Maxine Parrish

ODESSA -- Maxine Jewel Parrish, 72, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Monday, March 30, 1998, in Odessa.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Mount Sinai Baptist Church with the Rev. Lawrence Rhea officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in Pearsall and was a resident of Odessa for 28 years. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Lorenza Lawrence Parrish of Odessa; daughter, Linda Joyce Parrish of San Antonio; brothers, Paul Riley of San Antonio and Wallace Riley of Garland; sister, Sophia Riley of San Antonio; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Joe Segovia

PECOS -- Joe Segovia, 54, of Pecos, a rancher and farmer, died Tuesday, March 31, 1998, at Reeves County Hospital.

Rosary will be said at 7:30 tonight at Martinez Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Pecos and was a lifetime resident. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Bertha Segovia of Pecos; sons, Ricardo Segovia of Woodland, Calif., and Jeffery Segovia of Odessa; daughters, Stephanie Segovia and Isabel Segovia, both of Pecos; brothers, Dulces Segovia and Marcos Segovia, both of Odessa, George Segovia of Jal, N.M., and Joe Sosa of Odessa; sisters, Florence Dominguez of Odessa, Jesusita Lopez of Big Spring, Julia Brionez of Kermit and Abby Montoya of San Angelo; and nine grandchildren.

Stella Stone

MONAHANS -- Stella Mae Stone, 92, of Teague, a homemaker, died Tuesday, March 31, 1998, at Teague Nursing Center.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. William Halter officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

She was born in Dublin, Texas, and had lived in Monahans since 1950. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Son, Bill Stone of Mexia; daughter, Joyce Miller of Monahans; brother, Leldon B. Allen of Ajo, Ariz.; sister, Alice Holsomback of Lancaster Calif.; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Jimmy Wilkinson

ANDREWS -- Jimmy Lewis Wilkinson, 56, of Odessa, a plant operator at Huntsman Corporation, died Monday, March 30, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Bob Dupont officiating. Burial will be at Andrews North cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

He was born in Hamlin and was a 35-year resident of Odessa. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Shanea Wilkinson of Odessa; sons, Cary Wilkinson of Irving and Michael Wilkinson of Salado; parents, Forrest and Evelyn Johnson of Andrews; brother, Fred Johnson of Andrews; sisters, Brenda Morris and Doris Johnston, both of Andrews; and two grandchildren.

George Anna Clark

LUBBOCK -- George Anna Wynne Clark, 78, of Wolfforth, died Friday, March 27, 1998, at University Medical Center.

Services were held March 31 at Resthaven Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Kingsley officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Resthaven Funeral Home.

She was born in Glen Rose and moved to the Lubbock area in 1928. She was Protestant.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Anna Lou Ream of Odessa; Ida Bramhall of Lubbock, Georgetta of Wolfforth; brother, Mart Spencer of Boise, Idaho; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Abel Hinojos

ALPINE -- Abel Alvarado Hinojos, 81, of Alpine, a retired maintenance person for the City of Alpine, died Monday, March 30, 1998, at an Odessa hospital.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Peace. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Peace with the Rev. Rick Ruiz officiating. Burial will be at Holy Angels cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.

He was born in Lajitas.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Rosa Hinojos of Alpine; sons, Merced Abel Hinojos and Ramon Hinojos, both of Alpine, Marcario Hinojos of Ozona, Pedro Hinojos of McCamey; daughters, Manuela Rodriguez of Albuquerque, N.M., Cruz Martinez of Eagle Pass, Rosie Roach of San Antonio; brother, Santiago Hinojos of Odessa; sisters, Josefa Ortiz of Monahans, Isabel Villa of Alpine; 24 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Margarita Rivera

FORT STOCKTON -- Margarita Gamboa Rivera, 62, of Fort Stockton, a homemaker, died Tuesday, March 31, 1998, at her residence.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel with Juan Ortiz officiating. Burial will be at East Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.

She was born in Sanderson and had been a resident of Fort Stockton since 1974 after moving from Sanderson. She a was a member of the Jehovah's Witness of Fort Stockton Kingdom Hall. SURVIVORS: Husband, Juan Rivera of Fort Stockton; son, Johnny Rivera of Fort Stockton; daughters, Virginia Urias and Melba Ortiz, both of Fort Stockton, Rosie Knopps of Fond du Lac, Wis.; brothers, Wally Gamboa, Fred Gamboa and James Gamboa, all of Hereford; sisters, Laticia Berella of New Braunfels, Alica Garza and Yolanda Garza, both of Bossier City, La., Beatrice Tijerina of Dallas; and nine grandchildren.

Margaret Watkins

CRANE -- Margaret Watkins, 78, of Crane, a homemaker, died Monday, March 30,1 998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Good Shephard Catholic Church. Burial will be held at a later date at Crane County cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Homes.

She was born in Burkburnett and moved to Crane in 1949. She was a Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Son, Charles Watkins of California; sister, Dorothy Evans of Crane; and two grandchildren.

Maritza Carrillo

ODESSA -- Maritza Jasmine Carrillo, infant daughter of Norma J. Carrillo and Gerardo Carrillo, of Lubbock, died Friday, March 27, 1998, at Highland Hospital in Lubbock. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill Babyland cemetery in Odessa with the Rev. Frank Chavez officiating. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

She was born in Lubbock.

Survivors: Parents; and grandparents, Baldemar Jaquez, Amelia Jaquez, Leobardo Carrillo and Gloria Carrillo, all of Odessa.

Dorothy Cowdrey

POST -- Dorothy Inez Cowdrey, 90, of Garza County, a homemaker, died Sunday, March 29, 1998, at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Post Church of Christ with David Joyner and Homer Jones-Wallman officiating. Burial will be at Terrace cemetery. Arrangements by Hudman Funeral Home.

She was born in Montague County.

Survivors: Daughter, Jo Ella Sparlin of Post; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Joe Hagar

PECOS -- Joe M. Hagar, 83, of Pecos, a retired grocery store manager, died Saturday, March 28, 1998, at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Evergreen cemetery with the Rev. Greer Willis officiating. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

He was born in Royce City. He was Baptist.

Viola Hartsell

SEGUIN -- Viola Hartsell, 91, of Fort Stockton, a retired manager of Abstract Co., died Saturday, March 28, 1998, at Fort Stockton Nursing Center.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Riverside cemetery with the Rev. Ernest Dean officiating. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home and Goetz Funeral Home in Seguin.

He was born in Seguin and moved to Fort Stockton in 1927.

Survivors: Sister, Willie Mae Buehring of Weimar.
