Troy Neilan Cheatham
Odessa - Troy Neilan Cheatham, 83, of Odessa, died Tuesday, March 17, 2005 at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He grew up in Archer City. He was discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1945.
Survivors Wife, JoAnn Cheatham; daughter, Lisa Sheets; sisters, Merle St. John of Marble Falls, Joy Taylor of Burnet and two grandsons

Boby E. Lee Fleming
Odessa - Boby E. Lee Fleming, 69, an office manager in the oilfield, died Saturday, March 19, 2005 at Hospice House.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Victory Temple Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow at 4 p.m. at Belview cemetery in Rotan, Texas. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Oklahoma City, Okla. He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors Son, Thomas Fleming of Odessa; daughter, Sarah McPherson of Odessa; brothers, Don Fleming of Seminole, Don Dennis and Louis Dennis, both of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Ann Averett Motl
San Angelo - Ann Averett Motl, 70, died Friday, March 18, 2005.
Private graveside services will be at Fairmount cemetery with the Rev. Bob Thayer of Odessa Bible Church officiating. Arrangements are by Shaffer Funeral Home.
She was born in Coleman.
Survivors Husband, James D. Motl; daughters, Nan Hadorn of San Angelo, Martha Motl of San Angelo, and Debra Lewis of Odessa; sister, Louise Steward of Odessa; brothers, Jack Averett of San Antonio and John Averett of Statesboro, GA; four grandchildren and one great grandson.

Olin Wayne Phillips
Odessa - Olin Wayne Phillips, 65, died Saturday, March 19, 2005 at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Reverend Robert E. and Evelyn Lamb officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in May, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors Wife, Edith Phillips of Odessa; sons, David Phillips of Breckenridge, TX; Steve Phillips of Odessa; Paul Phillips of Dayton, OH; and Craig Phillips of Odessa; sister, Hazel Phillips of Midland; and seven grandchildren.

Ernest Albert Scheible Jr.
Midland - Ernest Albert Scheible Jr., 88, died Saturday, March 19, 2005.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Alamo Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary L. Redwine officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born in Humble. He served in U.S. Armed Forces.
Survivors Wife, Klietamae Scheible of Midland; son, Tom Scheible of Houston; and two grandsons.

Wesley ‘Wild Wes’ D. Simpson
Odessa - Wesley “Wild Wes” D. Simpson, 66, a college art professor, died Thursday, March 17, 2005 at Avalon Nursing Home.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home.
He was born in Topeka, Kansas.
Survivors Wife, Lanona Simpson of Odessa; sons Hugh C. Simpson of Odessa and Jonathon Simpson of Wichita, Kansas; stepson James Babcock of Odessa; daughters: Andrea Bachlor of Oregon, Robin Schultz of Florida; stepdaughter: Hope E. Mendoza of Odessa; mother, Mildren I. Simpson of Odessa; sisters, Kathy McKey of Alabama, Kay Stotenburg of Canada, nine grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

James ‘Jim’ Allen Taylor
Odessa - James “Jim” Allen Taylor, 72, died Friday, March 18, 2005. at Seabury Nursing Center.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Odessa, with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Military honors provided by VFW will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Wichita Falls. He was a Marine.
Survivors Wife, Reta Taylor of Odessa; sons, Tommy Taylor of Amarillo, Ricky Taylor of Buckeye, Ariz.; daughters, Theresa Riddle and Judy Puga of Odessa; brothers Jerry Taylor of Odessa, Jack Taylor of Wichita Falls; sister, Sue Clark of Wichita Falls; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Midland - Ruby Truex, 86, died Saturday, March 19, 2005.
Visitation will be at 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at Ellis Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Alamo Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home.

Patricia Ann Duncan
Monmouth, Ore. - Patricia Ann Duncan, of Sherwood, Ore., a retired art teacher, died Feb. 13, 2005, at home in Sherwood, Ore. of pulmonary hypertension.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Faith Evangelical Free Church in Dallas, Oregon. Private burial will be at Fir Crest cemetery. Arrangements are by Bollman Funeral Home of Dallas, Ore.
She was born in Wink. She was a member of Hinson Baptist Church of Portland, Ore.
Survivors Husband, Carroll Duncan; daughters, Kim “Dan” Grimberg of Portland, Ore., and Kelley “William” Brewster of Lake Oswego; brother, Chuck “Dorothy” Williams, Georgetown; sister, Jill “Dwayne” Wright of Canon City, Colo.; and four grandchildren.

Ralph E. Hale
Midland - Ralph E. Hale, 84, of Midland, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, in Big Spring.

He was born in Hillsboro, Ill. He was a Marine veteran.
Survivors Sons, Chester Dietderich of Saint Joseph, Mo., Ted Dietderich of Tucson, Ariz., Walter Dietderich and Keith Dietderich, both of Midland, and Eddie Dietderich of Odessa; daughters, Cora Kaufman of Midland, Dorothy Wilfong of Albany, Miss.; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Edward Hindman
ODESSA - Edward Hindman, 85, of Odessa, a retired construction superintendent, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Wright officiating. Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Lubbock City cemetery in Lubbock. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Spur and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Sue Hunt Smiley of Blackwell, Linda Kay Markel of Moore, Okla.; sons, Ronald Hindman of Odessa and James Hindman of Midland; brothers, Doyle Hindman of McLean and Joe Earl Hindman of Henderson, Ky.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Angelina Rae Ramirez
ODESSA - Angelina Rae Ramirez, infant daughter of Viviana Navarete and Benny Ramirez, died at birth Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at Odessa Regional Hospital.
Graveside will be at 2 p.m. today Sunset Memorial Gardens with Benito Ramirez officiating. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
SURVIVORS: Parents, grandparents, three sisters and four brothers.

Thelma Hamilton White
Odessa - Thelma Hamilton White, 90, of Midland, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Dr. Richard Braun and Rev. Emeritus officiating. Arrangements are by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory.
She was born in Madill, Okla.
Survivors Daughter, Sally White Wood of Midland; sister, Val Echols of Weatherford; three grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.

Fort Stockton - Daidrian D. Montes, 4 months old, of Fort Stockton, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, in Fort Stockton.

ODESSA - Willie “James” Brown, 64, a retired Unocal field operator, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, in Odessa.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Andrews Church of Christ with Mark Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Andrews North cemetery. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Lamesa.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Jean Brown of Andrews; sons, James Brown of Ephrata, Penn., and Jerald Brown of Honey Grove; daughter, Chavela Brown of Lubbock; brothers, Billy Wayne Williams of Lamesa, and Benny Williams and Tony Williams, both of Houston; sisters, Barbara Ann Edwards and Charlene Brown, both of Lamesa, and Merry L.
