ODESSA -- Tommy W. Hines Sr., 50, of Odessa, a floor mechanic, died Monday, March 23, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Rose Hill cemetery with Lynn Money officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

He was born in Odessa and was a lifetime resident. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Christine Hines of Danbury; son, Tommy Hines Jr. of Angelton; daughters, Elaine King and Kim Hines, both of Danbury; brothers, Johnny Hines of Odessa, Ralph Hines of Wichita Falls; sisters, Brenda Perkins of Odessa, Beverly Hines of Houston; and one grandchild.

Jose Loera

FORT STOCKTON -- Jose P. Loera, 78, of Fort Stockton, a retired farm foreman, died Thursday, March 26, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. today at Fort Stockton Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.

He was born in Matehuala, Mexico, and had lived in Fort Stockton since 1960 after moving from Uvalde. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Graciela Alvarez Loera of Fort Stockton; sons, Jose Luis Loera Jr. of Odessa, George Loera and Joel Loera, both of Fort Stockton; daughter, Rosie Loera Holland of Fort Stockton; and five grandchildren.

Lavelle McSpadden

STRAWN -- Lavelle E. McSpadden, 94, of Gordon, died Wednesday, March 25, 1998, at her daughter's residence.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at New Gordon cemetery. Arrangements by Edwards Funeral Home.

She was born in Erath County. She was Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Evelyn Farmer of Grand Prairie, Jimmie Flo Crain of Fort Worth; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Dean Rudd

ESKOTA -- Dean Rudd, 61, of Eskota, a teacher and coach, died Wednesday, March 25, 1998, at his residence.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Joel McCoy officiating. Burial will be at Rudd Family cemetery. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home.

He was born in Trent and was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Jan Rudd of Eskota; mother, Rosalie Gainer of Sweetwater; and brother, Derle Rudd of Plano.

Tomasa Zepeda

MONAHANS -- Tomasa Zepeda, 92, of Monahans, a homemaker, died Thursday, March 26, 1998, at her residence.

Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. today at Harkey Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

She was born in Del Rio and had lived in Monahans since 1969. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Rodolfo Zepeda of Fort Worth, Roman Zepeda of Monahans; daughter, Azucena (Susie) Diaz of Monahans; brother, Pime Munoz of Lawton, Okla.; sister, Minnie Chalambaga of Sanderson; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

William Collom

ODESSA -- William Maurice Collom, 63, of Odessa, died Wednesday, March 25, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Maria Alvarado

ODESSA -- Maria Alvarado, 76, of Odessa died Tuesday, March 24, 1998, at Seabury Nursing Home.

Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Luis Cepeda officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Merced cemetery in Marfa. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was a lifetime resident of Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Sister, Rita Walker of Odessa.

Robert Baker

ODESSA -- Robert Earl Baker, 67, of Odessa died Wednesday, March 18, 1998, at his residence.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Rosehill cemetery with the Rev. David Henry officiating. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

He was born in Kings Berry.

Emilio Diaz

ODESSA -- Emilio Diaz Jr., 63, of Odessa, died Tuesday, March 24, 1998, at his residence.

Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel and at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Big Spring. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Big Spring. Burial will be at Mount Olive cemetery in Big Spring. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

He was born in Big Spring.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Estella Diaz of Odessa; son, Robert Diaz of Odessa; daughter, Isabel Diaz of New Orleans; mother, Nicolasa Diaz of Big Spring; brothers, Ambrosio Diaz of Odessa, Jose Diaz and Cruz Diaz Sr., both of Big Spring; sisters, Paula Franco of Big Spring, Juanita Cuellar of Odessa, and Maria Diaz of Greely, Colo.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Richard Dix

ODESSA -- Richard Dix, 56, of Odessa, owner of RDIX Automation Company, died Tuesday, March 24, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Mark Bristow officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was moved to Odessa in 1963 from Lovington, N.M.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Margaret Dix of Odessa; sons, Trey Dix, Jason Dix and Monty Spruill, all of Odessa, and Russell Shaffer of Dallas; daughters, Leslee Dix, Greta Dix and Jamie Dix, all of Odessa; parents, Art and Helen Dix of Salina, Okla.; sister, Shirley Brewer of Kenai, Alaska; and five grandchildren.

Effie Dow

CLEVELAND, Texas -- Effie Adyce Dow, 88, of Coldspring died Monday, March 2, 1998, in Coldspring.

Services were held March 3, 1998, at Pace-Stancil Chapel with the Rev. Paul Thomasson officiating. Burial was in Bellevue cemetery in Cheapside. Arrangements by Pace-Stancil Funeral Home.

She was born in Cheapside.

SURVIVORS: Son, Norman G. Dow of Cheapside; sister, Lillie Mae Stain of Odessa; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Stanley Leesher

ODESSA -- Stanley Leesher, 71, of Odessa, owner of Stan Leesher Bit Company, died Tuesday, March 24, 1998, at his residence.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Sherwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Alton Towery officiating. Burial will be in Monahans. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Delores Leesher of Odessa; sons, Johnny Earl Leesher and Jerry Leesher, both of Odessa; daughter, Pamala Jean West of Odessa; and brother, John Henry Leesher of Odessa.
