ODESSA -- Doris Fisher, 74, of Odessa, died Thursday, April 16, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Max Reed

ODESSA -- Max Herbert Reed, 83, of Colorado, died Monday, April 13, 1998, in Wheatridge, Colo.

Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Willene Tucker

ODESSA -- Willene Opal Tucker, 78, of Odessa, died Thursday, April 16, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Lee Jennings

ODESSA -- Lee Auther "Chilly" Jennings, 77, of Odessa, a retired machinist for Emco Machine Company, died Monday, April 13, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home with the Rev. William Tatum officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Greenwood, La., and moved to Odessa 41 years ago from Fort Worth. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Brother, Robert Jennings of Fort Worth; and one great-grandchild.

Britton Rea

BERNICE, La. -- Britton Rea, 79, of Bernice, La., died Tuesday, April 14, 1998, in El Dorado, Ark., after a lengthy illness.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Weldon Baptist Church. Burial will be in Weldon cemetery. Arrangements by Kilpatrick Funeral Home.

He was born in Dubach, La. and was a former resident of Kermit.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Bill Rea of Odessa and Tony Rea of Amarillo; daughter, Wanda Dews of Ozona; brother, James C. Rea of Spearsville, La.; sisters, Beatrice Lee and Melba Farrar, both of Bernice, La., Lona Hammett of Homer, La.; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.

Mary Poindexter

ODESSA -- Mary Catherine Poindexter, 57, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Tuesday, April 14, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Martinez Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Tatum officiating. Burial will be Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in Andalusia, Ala., and had an Odessa resident for 20 years. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Sons, James McCall and Derrick McCall, both of Odessa and Steven McCall of Newark, N.J.; daughters, Adrian McCall, Patricia McCall and Michelle Arrington, all of Odessa; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

ODESSA -- Jesse William West, 3, of Odessa, died Wednesday, April 15, 1998, at his residence.

Services are pending with Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

Frank Barnett

WEST PLAINS, Mo. -- Frank Barnett, 61, of Jefferson, an oil rig operator, died Saturday, April 11, 1998, at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rose Chapel of the Roberston-Drago Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Barnett officiating. Burial will in Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements by Roberston-Drago Funeral Home.

He was born in Lanton, Mo. He was an Army veteran.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Carlean Barnett of Jefferson; stepdaughters, Della Cosby of Dell, Ark., Shirley Dodson of Odessa, Lillian R. Cowles of Marshall; stepsons, W.J. Knott of Brownwood, Riley J. Knott of Avinger; brothers, Jay Barnett of West Plains, Mo., Jim Barnett of Osawatomie, Kan.; sisters, Ruby McMillian of Cleveland, Okla., Ethel Sharp of West Plains, Mo., Mable Ball of Koshkonong, Mo., Roselea Harvey of Topeka, Kan.; and 21 step-great-grandchildren.

J.D. Lancaster

ABILENE -- J.D. Lancaster, 76, of Abilene, a retired employee of Gulf Oil Company, died Monday, April 13, 1998, at a local hospital.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel with Stan Cox and Ira Lynn officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Memorial Park. Arrangements by Elmwood Funeral Home.

He was born in Burkburnett and moved to Abilene in 1992 from Odessa. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps of World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Darleen Lancaster of Abilene; son, Dee Lancaster of Albuquerque, N.M.; daughter, Melba McCollough of Abilene; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Elodia Martinez

MCCAMEY -- Elodia Lujan Martinez, 61, of McCamey, owner and operator of Badger Cleaners, died Monday, April 13, 1998, at Memorial Hospital in Midland.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Berry McLean officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven cemetery. Arrangements by Richard W. Box Funeral Homes.

She was born in Fort Stockton and was a lifelong resident of West Texas. She was a Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Son, Mario Martinez of McCamey; sisters, Clara Martinez of Midland, Martha Ramirez of San Angelo; brothers, Ismael Lujan of Odessa, Elijio Lujan of Pecos, Dimas Lujan, David Lujan, Noe Lujan and Abel Lujan, all of Fort Stockton.

Debra Vines

MIDLAND -- Debra Ann Vines, 44, of Midland, an employee of ClayDesta Communications and a homemaker, died Tuesday, April 14, 1998, at her residence.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Chris Bainbridge and Jim Dillow officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.

She was born in Midland.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Jody Vines of Midland; daughter, LeAnna Lyn Miles of Midland; parents, Betty and Bill Merriman of Midland; stepdaughter, Kelly Vines Magele of Mansfield; stepsons, Lanny Dale Vines and Casey Ross Vines, both of Midland; sisters, Becky Parrish and Tammy Baimbridge of Midland; brothers, Don Merriman of Midland, Bobby Merriman of Georgetown; and four grandchildren.

Mary Willis

VIAN, Okla. -- Mary Belle Willis, 76, of Vian, Okla., a retired cook, died Sunday, April 12, 1998, at Sallisaw Hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Harvestime Church with the Revs. Chris Armer, Dale Ritter and Bill Willis officiating. Burial will be at Box cemetery. Arrangements by Wheeler Funeral Home.

She was born in Hinton, Okla.

SURVIVORS: Husband, James "Mike" Willis of Vian, Okla.; daughter, Gaylen S. Freeman of Odessa; sons, Dewey L. Short of Sallisaw, Okla., David J. Short of Dayton, Len E. Short of Paden, Okla., J.C. Couch of Vian, Okla.; sisters, Hazel Hamblen of Sacramento, Calif., Thelma Pierce and Martha A. Schlinker, both of California; brother, Donald L. McCullough of Moore, Okla.; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
