Odessa - Armida Armendariz, 74, passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Mrs. Armendariz was born May 19, 1930, in Marfa to father, Susano Lara and mother, Anita Bustamante, who both preceded her in death. Mrs. Armendariz was a Catholic.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home with a rosary being said at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Raul Armendariz of Odessa; son, Manuel Armendariz of Fort Stockton; daughters, Lorena Campbell, Graciela Armendariz, and Socorro Armendariz, all of Odessa; sister, Angelica Castillo of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother, Juan Lara of Dinuba, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Jose ‘Joe’ R. Reyes
Odessa - Jose “Joe” R. Reyes, 79, of Odessa, passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mr. Reyes was born on July 25, 1925, in Abilene to Jose and Juanita Reyes. He united in marriage to Francisca Lopez on April 15, 1957, in Oela, Texas. Mr Reyes was a Baptist Christian and a truck driver in the oilfield industry.
Mr Reyes is preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Reyes is survived by his wife, Francisca L. Reyes of Odessa; two daughters, Yolanda Dominguez, and husband, Javier, of Odessa, and Betty Ann Reyes and husband, Romeo Trevino, of Odessa; five sons, Abel Ruiz and wife, Darlene, Fidel Reyes and Ray Reyes, all of Odessa, Paul Reyes and wife, Martha, of San Angelo, and Bobby Reyes and wife, Velma, of Borger; one sister, Francis Murillo of Hereford; one brother, Vivian Reyes of San Angelo; grandchildren, Anthony, Christopher, Brian Dominguez of Odessa, Valerie and Brittany Reyes of Borger, Emma Ra Trevino of Odessa, Sandy Phillips, Gloria Zarate, and Adela Hernandez, all of Odessa, and Ray Reyes Jr., Joseph Reyes and Eugene Reyes, all of Odessa; 19 great-grandchildren; countless nieces and nephews; cousins; and a lot of friends.

Dorothy Watts Tilson
Odessa - Dorothy Watts Tilson, 79, passed away Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, at Hospice House in Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jay Mayo officiating.
Dorothy was born June 7, 1925, in Van Alstyne to Charles Durning and Tommie Watts. She married
Jim Tilson on Feb. 1, 1945, in Plainview.
Dorothy was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Medical Center Auxiliary, West Texas Trail Riders, Sheriff’s Posse, Beta Sigma Phi and Order of the Eastern Star. She loved her family, friends and all animals.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Tilson of Odessa; daughters, Jan Jones and husband, Jim, of Rio Vista, and Sue Hunter and husband, Richard, of Lipan, three grandchildren, Clay McCracken, Ashli Newman and Kelly Jones; and five great-grandchildren, Leslie McCracken, Patrick McCracken, Bailey McCracken, Bryce Newman and Micah Newman.

Chip Wood
Odessa - Chip Wood fell asleep in the Lord Feb. 18, 2005. He was a gentle, creative thinker. He loved his family, cherished his daughters, and thought constantly about his Grandmother.
Chip was an internationally acclaimed hairdresser. He mentored numerous young stylists and photographers during his years as owner, operator and teacher at Looker Hair Group in Dallas. The many awards he won, as well as the tremendous respect he was given by so many people in his industry acknowledged his talent and vision. The name “Chip” was synonymous with hair. As well as hair, Chip did photography of his models and runway presentations. Some of the awards he received were: The Kentucky Colonel Award presented by the governor of Kentucky in 1991. This was the first time a hairdresser was ever given this award. He won the North American Hairdresser of the Year 4 years in a row. Chip traveled internationally with the Trevor Sorbie Team for seven years.
He is survived by his companion, Danielle Wood Bergeson; his daughters, Stella Raye Wood, Leyla Blue Wood, and Alex Bergeson; brother, James D. Wood and companion, Julie Eaker; nieces, Chrystal Wood and John Mooney and their children, Brendan, Haelea, Jahyden and Brandy Flores and husband, Jeff Flores; their children Emily, Michael, Baleigh and Zachary; grandmother, Eunice Trousdale; and nephew, Terry Bergeson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Luke’s Methodist in Odessa with the Rev. Kevin Bushart officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Maria Dolores Q. Wright
Pecos - Maria Dolores Q. Wright, 75, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, at S.W. Texas Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.
Mrs. Wright was born Dec. 25, 1929, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to father, Augustin Quesada Jr. and mother, Luz Blanca Davila. She married
Willie C. Wright Oct. 10, 1960, in Pecos. She was employed as a supervisor by the Pecos, Barstow, Toyah Independent School District for 20 years. She was a member of the Association of Guadalupana of Pecos at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. She was very active in the Pecos community, she dedicated her time and energy to helping Junior and Senior Prom, P.T.A, Booster Club, and she taught Folkloric Dancing in Pecos. She was very proud to have contributed. After moving to Odessa in 1994, Mrs. Wright joined the Association of Guadalupana with St. Josephs Catholic Church and was a member of the Lejion de Maria.
Visitation for Mrs. Wright will be at 9 a.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home and at 4 p.m. Thursday at Peaceful Gardens Funeral Home in Pecos. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Odessa and at 7 p.m. Thursday at Peaceful Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Wright will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Pecos. Burial will follow at the Greenwood cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie C. Wright; and her brother, Augustin Quesada.
She is survived by her sons, Arturo Mendoza and wife, Irma, of Sanderson, and Manuel “Monnie” Mendoza and Emma, and William C. Wright, both of Odessa; daughters, Blanca and husband, Issac, of San Antonio, Elizabeth Jones and husband, Gary, and Norma Wright, all of Odessa; brother, Zijfrido Quesada and wife, Sandra, of Auga Prieta Sonora, Mexico; sisters, Blanca Avila and husband, Pablo, of Pecos, and Krimilda Carranza and husband, Ruben, of Caborca Sonora, Mexico; grandchildren, Christopher Lozano and wife, Alegra, Sonia Lozano, Sarah Lozano, Roxanne Espino and husband, Gabe, Karina Mendoza, Daniel Mendoza, Mason Mendoza, Jennifer Mendoza, Pamela Mendoza, Mandy Mata, Zachary Bitolas, and Joe Isaac Delgado; nephews, Henry Avila and wife, Gina, and Isreal Avila and wife, Linda; niece, Sandra Avila; and five great-grandchildren.

Ines Estrada
Odessa - Ines Estrada, 92, passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, at her residence in Odessa surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Estrada was born Jan. 21, 1913, in Terlingua to parents, Merced Galindo and Juanita Albarado, both of whom preceded her in death. Mrs. Estrada was a homemaker. She married
Manuel Estrada on June 24, 1934.
Mrs. Estrada is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Manuel Estrada; her daughter, Manuela Ontiveros Estrada; and her son, Pedro Estrada.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Joe Uecker officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Estrada is survived by her sons, Jesus Estrada and wife, Angelina, of Bakersfield, Calif., and Armando Estrada and wife, Socorro, of Odessa; daughters, Socorro Blanco and husband, Pedro, of Roswell, N.M., Juana Andrado and husband, Charlie, of Bakersfiled, Calif., Irene Jimenez and husband, Manuel, Irma Nava and Rosa Estrada, all of Odessa, and Maria Pereida and husband, Esteban, of Bakersfield, Calif.; 37 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jose Jimenez, Luis Armando Ontiveros, Armando Estrada Jr., Jesus Estrada Jr., Raul Estrada, Hector Salinas and Judy Estrada Gillies.

Phyllis Ann Lewis
Odessa - Phyllis Ann Lewis, born in Burlington, Vermont, April 6, 1931, and taken to be with the Lord, on Feb. 20, 2005. Mother, wife and loving friend, Phyllis was truly a wonderful person. Phyllis would do anything she could to help others. Her warm heart and loving spirit shined to all those who knew her.
Phyllis was actively involved in her church and will be truly missed for her many contributions made to the church. Her love of God and faith in God was tested many times in her life and her trust in God always remained steadfast. When times in her life were difficult, she would always say she would put it in God’s hands.
Phyllis was a trusted, loyal and loving friend. If someone needed her last dime Phyllis would never hesitate to give. Her word truly was a bond.
Phyllis is survived by her husband Leslie; son, Jeff; daughter, Debbie; daughter-in-law, Linda; Granddaughters, Erin Yaddow and Tracy Johnston; Grandsons, Travis and Tyson Yaddow, and Brian Johnston; her first great-grandchild, Jacob Johnston, and her first expected great-granddaughter; and lastly, Phyllis is survived by the other love of her life, her dog, Cakes.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at 12 p.m. at University Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Cecil Maxey officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Larry Patton
ODESSA - Larry Patton, age 65, of Odessa, passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at Medical Center Hospital.
He was born April 20, 1939, to Edward Garrett Patton and Mae Dell Wilson Patton in Big Spring, TX. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Baptist Church. He was an Eagle Scout, a Chaplain for the American Legion, and he was a member of the Black Gold Chile Pod. He worked for Huntsman Corp. and retired after 33 years. He also enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Patton of Odessa; son, Keith Patton and wife, Amy of Odessa; daughter, Kay Silvester of Princeton, TX; sister, Brenda Leonard of Odessa; and three grandchildren, Blaine Bosenbury, Kayla Patton, and Garrett Patton.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Jose C. Saenz
Odessa - Jose C. Saenz, 77, passed away Feb. 19, 2005, at Regency Hospital in Odessa.
Mr. Saenz was born Nov. 5, 1927, in Redford to Juan Saenz and Maximiana Cepeda Saenz, whom both preceded him in death. He married
Benigna Heredia on April 29, 1950, whom also preceded him in death. Mr. Saenz was a Catholic.
Visitation for Mr. Saenz will be from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home with a rosary said at 7 p.m.
