ODESSA -- Robert H. Burns Jr., 76, of Odessa, a retired operator for the Sid Richardson Carbon Black Plant, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, at his residence.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Newton officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Sweetwater and moved to Odessa in 1945 from Grand Prairie. He was Methodist.
Survivors: Son, Bobby Burns of Odessa; daughter, Wanda Thomason of Odessa; brothers, Don Burns of Fort Worth, Earl Burns of Abilene; sister, Kathryn Garret of Saginaw; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
John Harvey
ODESSA -- John E. Harvey Sr., 63, of Odessa, a driller and tool pusher, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Witherspoon officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. at Plains cemetery in Plains. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Yoakum County and was an Army veteran.

ARTESIA, N.M. -- Luis Madrid Marquez, 91, of Artesia, N.M., a retired employee of Solar Insulators, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, in Artesia, N.M.
Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Our of Grace Church with the Rev. Vincent Petersen officiating.
Rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Grace Church. Burial will be at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Arrangements by Terpening & Son Mortuary, Inc.
He was born in Ojinaga, Mexico, and moved to Artesia in 1918 from Loving, N.M. He was Catholic.

Earl Riggs
KINGSLAND -- Earl Riggs, 81, of Kingsland, a retired mechanic for Phillips Petroleum Company, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, in Kingsland.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Kingsland Community Church with the Rev. George Belford officiating. Graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa at 10 a.m. Feb. 7.
He was born in Chase County, Kan., and moved to Kingsland in 1982 from Odessa. He was a member of First Christian Church and Kingsland Community Church.
Survivors: Wife, Gladys Riggs of Kingsland; sons, Dale Riggs of Amarillo, Don Riggs of Odessa, Lyle Riggs of Bakersfield, Calif.; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Jewell Townsend
ODESSA -- Jewell Lee Townsend, 76, of Odessa, a retired warehouseman for Continental Ensco, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater St. John's Baptist Church with the Revs. Jasper Williams and J.W. Hansan officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in Marlin and had lived in Odessa for 52 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.

KERMIT - Clyde Bone, 92, of Kermit, a retired construction inspector for El Paso Natural Gas Company, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Grace Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Lee Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home.
He was born in Clifty, Ark., and was a 63-year resident of Kermit. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Clyde Merrill Bone Jr. of San Angelo; daughter, Virginia Ennis of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

WICHITA FALLS- Bobby J. Davis, 61, of Wichita Falls, owner of McGinnis Welding Supply Company, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998, at a Wichita Falls hospital.
Services were held Friday at City View Baptist Church with burial at Crestview cemetery. Arrangements by Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.
He was born in Boswell, Okla., and was a 30-year resident of Wichita Falls. He was Baptist.

He was born in Clovis, N.M., and moved to Jal in 1967 from Clovis.

He was born in Curry County, N.M., and has lived in Odessa since 1977. He was Baptist.

He was born in Limestone County and moved to Odessa in 1960 from Whiteface. He was Methodist.
