KERMIT — Faustina A. Gonzales, 92, of Kermit, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, in Midland.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Family Services Funeral Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Burial will be at Kermit cemetery. Arrangements are by Family Services Funeral Parlor.
She was born in El Rancho Chapulin, Chihuahua, Mexico.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Federico Gonzales of San Antonio and Robert Gonzales of Coleman; daughters, Maximina Houston of Yuma, Ariz., and Elfida Gonzales of Wink; sister, Margarita Talavera of Odessa; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Colby Lane Citty Hedgecock
SEMINOLE — Colby Lane Citty Hedgecock, 16, of Seminole, a student, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at University Medical Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at South Seminole Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Dale officiating. Burial will be at Gaines County cemetery. Arrangements are by Boyer Funeral Home.
He was born in Seminole. He was a member of First Baptist Church and attended South Seminole Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: Parents, Bill and Peggy Hedgecock of Seminole; and biological father, George Jefferson Hatcher of Brian, College Station.

J.E. ‘Mack’ ‘Buddy’ McCann
KINGSLAND — J.E. “Mack” “Buddy” McCann, 78, of Kingsland, a former network services supervisor for Southwestern Bell, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at Seton Highland Lakes Hospital in Burnet.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Hill Church. Graveside services will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet with the Rev. Joannie Jackson officiating. Arrangements are by Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Homes Inc.
He was born in Stamford. He served in the Navy and was a member of Calvary Hill Church.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Bonnie McCann of Kingsland; daughters, Debbie Kerr of Liberty Hill, Karen Kamenzind of Austin, Cathy Parks of Bertram and Diana Mitchel of Gladewater; brother, Totsie McCann of Okla.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

O.E. ‘Shorty’ Nichols Sr.
ANDREWS — O.E. “Shorty” Nichols Sr., 78, of Andrews, a roughneck for Holliday Drilling and Carl B. King, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Church of God with the Rev. Jason Connor officiating. Burial will be at Andrews Old cemetery. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Brownwood. He served in the Army.
SURVIVORS: Son, Osker E. Nichols Jr. of Andrews; Nancy Stokes of Sea Drift and Betty Bellow of Stephenville; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Windall ‘Shorty’ Powell
ODESSA — Windall “Shorty” Powell, 92, of Odessa, a fishing and tool operator, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, at his residence.
Masonic graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Gatesville. He served in the Army.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Gary Powell and Gayle Powell, both of Odessa; and one grandchild.

Mary F. Rodriguez
ODESSA — Mary F. Rodriguez, 70, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Alpine. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Francisco Rodriguez of Odessa; daughter, Delia Sotelo of Presidio; brother, Jesus Flores of Mertzon; sister, Francis Ramos of Mertzon; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

M.B. Henderson
ODESSA — M.B. Henderson, 73, of Odessa, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at Hospice House.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

C.J. Ellison
CRANE - C.J. Ellison, 62, of Crane, an electrical engineer, died on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, in the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Crane County cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
C.J. was born in Corpus Christi. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the Air Force. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Clara Ellison Gay of Crane; brother, Frank Royce Ellison of Wind Lake, Wis.; sisters, Patricia Ann Ellison Skidmore of Palestine, Wanda Ruth Ellison Fox-Anthony of Monahans and Betty Lou Ellison Williams of Crane.

Peter Hildebrandt
SEMINOLE - Peter Elias Hildebrandt, 57, of Seminole, a farmer, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, at his residence.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gospel Mennonite Church with the Rev. David Klassen officiating. Burial will be in Gaines County cemetery. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
He was born in Mexico and moved to Seminole 19 years ago from Mexico.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Maria Hildebrandt of Seminole; sons, Peter Hildebrandt and Neal Hildebrandt, both of Stephenville, and Jake Hildebrandt of Dallas; daughters, Anna Loewen of Lubbock, and Mary Key of Seminole; brothers, Neal Hildebrandt of Canada, Jake Hildebrandt of Mineral Wells, and Henry Hildebrandt of Seminole; sisters, Helena Schmit of Boliva, Maria Hibert of Argentina, Margareta Fehr of Ontario, Canada, Susana Klassen of Oklahoma, Neta Enns of Seminole, Anna Olfert and Tina Loewen, both of Mexico; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with the Rev. Larry Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. today at Blackwell cemetery in Blackwell. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.
She was born in Blackwell. She had lived in Odessa and moved to Andrews in 2001. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Sandra Birchfield of Andrews; brother, Perry Vest of Ballinger; sisters, Rozelle Roye of San Angelo, Juandelle Weddle of Emory and Carolyn Johnson of Kermit; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchildren.

Betty Peterson
ODESSA - Betty Marie Peterson, 79, of Odessa, a manager for Avon Cosmetics, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, at her residence.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Community United Methodist Church in Ruidoso, N.M., with the Reverend Bob Sawyer officiating. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home.
She was born in Dayton, Ohio, and was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Son, William G. Peterson of Austin; daughter, Beverly Peterson of Alto, N.M.; sister, Louise Beck of Ithaca, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.

Oleta Shifflett
KERMIT— Oleta Mae Shifflett, 85, of Kermit, a homemaker, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, in Crane.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Family Services Funeral Parlor.
She was born in St. Jo.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Joe Shifflett of Abilene, L.B. Shifflett of Novice, and Wiley Shifflett of Texas City; daughter, Mary Franklin of Kermit; sisters, Blanche Harvison of Fort Worth, and Pauline Martin of Houston; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren.

ODESSA - Benicia Trejo 76, of Odessa, a machine operator, died Saturday Oct. 16, 2004, at Hospice House.

She was born in Crystal City and was a Christian Catholic.

She was born in Odessa.
