Daisy Mozell Ray
ODESSA - Daisy Mozell Ray, 69, a longtime resident of Odessa, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004. In Prescott, Ariz., Mozell was born Feb. 19, 1935, to Dossie M. Shirley and Maggie Mae Shirley in Winona, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene Ray; son, John Merril Sevier Jr.; grandson, Howard Merril Neer; brothers, M.F. Shirley, T.M. Shirley, Garland Shirley and Travis Shirley.
Mozell is survived by her daughters, Kay Oden of Prescott, Ariz., and Gayle Lowery of Angleton, TX.; brother, Robert L. Shirley of Odessa, TX.; grandchildren, Steven Chavez, April Razo, David Sevier, Robin Munzo, Joseph Sevier and Kyle Sevier; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services arranged by Heritage Memory Mortuary of Prescott, Ariz.
There will be a visitation at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to until 12 noon Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, with a graveside service to follow at 1 p.m. at the Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. David Adkins officiating.
Bill Riley
MIDLAND - Bill Riley, of Midland, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2004.
He was born February 26, 1922, in Junction, Texas, and was raised and educated there. After graduating high school Bill attended Texas A & M receiving an agricultural degree. He proudly served his country during WW II in the U.S. Army, 57th Bomb Wing. After the war he worked for the government in the Agricultural Dept. In 1969, he moved to Midland and worked as an air traffic controller at Midland Airport. At the time of his death Bill was a realtor and real estate broker. His memberships included the First Presbyterian Church in Midland and in Junction and was a 32 degree Mason with the Midland and Junction lodges.
Bill loved to fly and travel. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting and family and friends thought of him as a wine connoisseur. He was a friendly and loving person and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; two sisters; and his previous wife, Lori.
Bill is survived by his wife, Carole Standefer Riley of Midland, TX; his children, Gary Riley and his wife of Austin, TX, and Cindy Rottersmann of Austin, TX; stepchildren, David Standefer, Chest Standefer, Leslie White and husband, Derrick, all of Midland, TX; one sister; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A wake service will be held at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday, November 23, 2004, at 5 p.m. Memorial services will follow at a later date in Junction, Texas.

John Paul Rumbaugh
SPRINGFIELD, MO. - Mr. John Paul Rumbaugh, 87, Ozark, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2004, in his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on March 8, 1917, in Lower Hillville, Pennsylvania, the son of William Rueben and Amelia Reiser Rumbaugh, both of which preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were four brothers, George, Bob, Edward and Floyd and three sisters, Bertha, Edna and Gertrude.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a survivor of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He served on the USS San Francisco but helped out the USS New Orleans during the attack on Pearl Harbor. He has since spent many years working on oil rigs in the North Sea and in many other places around the globe. He was united in marriage to Mary Tate on August 29, 1953, in Roswell, New Mexico. His hobbies included wood working, landscaping, and gardening both produce and flowers. He had a fond appreciation for nature and enjoyed bird watching. He was very family oriented and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. John will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of the home, Mary Rumbaugh; one son, John Paul Rumbaugh Jr., of Little Rock, AR; four daughters, Gail Hicks of Springfield, VA, Sue Wilson and husband, Milton, of Sugarland, TX, Linda Madden of Ozark and Paula Wolcott and husband, Richard, of Lake Jackson, TX; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2004, at 10 a.m. at Thieme-Shadel-Hicks Funeral Service. Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans cemetery with military honors provided.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2004, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Paulino Salinas
ODESSA - Paulino Salinas, 67, passed away Monday, November 22, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. Mr. Salinas was a Catholic. Mr. Salinas was born August 19, 1937, in Agualeguas, Nueva Leon, Mexico, to father, Jose Salinas, and mother, Severa Pena Salinas, who both preceded him in death.
Mr. Salinas was also preceded in death by five brothers, Felix Salinas, Genaro Salinas, Guillermo Salinas, Jose Salinas, Loy Salinas, Manuel Salinas, and Mario Salinas.
He is survived by his wife, Elvira Salinas of Odessa; daughters, Teresa Sotelo and husband, Herman, and Rosalba Renteria and husband, Ismael, all of Odessa; two sisters, Juanita Rodriguez of Goliad, Texas, and Ester Leal of Odessa; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2004, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. Joe Uecker officiating, with interment following at Ector County cemetery, Rose Hill section. A rosary will be said this evening at 7:30 p.m. at Martinez Funeral Home.

Christine Sue Walker
ODESSA - Christine Sue Walker, 54, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born November 9, 1950, in Levelland, Texas, to Thomas Theodore Horton and Lillian Lucille Greenway. She united in marriage to Lawerence Alexander Walker on December 19, 1977, in Dumas, Texas. She has two daughters whom she deeply and dearly loves.
She was a fifth-grade teacher at Goliad Elementary. She had been with ECISD for 24 years, only missing one day of work in those 18 of 24 years of loyal service. To family and friends alike, she had been an inspirational angel who loved everyone and gave 100 % of her life to all of them. She had been best of all a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher and a dear and loving friend. She loved children, teaching all the students about reaching their goals in life, and being blessed by the friendship and love of all the personnel at her facility, for whom she cared so deeply.
She is survived by husband, Lawerence Alexander “Lonnie” Walker of Odessa; two daughters, Crystal Ann Simmons of Tulsa, Okla., and Heather Dawn Walker of Odessa, TX; three brothers, Gerald Horton of Dumas, TX, Johnnie Horton of Lakewood, Colorado, and J.W. Horton of Fayetteville, Tenn; two sisters, Genevive Harrison of New Waverly, TX, and Lillian Powers of Ft. Lupton, Co.; brothers-in law, Richard and Mike Walker; five grandchildren; and several niece and nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and so many friends across the country.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2004, at Faith Community Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The entire Walker family would like to extend and express there deepest of gratitude, to Christine’s friends and co-workers who knew her best and have been the greatest support to all of us. To all the E.R. Doctors, nurses, and the ICU staff, at Medical Center Hospital. A special gratitude and a warm embrace to Brenda Robinson, Robert Miller, Sam Stanley, and Richard Walker for being by our side though this most difficult time. BIG SPRING — Felipe Dominguez, 85, of Big Spring, died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was born in Marfa. He had been a longtime resident of Big Spring. He was Catholic.

PECOS — Callie Holloway, 94, a retired seamstress, of Pecos, died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at Reeves County Hospital.

She was born in Pecos and was a lifelong resident. She was Baptist.
