residence.

He was born in Odessa.

SEMINOLE - R.O. Baker, 76, of Seminole, died Saturday, Nov. 6 at Memorial Hospital in Seminole.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Community Chapel with the Rev. Dan Dale officiating. Burial will follow in Segraves cemetery.
He was born in Athens. He wasa BaptistHew as a past member of the Odd Fellows and was active with Seminole Senior Citizens. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Regina Baker and Renee Chapman, both of Stephenville, Carolyn Newman of Santa Fe, N.M., and Barbara Hayes of Austin; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
RODOLFO M. BRITO
BIG SPRING - Rodolfo M. Brito, 80, of Big Spring, formerly of Odessa, died Friday, Nov. 5 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center following a long illness.
Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. today at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church in Barstow with the Rev. Manuel Munoz, officiating. Burial will follow in Barstow cemetery.
He was born in Ruidosa. He had lived in Big Spring for 30 years coming from Odessa. He retired from the Texas and Pacific Railroad. He was a Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Robert Brito of Odessa, and Miguel Brito and Richard Brito, both of Big Spring; two daughters, Maria Rojas and Gloria Brito, both of Big Spring; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and one sister: Lola Carrasco of Pecos.
MELVIN VINCENT COWAN
FORT STOCKTON - Retired Fr. Melvin Vincent Cowan, 89, of Fort Stockton, died Thursday, Nov. 4 in Odessa after a lengthy illness.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Fort Stockton with Fr. Floro Hinacay officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Burial will be at a later date in Hayward, Calif.
He was born in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was ordained a Catholic priest in 1943 and served the Fort Stockton-Coyanosa area from 1980 to 1983.
SURVIVORS: Siblings, Harvey Cramer of Oklahoma City, Okla., Val Valentine of Fremont, Calif., Richard Avascal of Pleasanton, Calif., and Millie Avila of Clovis, Calif.

ODESSA - Hettie Hake, 95, of Odessa, died Nov. 5 at her residence.
Services are at 3 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Keene cemetery in Keene.
She was born in Blevins, Ark. She was employed by Missouri Pacific Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Darlene F. Simmons; step-son, Belmont C. Hake; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

ODESSA - Bernis L. Lincoln Sr. 71, of Odessa, died Saturday November 6 in Monahans.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Gentry officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill cemetery.
He was born Texarkana, Texas. He was a retired Cpl. with the Odessa Police Department.

A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marathon. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Rick Ruiz as celebrant. Burial will follow in Marathon cemetery.
He was born in marathon. He was a U.S. Postal Service carrier.
