Abilene - Juanita June Berry Hillger Moore, 76, died January 7, 2005 at her residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Faith, 5701 Highway 277 South. Interment will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. Friends may visit the family at 1033 Chriswood Drive.
June was born to Ethel (Cutteback) and Cecil Berry on November 29, 1928, in Burkburnett, Texas. During her lifetime, she lived in Odessa, San Angelo, Fort Stockton and Abilene.
June married
William A. (Bill) Moore on February 15, 1949, in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He passed away June 1, 1964, in a farming accident. June married
George W. Hillger Jr. on December 30, 1999, in Odessa, Texas. He passed away on July 3, 2002. June was a member of Wylie Baptist Church. She was a very free spirit who lived for her family.
June was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Maxwell Moore and wife Neet of Abilene; a stepson, William Richard Moore of Bullard, Texas; a brother, Delmer Berry and wife Laura of Alto, New Mexico; a sister, Evelyn McCulloch and husband Jake of Lufkin, Texas; an aunt, Bessie Hodges of Burkburnett, Texas; three grandchildren, Monica Goin Self of Clyde, Texas, Amy Reister and husband Curt and Kelly Moore and wife Tracie, all of Abilene; six great-grandchildren, Zachary Goins, Sarah Self, Zane Self, Megan Reister, Nicholas Reister, and Hayleigh Moore.
The family wishes to thank June’s nurses of Hendrick Hospice — Brenda, Suzanne and Jeannie, and also in-home caregiver, Judy Williams, for their special care.

bison, 80, of Odessa, died Thursday, January 6, 2005, at his residence.
He was born August 15, 1924, in Scurry County, TX, to Homer Robert and Ella Gertrude Robison.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2005, at Crescent Park Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Weaver of Jacksonville, Fla., and Dr. Johnny Dickerson, pastor of Crescent Park Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Claude married
Betty Jean Weaver in Penwell, TX, June 14, 1947. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Crescent Park Baptist Church. He was retired from Weatherford-Enterra and had been self-employed as a contract hot shot driver.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Robison of Odessa; daughter, Susan Talley and husband, Duane, of Odessa; son, Michael Robison and wife, Sandra, of Odessa; grandsons, Richard Robison and wife, Kimberly, of Odessa, Scott Robison and wife, Misty, of Snyder, Philip Talley and wife, Deanna, of Odessa, Andrew Talley of Odessa and Jonathan Talley of Austin; granddaughters, Lori Whitmore and husband, James, of Wink, Kimberly Vargas and husband, Freddy, of Odessa, Jennifer Pinella and husband, Miguel, of Burke, Va., and Bethany Robison of Dallas; and nine great-grandchildren.

Rosa Josephine Thomas
Odessa - Rosa Josephine Thomas, age 86, passed away Friday, January 7, 2005, in Jefferson, Texas, after a lengthy illness.
She was born June 25, 1918, in Jenning, OK, to Owen Bernard and Josephine Hibbs. She married
Richard Paul Thomas on May 10, 1934, in Walters, OK.
She was a homemaker. She lived in Odessa from 1948 to 1978 and then retired to the Lake of the Pines. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Her parents; two sons, Richard and Robert Thomas; and a daughter, Geneva Thomas, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Paul Thomas of Avinger, Texas; children, Millie Garnet and husband Chris of Odessa, Paul Thomas of Avinger, Texas, Melvin Thomas of Weatherford, Texas, Dody Martin of Avinger, Texas; Thelma Bonner of Maui, HI, and B.J. Kinser of Avinger, Texas; brother, O.B. Hibbs of Burkeburnett, Texas; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2005, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Rev. Don Caywood officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Margorie B. Thornton
Odessa - Margorie B. Thornton, 64 years, died Saturday, January 8, 2005, in Odessa.
Marjie was born January 1, 1941, in Chickesha, OK, to Chester and Vinola Howery. Her family moved to Odessa in 1954, where she attended Bowie Junior High and Odessa High Schools. While attending OHS, she was a member of the Order of
the Rainbow for Girls, where she served as Worthy Advisor in 1958 and 1959. She graduated in 1959.
Marjie married
the love of her life, Travis “Bud” Thornton, on March 4, 1961. They were married
37 years. Marjie retired from Odessa College Business Office in 1997. She loved spending time with Bud at their lake place in Brownwood. They enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and friends, and watching the deer from their back porch.
Marjie’s greatest joy was her four grandchildren. They spent countless hours together laughing, playing, sharing and loving. Each grandchild was special to their Mee-Mee Thornton. They loved each other dearly.
Marjie had a wonderful group of friends that she spent lots of time with, laughing and caring for one another. She loved these special girls of the “Six Pack, ” Judy Clements, Lou Ann Hitt, Judy (Gibson) Paris, Nita Baldwin and Judith Cain.
Marjie loved her family, her friends and life. She contributed a countless number of smiles and unselfish love to all those who knew her.
Her husband, Travis “Bud” Thornton; and her brother, Chester “Chettie” W. Howery, Jr, both preceded her in death.
Survivors include her parents, Chester and Vinola Howery of Odessa; sons, Greg Thornton and wife Danna of Ozona, Texas; and Jeff Thornton and wife Rhonda of Odessa; four grandchildren, Megan and Mark Thornton of Ozona, Texas; Cassie and Danille Thornton of Odessa; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Marilynn E. Yost
Odessa - January 7th marks the beginning of a marvelous journey by Marilynn Yost to join her brother Jimmy Lynn and her Granny to help in the building of the house where she will joyously await the arrival of her family and friends in the coming years.
She will someday greet her husband of twenty years, Raymond Yost; son, Wesley Hollowell, and daughter, Lisa Brooks; granddaughters, Stacey Wade and Mikelle Farris; grandsons, Heath Hollowell and Wesley Farris; great-granddaughter, Ashlynn Wade; and great-grandson, Tyler Wade; mother, Geneva Rhodes; sister, Kim Chaney; brothers, Donny Rogers and Danny Rogers; and beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
She was a beautiful soul and could see the best in all and knew the needs of most. She will be missed dearly and never forgotten.
Funeral services will at 2 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2005, in the Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord in Odessa, Texas, 1601 N. Grandview Avenue.

Claude Homer Robison
Odessa - Claude Homer Robison, was born near Snyder in Scurry County, TX, August 15, 1924, to Homer Robert and Ella Gertrude Robison.
He died Thursday, January 6, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at his residence of 52 years in Odessa, under the loving care of Odyssey Hospice.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Wanda Faye Graham and Dorothy Mae Statham; his brother, Robert Ardell Robison; and his youngest son, Melvin Allen Robison.
Claude served in the US Army in Frankfort, Germany, during WWII. On June 14, 1947, Claude married
Betty Jean Weaver in Penwell, TX. They celebrated the joys of a marriage built on love, trust, respect, sacrifice and commitment. The blessings of their marriage include 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was retired from Weatherford-Enterra and was happily self-employed as a contract hotshot driver. He and his wife loved traveling and joining their friends for Bible Study, Saturday breakfasts, and games of Chicken Foot Dominoes and 42. He had great pleasure in flower gardening, as well as delivering fruits from the garden to his friends and family.
Survivors are his wife, Betty Robison, daughter, Susan and her husband Duane Talley, son, Michael Robison and wife, Sandra; and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Melvin Robison, (Karen). He has 5 grandsons and 4 granddaughters; Richard Robison and wife, Kimberly of Odessa, Scott Robison and wife, Misty of Snyder, Philip Talley and wife, Deanna of Odessa, Andrew Talley of Odessa and Jonathan Talley of Austin, Lori and husband, James Whitmire of Wink, TX. Kimberly and husband Jose Alfredo Vargas of Odessa; Jennifer and husband, Miguel Pinilla of Burke, VA; and Bethany Robison of Dallas. He was also blessed with 9 great-grandchildren who loved him very much, as well as a host of relatives and friends he loved very much.

Hazel E. Hale
Midland - In loving memory of a mother and grandmother. Hazel E. Hale passed away Friday, January 7, 2005, in Midland.
She was born November 9, 1919, in Troy, Kansas, to Wilber and Cora Meade. Hazel was raised and educated in Troy. She was a former resident of St. Joseph, Missouri, until 1969. She married
Ralph E. Hale on June 19, 1969, in Big Spring, Texas. She moved to Midland in 1972.
Hazel is survived by her husband Ralph; her sons Chester Dietderich and wife Julie of St. Joseph, MO, Ted Dietderich of Tucson, AZ, Walter Dietderich and wife Teri of Midland, Eddie Dietderich of Odessa and Keith Dietderich of Midland; daughters, Cora Kaufman and husband Robert of Midland and Dorothy Wilfong of Albany, MO; sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2005, with Brother Bob Porterfield officiating.

Suzette Adelaida Gonzales
ODESSA - At the age of 12, Suzette Adelaida Gonzales, surrounded by her loving family, was called before the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday January 12, 2005, at University Medical Center Hospital in Lubbock.
She was born April 11, 1992, in Odessa, Texas, to Javier and Iris Gonzales. She was a Christian Baptist and a 6th-grader at Gonzales Elementary School.
She was preceded in death by her Grandfathers, Guadalupe “Lupe” Salcido and Adam S. Gonzales Sr.
Suzette is survived by her parents, Javier and Iris Gonzales, both of Odessa; Grandmothers, Frances M. Gonzales, Susana “Susie” Salcido; Brothers, Jeremiah J. Gonzales and Javan E. Gonzales; and sister, Ilena M. Gonzales, all of Odessa; a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and lots of friends.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Sunday, January 16, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors and from 8 a.m. until noon Monday at Frank Wilson Funeral Directors (432) 368-7191 {4635 Oakwood Drive and Parkway}.
