Erin Marcum Wall
MIDLAND — Erin Wall, of Midland, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2004.
She was born September 23, 1947, to Carl B. Marcum and Veronica Maloney Marcum in Lexington, Kentucky. Erin was raised and educated in Big Spring, Texas, graduating from Big Spring High School in 1965. She continued her education at TCU graduating in 1969 with a BSN degree. On September 25, 1982, she married
J.K. “Rusty” Wall in Houston, Texas. Erin had been employed with the City of Midland Health Department as nursing supervisor, was the city health nurse for the City of Midland and was a school nurse with ECISD.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1996.
Erin is survived by her husband, J.K. “Rusty” Wall of Midland, TX; son, Toby Wall and stepson, Marlow D. WalL, both of Midland, TX; mother, Veronica “Mickey” Marcum of Houston, TX; sister, Candy Marcum and her partner, Carolyn Hall, of Dallas, TX; sister, Pamela Marcum and her husband, Bill Crowden, of Waco, TX; sister-in-law, Linda Bickel and her husband, Steve, of Houston, TX; aunt and uncle, Oona and Dr. Vincent Kitowski of Houston, TX; aunt, Kathleen Brumfield of Baton Rouge, LA; and numerous cousins.
The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home Friday, October 22, 2004, between the hours of 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2004, at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Father Rodney White officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ector County cemetery, Rosehill Section, in Odessa. Joyce Weems
ODESSA — Joyce Weems, 72, of Odessa, passed away October 19, 2004, at Hospice House. She was born December 22, 1931, to John and Mary Wright in Gustine, Texas. She was a graduate of Gustine High School. In 1949 she married
John Weems in Hamilton, TX, and had been happily married
for 55 years. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved her family very much. She will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by both her parents; two brothers; and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, John Weems of Odessa; sons, Carl, Kenneth and Cecil Weems of Odessa; daughter, Diane Randall of Odessa; brother, Jimmy Wright of Wylie, TX; sisters, Maxine Plummer of Paris, TX., Pat Carlisle of Hamilton, Jessie Richardson of DeLeon, Shirley Hodges of Iowa Park and Jackie Osburne of Big Spring; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 22, 2004, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. with Jimmy Braswell officiating. The family requests that any donations should be made to Hospice House.

Durward Alvin Cox
MIDLAND — Durward Alvin Cox passed away October 11, 2004, at Clear Lake Regional Hospital in Webster, TX. He was born in Albany, TX., on November 28, 1930, after which he and his family moved to Grandfalls, TX. Upon graduation from Grandfalls High School, he joined the United States Marine Corps. Durward worked in the Oil Field throughout his career, including Russco Chemical and Petro-Chem Services, which he owned along with Frank Cline. Outside of his family, Durward’s passions included fishing, horses and his bulldog, Too Mean.
Durward was preceded in death by his loving wife and friend, Martha Cox; mother, Minnie and father, Lawton Cox; along with sisters, Leora Armstrong and Dixie Parton.
He is survived by his daughter, Susann Blackman; son, Lance Cox; stepsons, Robert, Neil and John Kepple; along with stepdaughters, Terry Anderson and Barbara Grimmer. Durward is also survived by his brothers, Norman and Bill Cox and sisters, Barbara Floyd and Linda Woods. Durward and Martha were blessed with 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2004, at Ellis Funeral Home, Midland, TX.

Roy Segal French
ODESSA — Roy Segal French, 74 years of age, passed away October 14, 2004, at the Hospice House in Odessa.
He was born November 23, 1929, in Hall County, Turkey, Texas. He was a truck driver in the oil industry and member of Westover Baptist Church. He married
his wife, Lois, on October 28, 1945. She preceded him in death on November 3, 1997.
Surviving are his sons, Roy David French of Angleton TX., Belvie Carroll French of Cleveland, TX., and Randall Allen French of Abilene, TX.; daughters; Jo Ann French and Linda Faye French, both of Odessa, Sharon Annette Haggard of Ft. Worth, TX., and Charlotte Rene Wilson of Cleveland, TX.; brother, Belvie Darrel French of Tolar, TX., sister, Helen Wilson of Roswell N.M.; 24 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services have been set for Saturday, October 16, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Terry Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to the Hospice House of Odessa.

Jynelle McFarland
ANDREWS — Funeral services for Jynelle McFarland, 82, of Andrews will be 10 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2004, at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with Rev. Larry Brewer, Pastor of City of Refuge Church, officiating.
Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Monday at Blackwell cemetery in Blackwell, Texas, under the direction of McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.
She died Thursday, October 14, 2004, in Andrews.
She was born March 14, 1922, in Blackwell. She married
Robert LeRoy McFarland on February 15, 1935, in Blackwell. She had worked as a bookkeeper for Levines Clothing Store in Borger. She had lived in Odessa and moved to Andrews in 2001. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blackwell.
Her husband preceded her in death on October 2, 2002; and her daughter: Robbie Ann Smiley on April 22, 2004.
She is survived by her daughter: Sandra Birchfield of Andrews; 3 sisters: Rozelle Roye and husband J.E. of San Angelo, Juandelle Weddle of Emory, and Carolyn Johnson of Kermit; 1 brother: Perry Vest and wife Margie of Ballinger; 5 grandchildren: Terryl Cope and husband Bennie of Goldsmith, Melody Herring and husband Tim of Odessa, Heather Burt and husband Jeff of Casper, Wyoming, and Jynna Chadwick and husband Marty of Andrews, and Josh Birchfield of Andrews; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Regena Kay Thiebaud
MIDLAND — Regena Kay Thiebaud, 48, was called home to be with God on October 15, 2004, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Odessa, September 10, 1956.
Regena resided in the Odessa/Midland area throughout her life. She was owner/operator of Wild West Taxidermy. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Regena was a member of Mid-Cities Church and participated in team roping for many years.
She is survived by her parents, Paul and Marie Agnew of Odessa; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Amy Roland and granddaughters, Sydney and Morgan of Eagle Pass; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Andria Thiebaud of Tyler; sister, Renee Thiebaud of San Antonio; grandmother, Verna Henshaw of Okemah, Okla.; nephews, Dean and Blayne Thiebaud; niece, Amanda Thiebaud; and numerous other relatives, friends and animals. She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Thiebaud.
Visitation will be at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home in Odessa Saturday, October 16, 2004, from 4 p.m. to 6pm. A memorial service will be held at Mid-Cities Community Church, 8700 W. Hwy. 191, Midland, TX., on Sunday, October 17, 2004, at 3:00 p.m.

Catherine Walter Treece ‘Bunky’
ODESSA — Bunky Treece left this world on October 15. She was born July 7, 1921, and grew up in the Heights of Houston. She was proud of her Reagan High School Redcoats, where she served as an officer in the drill team from 1937-1939.
Bunky was a dedicated Christian and a member of the Heights Church of Christ until she and her husband, Tommy, moved to Odessa during the war. In Odessa, she was a faithful member of the 6th and Jackson Street Church of Christ for over forty years, 27 of which she served as church secretary. Her life was that of a beautiful Christian lady. She taught those who loved her to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. She lived her life by these same teachings.
So many mourn her passing; including her daughter, Sharon Lee Whitlock and husband, Don, of Austin; her son, Gerald Treece and wife, Sue, of Houston; her brothers, Gerald and Ronald Walter; sister, Mary Arnold; grandchildren, Justin and Trisha Treece and Rob and Joy Whitlock; and her great-granddaughter, Lori Whitlock.
We know that it is a great day for her, but we already miss her so. She will always be a beautiful Christian Lady, a great Christian mother and a wonderful Christian grandmother. Bye for now, Mom.
Graveside services will be conducted Monday, October 18th at 10 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorial services will be celebrated at 12 noon at the 6th and Jackson Church of Christ, Odessa, TX.
Lydia Pauline Brandt Lawson
ODESSA — Lydia Pauline Brandt Lawson, 75, a longtime resident of Odessa, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2004, at Regency Hospital. She was born April 20, 1929, in New Braunfels. She married
Raymond Lawson March 11, 1946, in Corpus Christi. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lena Brandt and sister, Telka Freeman.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Lawson of Odessa; son, David Lawson and wife, Cathy, of Waxahachie; daughters, Patty Fraley and Barbara Lawson, both of Odessa, Bonnie Herring of Victoria and Virginia Green and husband, Al, of Greencastle, Ind.; brother, Leroy Brandt of Chesapeake Bay, Va.; sisters, Josephine Quinn of Columbus, OH., and Clara Seitz of Ft. Worth; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sunday October 17, 2004, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Patsy June ‘Pat’ Little
SAN ANGELO — Patsy June ”Pat” Little, 67, of San Angelo, passed away Monday, October 18, 2004. She was born June 4, 1937, the seventh child of Maurine and Thomas Covington. Pat married
James Ray “Jim” Little August 25, 1970, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked in the financial industry, also through the years with her extended family of Town and Country Food Stores. She was also a past volunteer for the Ladies Auxiliary at San Angelo Community Hospital.
“MeMe” as she was affectionately known by her grandchildren was very involved with their everyday lives and took great pride and spoiled them along the way with taking great joy in doing so. Her love knew no bounds with her family and she showed how proud of them she was on a daily basis. Her lessons of love were stepping stones she laid for her family to build upon. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten and with us in our hearts always.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and one sister. She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Little; one son, Donn Little; two daughters, Darla Miller and Jackie Couch; two brothers, Guy Covington and Harold Covington; one sister, Nelda Holden; twelve grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 22, 2004, at the Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Andrews officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers for the service will be Blake Little, Eric Bartlett, Steve Stephens, Don Allison, Lloyd Norris and Tom Winter.
