his mother, Christina Rimes of Odessa; father, Clayton Lawrence of Odessa; brother, Chad Nease of Odessa; grandparents, Sherry Rimes of Odessa and Jackie and Charles Lawrence of Houston; aunts, Shawna Renee Moore and husband, Tom, and Laurie DeCair and husband, J.J., all of Odessa and Lisa Griffin of Houston; uncle, David Lawrence and wife, Debbie, of Houston; great aunts, Sally Brooks and husband, Steve, and Jean Ann Huckaby, all of Odessa; great uncle, Jimmy Francis and wife, Tanya, of Lubbock; cousins, Nicole DeCair and Dillon DeCair, both of Odessa and Shawn David Lawrence and Jeremy Griffin, both of Houston.

Carrissa Joy ‘C.J.’ Macon
BRONTE — Carrissa Joy “C.J.” Macon was born on January 24, 1986, in Odessa, Texas, and went to be with the Lord on May 26, 2004.
C.J. was the proud daughter of William Harold Macon and Kimberley Jane Macon and was to be wed to Windy Keith Abbott on Saturday, May 29, 2004.
She was very fun loving and loved the outdoors. She was involved in many activities such as volleyball, tennis, track, band, hunting and fishing.
C.J. had many accomplishments, such as being a member of Bronte High School Volleyball 9th-12th, All-District Honorable Mention 12th, All-District Academic 12th, Bronte High School Tennis 10th-12th, Bronte High School Track 10th-12th, National Honor Society 12th, One Act Play 9th-10th, Member of Junior Chamber of Commerce, Drum Major, Band Sweetheart, and Outstanding Student of the Year Award from the Chamber of Commerce.
C. J. is survived by her parents, William and Kimberley Macon of Blackwell; fiance, Windy Abbott of Sweetwater; her sisters, Cheryl Isbell and husband, Jeff of Valley View, Amanda Haney and husband, Rocky of Odessa, and Terrah Macon of Blackwell; her brother, William Macon of Blackwell; grandparents, Marilyn and Don Clarkston; nieces and nephews, Bailey Haney, Michael Haney, Zachary Isbell; and many other friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Arles Macon and her grandmothers, Gladys Macon and Patricia Dillon.
Services will be Sunday, May 30, 2004, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Bronte, Texas, with Brother Morris Johnson and Brother Myron Halford officiating.
Pallbearers will be the Bronte Volleyball team. Graveside services will be at the Macon-U-Crazy Ranch following the church service. Services are under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
The family asks that memorials be made to C.J. Macon Memorial Scholarship Fund held at the First National Bank in Bronte, Box C, Bronte, Texas 76933.
Sally Ann Till
BROWNWOOD — Services for Sally Ann Till, 70, of Brownwood are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Brownwood with the Rev. Bill Reed officiating.
Internment will follow at Rocky Creek cemetery under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Till died Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. She was born July 2, 1933, in Sumner, Iowa. She married
Wendell Eudene Till on May 31, 1981, in El Paso.
Mrs. Till was a retired medical transcriber and had lived in Brownwood since 1997. She was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Wendell Till of Brownwood; daughters, Cindy Roe and her husband Lewis of El Paso, and Cathie Williams and Milton Nelms of Crane; sons, Terry Till and his wife Tracy of Hico, Steve Corley and his wife Lisa of Odessa and Lynn Till and his wife Donna of Monahans; nine grandchildren, Justin, Jarred, Terrence, Trevor and Tristan Till, Kayla and Sarah Corley, Lindsay Williams and Jaymie Butler; two great-grandchildren, Patrick Butler and Aubrey Williams; one brother, Stanley Smith and Amelia of Salinas, Calif.; three nieces and one nephew.
Juanita Beasley
Juanita Beasley, age 90, of Odessa, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at her residence. She was born April 26, 1914, in Sapulpa, OK., to Ross and Drews Huckabe.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2004, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.

Ben Beasley April 9, 1932, in Sapulpa, OK. She was a homemaker.
Ms Beasley is preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Drews, and her husband, Ben.
She is survived by her son, Wayne E. Beasley of Odessa; her extended family, Jack and Diedra White and their children, Rachel, Ross and Lance; Kelton and Janice Smith and their children, Tate and Skyler, all of Odessa; sister, Roeanne Huckabe of Bakersfield, CA.; grandchildren, Terry and Shelly Beasley and great-grandchildren, Chisholm Beasley and Chelsea Garcia, all of Odessa; nephews, Charles Huckabe of Odessa and Morris Huckabe of Carlsbad, N.M., and Bubs Huckabe of Altus, OK.

Liliana Crivelli Verner
Liliana Verner, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at her home in Arlington, TX, on Sunday, May 30, 2004.
Liliana was born in Naples, Italy, January 2, 1924. During World War II, she met Hugh Verner, an American soldier stationed in Italy.
They married
on Oct. 28, 1945, in Naples and honeymooned on the Isle of Capri. She joined her husband in Odessa in 1946. She became an American citizen and helped to welcome other war brides in the area. She was a founding member of The International Club, made up of other brides from foreign countries. She often was called on to speak at local schools and civic organizations about her homeland and her experiences during the war. Although she lived in Texas for nearly 60 years, she never lost her accent and told her family that the language in her dreams was Italian. She moved to Arlington, TX, in 2002 to be near her daughter, Kim.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Verner in 1987; her father, Antonio Crivelli, mother, Elena Crivelli; and sister, Marina Leggiero, all of Italy.
Surviving her are her son, Robert Verner and wife, Nora, of Odessa, daughters, Helen Alford and husband, John, of Lubbock and Kim LaBruyere and husband, Russell, of Arlington; six grandchildren. Kristin Whittenburg, Jamie Whittenburg, Natalie Jones, Warren Verner, Jordan LaBruyere and Daniel LaBruyere; and one great-grandchild, Adriana Jones. Her two surviving sisters are Lydia Crivelli of Austin and Gloria Montemagno of Naples, Italy.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2004, in Sunset Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charles Tapley officiating. Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Funeral Home.
Memorials should be made to a favorite charity.

Stephen Lawrence Abbott
ODESSA — Stephen Lawrence Abbott, 38, of Midland, passed away Friday, June 4, 2004, at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, in Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Charles Tapley officiating.
Stephen was born November 26, 1965, in Odessa, Texas, to Lawrence and Lou Abbott. He had served in the U. S. Army in 1985. He worked as an auto mechanic for Big 3 Tire in Midland. He married
Jo Lynn Walton on December 21, 2001, in Midland.
He is survived by his wife, Jo of Midland; his parents, Lawrence and Lou Abbott of Odessa; his brother, Craig Abbott of San Diego, Calif.; and three nieces and one nephew.
Services are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Shankle ‘Shank’ Sothern Bloxom
RANKIN — Shankle “Shank” Sothern Bloxom, 79, a popular, longtime West Texas sheep rancher, World War II Navy Veteran and member of the Texas Christian University football teams of the late 1940s, died on Saturday, June 5, 2004, at a Midland care center.
Graveside services will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2004, in the Rankin cemetery with Reverend Stan Whites officiating. Viewing will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2004, at the First United Methodist Church in Rankin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Johnston, Jim Lucas, Lindy Berry, Tommy Owens, Bud Poage, Billy Ross Wheeler, Charles Wheeler, Roger Baines, David Bloxom, Dana Bloxom and Scott Bloxom.
Shank was born November 3, 1924, in Houston, Texas, one of four sons to the late Hazel Ella and Samuel Leslie Bloxom. His father was a railroad switchman for the Southern Pacific Railroad at Englewood Yards in Houston. While attending Jefferson Davis High School there, Shank also worked as a switchman during summers.
During World War II, Shank was in the U.S. Navy as an aviation machinist mate, repairing aircraft. When at sea, he served aboard the USS West Virginia and an assault transport ship named USS Fair Isle. The vessel delivered Marines for island battles with the Japanese. Shank was honorably discharged December 11, 1945.
Shank followed his oldest brother, David, to Texas Christian University on football scholarships after their outstanding performances as a guard and fullback, respectively, in high school. After WWII, TCU’s venerable coach, L.E. “Dutch” Meyers, became their mentor as the brothers continued playing their star positions together on winning Frog teams of the late 1940s, including a trip to the Delta, now Liberty Bowl.
Shank graduated from TCU in 1950 with a degree in physical education. In 1950 he married
Lottie Jo “Sug” Owens, whom he had met at TCU, and who was one of two daughters of the late Ella and Tom Owens, pioneer West Texas sheep ranchers.
In 1955, upon the death of Sug’s sister, Margaret, Mr. and Mrs. Owens offered Shank and Sug the opportunity to operate their Upton County Ranch. Shank remained an active member of the Rankin Community supporting many of the local organizations and serving as a Board member of the Rankin ISD. Shank was also a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the TS and GRA.
Shank was an avid TCU supporter, a fan of rodeos and horse racing and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dave Bloxom of Fort Worth.
He is survived by his wife, Lottie Jo “Sug” Bloxom of Rankin; a son, Tom Bloxom and his wife, Lou, of Rankin; a daughter, Deborah Bloxom of Andrews; two brothers, Niles “Pie” Bloxom and his wife, Jean, of Burleson and Russ Bloxom of Arlington; five grandchildren, Shá Bloxom, Amy Lide, Lorissa Lide, Aaron Lide, and Katelyn Lide; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Rankin or to the Rankin Volunteer Fire Department or charity of your choice.
