Edna Campbell

SNYDER - Edna K. 'Joy' Campbell, 79, a homemaker, died Monday, Feb. 10, 1997, at New Horizons Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Tom Holcomb officiating. Burial will be at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

She was born in Fort Worth and moved to Odessa from Hermleigh.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Margie Campbell, Mary Echevarria and Lena Stringer, all of Odessa; eight grandchildren; and 13 great- grandchildren.

Beatrice Gonzalez

ODESSA - Beatrice Campos Gonzalez, 59, a homemaker, died Monday, Feb. 10, 1997, at her residence.

Graveside services will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ernest Easley officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

She was born in Marfa and came to Odessa in 1954. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Genaro B. Gonzalez Jr. of Odessa; daughter, Eulalia Meeks of Odessa; son, Abel Gonzalez of Odessa; mother, Leonarda Campos of Odessa; three brothers; six sisters; and two grandchildren.

Charlie Forbes

BROWNFIELD - Charlie Carol Forbes, 72, a retired owner and operator of a community grocery store, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Terry County Memorial cemetery in Brownfield. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home of Odessa.

He was born in Brownfield and came to Odessa in 1971 from Seminole. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Wanda Forbes of Odessa; sons, Charles Ray Forbes and Charles Dewayne Forbes, both of Odessa, Billy Payton Forbes of Hobbs, N.M., and Douglas Wayne Wooten of Sulfer Point, La.; daughters, Shirley Standefer and Jeannie Barrett McKinzie, both of Odessa, and Judy Diane Layman of Illinois; brothers, W.P. Forbes and Harold Forbes, both of Brownfield; 14 grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.

Carolina Marshal

ODESSA - Carolina Tijerina- Marshal, 69, a homemaker, died Friday, Feb. 7, 1997, at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo.

Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in Ordway, Colo., and was a resident of Amarillo.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Jerrie Ann Duffy of Lubbock; son, Mark M. Tijerina of Amarillo; sisters, Luz Bersosa, Chona Tijerina and Elena Gomez, all of Odessa; brother, Alberto 'Tito' Muniz of Monahans; five grandchildren; and one great- grandchild.

Douglas McLemore

ODESSA - Douglas McLemore, 70, an Odessa High School math teacher, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services were held Saturday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Hawk officiating. Burial was at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard- Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Shamrock and came to Odessa in 1952 from Shamrock. He was a technical Sergeant in the U.S. Army station in German during World War II. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Virginia McLemore of Odessa; son, Tom McLemore of Pearland; daughter, Liz Sager of Odessa; brother, Ray McLemore of Shamrock; sisters, Juanita Hewitt of Vandalia, Ill., Bessie McLemore and Imogene Robinson, both of Shamrock, and Bonnie Lamb of Wheeler; and five grandchildren.

Natividad Nunez

ODESSA - Natividad 'Snydo' C. Nunez, 62, a retired self- employed carpet layer, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 1997, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center in Big Spring.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Marfa and was a resident of Odessa. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Irene Thelma Nunez of Big Spring; daughters, Veronica Esquivel and Velma Torres, both of Odessa; sons, Natividad Nunez Jr. of Elko, Nev., and Armando Nunez of San Antonio; sisters, Eva Lechuga, Socorro Garza and Eduviges Orona, all of Odessa, and Consuelo Bersosa of San Angelo; and five grandchildren.

CROWELL - Mary B. Owens, 70, a homemaker, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 1997, in Hobbs, N.M.

Graveside services were held Monday at Crowell cemetery in Crowell. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Home Inc. of Hobbs.

She was born in Crowell and was a resident of Hobbs.

SURVIVORS: Son, Gary Owens of Visalia, Calif.; daughter, Dolores Owens of Lubbock; brothers, Alfred Bert Curtis of Bakersfield, Calif., and Frank Curtis of Sparks, Nev.; sister, Edna Jewel Sparkman of Odessa; nine grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren.

Floyd Satchell

ODESSA - Floyd Satchell, 63, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 1997, in Galveston.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Mount Zion Baptist Church. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Chilton and was a resident of Odessa. He was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Ira Lee Satchell of Odessa; daughter, Emma Willie Moorer of Odessa; two grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.

Gayle Young

ODESSA - Gayle Clayton Young, 55, of Odessa, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. Jess Little officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

She was born in Pawnee, Okla. SURVIVORS: Aunt, Hazel Teague of Odessa.

ODESSA - Gloria May Ratliff Gentry, 64, a homemaker, died Monday, Feb. 10, 1997, at her residence. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Robert Berry officiating. Arrangements by Wade Funeral Home in Hubbard. She was born in Iredell and was a resident of Odessa before moving to Dawson in 1983. She was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Amos Gentry of Dawson; sons, Jackie Ratliff of Fort Worth and David Ratliff of Odessa; daughter, Carolyn Cupp of Cleburne; stepsons, Darryl Gentry of San Diego, Calif., and Ronald Gentry of Yorba Linda, Calif.; stepdaughter, Renee Erdman of Albuquerque, N.M.; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Andres Mendosa officiating. Burial will be at Denver City Memorial Park. Arrangements by Ratliff Funeral Home. He was born in Fort Teen and was a resident of Denver City. He was a Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Baudelio Hernandez of Odessa and Jesus Hernandez of Presidio; 18 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Clara Machen

PLAINVIEW - Clara Machen, 102, a homemaker, died Monday, Feb. 10, 1997, at Memorial Health Care Center in Seminole. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Plainview cemetery with the Rev. Craig Curry officiating. Arrangements by Connally Funeral Home in Seagraves. She was born in Chatooga County, Ga., and was a resident of Seminole.

SURVIVORS: Son, Freddie Mitchell of Wichita Falls; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
