She was born McCamey and was a lifetime resident. She was Baptist.

ODESSA -- Mary Frances Cates, 81, of Odessa, a retired employee of Quicksilver Clothiers, died Wednesday, June 10, 1998, at her residence.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Rev. Dr. David Mindel officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Seymour and moved to Odessa in 1946 from McCamey. She was Methodist.
Survivors: Son, Rodney Cates of Pasadena, Calif.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

ODESSA -- Victor Dale Griffin, 79, of Odessa, a retired letter carrier, died Thursday, June 11, 1998, at his residence.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church Chapel with the Rev. Jim Hawk officiating. Burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Missouri. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was Methodist.

SEMINOLE -- Robert J. Malone, 83, of Seminole, a former oilfield worker, farmer and rancher, died Thursday, June 11, 1998, at Seminole Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at South Seminole Baptist Church with the Rev. Shane Kinnison officiating. Burial with Masonic graveside rites will be at Gaines County cemetery. Arrangements by Roger Pool Funeral Home.
He was born in Abilene and moved to Seminole in 1934.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
