ODESSA -- Faustino Fierro, 50, of Odessa, a backhoe operator for MECO, died Tuesday, June 9, 1998, at Odessa Regional Hospital.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Martinez Funeral Home with the Rev. Dick Brown officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
He was born in Marathon and had lived in Odessa for 14 years. He was Catholic.

PECOS -- Francisco Nunez of Pecos, 81, of Pecos died Tuesday, June 9, 1998, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Big Spring.
Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at Santa Rose Catholic Church with the Rev. Antonio Mena officiating. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Redford and was a lifelong resident of Pecos. He was an Army veteran. He was Catholic.
Survivors: Wife, Nora Nunez of Pecos; sons, Cris Nunez and Joe Nunez, both of Midland; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was born in Coleman, Okla., and moved to Odessa in 1975 from San Antonio. She was a Baptist.

He was born in Laguna Coahuila, Mexico.
