Gene Osborn

CRANE -- Gene Raymond Osborn Sr., 62, of Crane, a retired employee of Arco, died Sunday, May 17, 1998, at his residence.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Miracle officiating. Burial will be at Crane County cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Homes.

He was born in Texoma and had been a resident of Crane since 1958. He was a Marine Corp veteran. He was Baptist.

Survivors: Wife, Cora Ann Osborn of Crane; son, Gene Raymond Osborn Jr. of Odessa; daughter, Catherine Ann Osborn of Odessa; brother, Wayne Osborn of Odessa; and two grandchildren.

Earl Lasater

SEMINOLE -- Earl Lasater, 68, of Seminole, died Sunday May, 17, 1998, at Seminole Memorial Hospital.

Services are pending with Roger Pool Funeral Home.

Geneva Marshall

KERMIT -- Geneva Marshall, 77, of Kermit, a homemaker, died Sunday, May 17, 1998, at Odessa Regional Hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Belvue Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Braswell officiating. Burial will be at Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel, Inc.

She was born in Telephone. She was Baptist.

Survivors: Sons, George (Bill) and Don Marshall both of Midland, Odis Marshall of Kermit, Eannie Marshall of Sweetwater; daughter, Betty Jo Crow of Pflugerville; brothers, Virgil Preece of Bastrop and Buster Williams of Austin; 22 grandchildren, 40 great-granchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Myrtle Morgan

MIDLAND -- Myrtle "Marie" Morgan, 84, of Midland, a homemaker, died Saturday, May 16, 1998, at a local hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Pipkin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Porterfield officiating. Burial will follow with a graveside service at 3 p.m. at Elmwood cemetery in Abilene. Arrangements by Pipkin Funeral Home.

She was born in Mertens. She moved to Midland in 1990 from Abilene.

Survivors: Sons, Beldon "Bud" and Fred Cleere both of Midland; daughters, Fran Vest of Midland and Gloria Treadwell of Amarillo; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Carroll Nunn

ODESSA -- Carroll B. "Windy" Nunn, 78, of Odessa, died Saturday, May 16, 1998, in Odessa.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Dave Adkins officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Geronimo, Okla. He was Baptist.

Survivors: Wife, Emma Nunn of Odessa; daughters, Carolyn Feldman of West Salem, Ill. and Evelyn Box of Plainview; mother, Lucy Nunn of Sayre, Okla.; sisters, Lucille Simmons of Ft. Morgan, Colo., Eileen Thomas of Willow, Okla. and Elaine Simmons of Arp; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Betty Welch

ODESSA -- Betty L. Welch, 72, of Odessa, died Sunday, May 17, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Chapel services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Fred Bailey officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

She was born in Wynnewood, Okla.

Survivors: Sons, Alton Dewayne Welch of Stephenville, Bobby Dale and Michael David Welch both of Odessa; brothers, Odell Birdwell of Lawton, Okla. and Buck Birdwell of Snyder, Okla.; sisters, Charlene Manning of Dumas; Johnnie Sanders of Houston; Lucille Thompson, Irene Jimbo Fitzgerald, Ted Frysinger and Dumpy Thompson all of Snyder, Okla.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mary Wood

ODESSA -- Mary Wood, 62, of Odessa, died Sunday, May 17, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Richard Hubbard

ODESSA -- Richard Glenn Hubbard, 61, of Odessa, died Friday, May 15, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Sam Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Coleman. He was a member of Odessa Shrine and 32nd Master Mason.

Survivors: Wife, Molly Hubbard of Odessa; son, Kyle Hubbard of Odessa; sisters, Janie Kritzer of Sun City and Audrey Huey of Monahans.

Marguerite Lewallen

KINGSLAND -- Marguerite Lewallen, 71, of Kingsland, a retired ward clerk at Medical Center Hospital, died Thursday, May 14, 1998, in Kingsland.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel in Kingsland with the Rev. Gil Ash officiating. Burial will be in Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet County. Arrangements by Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home.

She was born in Shidler, Okla., and moved to Kingsland from Odessa.

Survivors: Daughters, Sarah Coon of Burnet County and Sandy Rawson of Ardmore, Okla.; sisters, Della Borror and Babe Ann Ellsworth, both of Illinois; and two grandchildren.

Eska Morgan

FORT STOCKTON -- Eska Belle Morgan, 84, of Fort Stockton, a restaurant owner, died Saturday, May 16, 1998 in Odessa.

A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Apostolic Church. Burial will follow in East Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.

She was born in Rattler. She was Apostolic.

Survivors: Husband, Ennis Morgan of Fort Stockton; son, Bobby Glen Kelsey of Columbus, Ga.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Margarita Vasquez

ODESSA -- Margarita Samaniego Vasquez, 86, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Thursday, May 14, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. today in Ojinaga, Mexico. Burial will be in El Ultimo Refujio Sementerio. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in La Luz Del Desierto.

Survivors: Sons, Delfin Vasquez of Odessa, Ramon Vasquez of Liberal, Kan., Carlos Vasquez of Donna, Daniel Vasquez and Jesus Vasquez both of Ojinaga, Mexico; daughters, Adelina Cortez of Liberal, Kan., Lilia Valenzuela of Odessa; step-sons, Santos Vasquez and Jose Vasquez of Phoenix, Ariz.; step-daughters, Concha Lara of Ojinaga, Mexico, and Magdalena Urias of Kermit; 33 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren.

ODESSA -- Pauline Boles, 83, of Odessa, died Saturday, May 16, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
