Dale Wilson Meyer
Odessa - Dale Wilson Meyer, age 88, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2005, at Parks Methodist Retirement Home in Odessa.
He was born March 12, 1917, to Fred and Leota (Money) Meyer in Seward, KS.
He married
Cristeena Nelson on September 19, 1936, in Oklahoma City, OK, and later moved to Odessa in 1947. He was the owner of Dale Meyer Trucking for 38 years and retired in 1989.
His parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Cristeena Meyer of Odessa; son, Gary Meyer and wife, Linda of Odessa; sister-in-law, Phyllis Meyer of Fort Collins, CO; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a family visitation from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2005, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Masonic graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2005, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2005, at First Presbyterian Church with Rev Gregg Hagelstein officiating.

Patricia Ann Nethery
Odessa - Patricia Ann Nethery, 72, of Odessa, passed away December 24th, 2005 at Alliance Hospital in Odessa, Texas.
Patricia was born November 4th, 1933, to Horace Randolph Gary and Beatrice Gary in Bonham, Texas. Patsy graduated from Odell High School in Odell, Texas, where she was raised. She married
Edwin W. ‘Ed’ Nethery on October 25th, 1953, in Vernon, Texas. Patsy worked for the Vernon Police Department and the City of Vernon from 1960 to 1967. Patsy was the mother of three daughters and a son. She also was a member of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Nethery is survived by her husband, Edwin W. ‘Ed’ Nethery; daughters, Belyndia Fisher, Melissa Davis, and Michelle Nethery all of Texas; her son, Edwin Shawn Nethery of Odessa, Texas; five siblings, eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 28th, 2005, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Jimmy Braswell officiating.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude and appreciation to the nurses at Alliance Hospital, Health South and Regency Hospital and also to Dr.’s, Madhu and Raja Naidu of Naidu Clinic, Infusion Plus and Maria Clark. The family requests memorials to the American Heart Association.

Odessa - Sylvia Rojo, age 38 of Odessa died December 22, 2005 at Medical Center Hospital. She was born November 3, 1967 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. She married
Jesus Benito Rojo. She was a homemaker and Catholic. Rosary was said Monday Dec 26, 2005 at Martinez-Smith Funeral Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday Dec. 27, 2005 at 2 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Joe Uecker officiationg. Survivors include her husband Jesus Benito Rojo of Odessa, Mother, Epifania Gabaldon of El Paso, TX, 3 Brothers: Reynaldo Gabaldon of Presidio, Ramon Gabaldon of Ojinaga Chihuahua, Mexico., Raul Gabaldon of Denver, Colo., 3 Sisters: Socorro C. Aguilar of Ojinaga, Mexico, Dora G. Brito of Odessa, and Irma C. Lally of El Paso.

Billy Douglas Schneider
ODESSA - Billy Douglas Schneider 63, of Odessa passed away Friday, December 23, 2005 at Seaton Hospital in Austin, Texas.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday in the Frank Wilson Chapel with Rev. Jerry Thorpe officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Billy Douglas Schneider was born July 22, 1942 in Malone, Texas to Robert and Bertha (Priebe) Schneider. He married
Jamie Lytle on January 15, 1965 in Odessa.
Billy had owned the Over The Over Head Door Company in Springdale, Arkansas, and serviced all of the Northwest Arkansas area until moving to Odessa in 1964. He owned and operated an oilfield business in Odessa. He was an avid sportsman and loved hunting, fishing, golfing and watching football with his grandson Matt. He was very generous with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Jamie Schneider of Odessa; three daughters Kim Reese and husband Richard of Springdale, AK, Romy Schneider of Odessa, Amy Curtis and husband Sheldon of Cypress, TX; three sister-in-laws Betty Priest and husband Dan of Austin, Shirley Warren of Andrews, Lynn Tompkins of Cambridge, OH; two grandchildren Matthew Reese and wife Andrea, Megan Reese; seven nieces and nephews Danielle, Jamyson, Ronalda, Lytle, Kevin, Stephen and Josh; brother Robert Schneider, and sister Joyce Schneider of De Soto.

Wilda Louise Morris Braly
Spur - Wilda Louise Morris Braly, peacefully departed this earth and slipped into the arms of the Lord on December 25, 2005, where she was reunited with her beloved late husband, Sam Braly, who she was first united with in 1945 and her deceased sister, Thelma Hickman.
83-year-old Wilda was born February 25, 1922, in Randlett, OK to Mr. & Mrs. Ross and Laura Morris. She and her family later moved to the Deer Lake Community in Dickens County, Texas, where she continued to live and make friends with many.
She is survived by one brother, Herschel Morris of Phoenix City, Alabama; 4 sons, Sam and Don Braly, both of Odessa, Bob Braly of Cross Plains and S.E. Braly of Spur; twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and countless beloved friends.
Wilda may have left us behind to go home to the Lord, but she left behind an endless supply of wonderful memories to her family and friends. She was known for her amazing ability to always bring humor to any situation, even if it meant laughing at herself. Not only could she make you smile with laughter, but she always had that magical touch of making her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews always feel important and special. Her warm hearted personality and her endless supply of love will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Services will be 11 AM, Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at Bethel Baptist Church in Spur with Roger Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Dickens cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.
Clarence Clifford ‘Bill’ Beair
Monahans - Clarence Clifford “Bill” Beair, 84, formerly of Monahans, died Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at Parks Methodist Retirement Home in Odessa. He was born December 9, 1921, in Havana, Kansas to Henry and Carrie (Cussick) Beair. He married
his wife, Thelma, on February 14, 1947 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps, during World War II. He was employed as an oilfield gauger, and was retired from Citco.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, December 26, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church of Monahans, with Reverend Gene Brown officiating. Burial followed at Monahans Memorial cemetery under the direction of Harkey Family Funeral Services.
Survivors include a son, Ray Beair and wife, Wanda, of Lubbock, and a daughter, Carol Browning and husband Curtis, of Odessa. Also by 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels.
Aurora Dominguez
Odessa - Aurora Dominguez, 93, beloved wife and mother, died at her home Saturday, Dec. 24. She was born on October 10, 1912, in San Angelo, TX, to Octaviana (Lopez) and Emeregildo Armendariz.
Aurora married
Federico Dominguez on January 20, 1933. He preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 2004, after a marriage of 71 years.
Aurora is survived by her daughter, Ofelia Dominguez. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Special heartfelt thanks and gratitude are extended to her beloved niece, Pascuala Abeyta and to Jose and Emma Acosta for the love and compassion they extended to her — especially in her final months.
Special thanks also to Odyssey Healthcare and her nurse, Cindy Linn and to provider, Maria Casillas.
A rosary was held on Monday, Dec. 26. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Odessa, Texas, with Father Joe Uecker officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehill cemetery.

Bernard Leslie ‘Les’ Bowling
Odessa - Bernard Leslie “Les” Bowling, 53, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, December 5th, 2005, at his home in Odessa, Texas.
Les pastored congregations in Morgantown and Franklin, Indiana before coming to Odessa in 1982. He was Associate Minister at Parker Heights Christian Church for thirteen years and was Pastor Emeritus at Grace Christian Fellowship where he served since its inception in 1995.
Les touched a number of lives and was a wonderful example as he struggled sixteen years with multiple sclerosis. He had a love for the Word of God and burning desire to share the grace of God with others. This became more challenging as he preached first being strapped in a chair and then in a wheelchair and even when he lost his sight. Although his muscles continued to fail, his spirit never wavered. He always put others first and his desire was to train others in the Word and discipline of the Lord. His ministry emphasis was to teach that we are ‘blessed to be a blessing”.
Les is survived by his wife, Donna Bowling, of Odessa, Texas; two daughters, Kristi Greenwell and husband Kent of The Colony, Texas and Kara Nichols and husband Frank, of Norman, Oklahoma; three brothers, Louis and his wife, Debbie Bowling of Red Oak, Texas; Alan and his wife, Toni Bowling of Ft. Worth, Texas; Earl and his wife, Betty Jo Bowling of Bowling Green, Kentucky; relatives by marriage, Al and his wife, Martha Motley, Mike Motley and Terry Motley of Hurst, Texas.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 7th, 2005, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 8th, 2005, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Odessa, Texas, with Pastor Hank Lamb officiating.

Peggy Ackers Elmore
Odessa - Peggy Ackers Elmore of Odessa, passed away at Parks Retirement Village on Sunday, December 4, 2005, after a long battle with Parkinson’s.
She was born May 30, 1929, in Abilene, TX to Earl and Mayford Ackers. She graduated from Abilene High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree from North Texas University in 1950.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Wilford Elmore, and her parents.
She is survived by her son, Ed Elmore of Odessa; daughter and son-in-law, Katy and Doug Shelton of Odessa, and daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Peter Evans of Houston, TX. She had four grandchildren, Shelby Shelton of Odessa, Lacy Shelton of Dallas, and Chris and Ian Evans of Houston. She is also survived by her sister, Wanda Green of Garland and many nieces and nephews.
Peggy was a long-time member of Asbury United Methodist Church. The last few years she was a regular visitor of First United Methodist Church of Odessa.
Peggy was an active member of the Odessa community. She was a former member of the Odessa Country Club, the Odessa Country Club Ladies Golf Association, the Permian Study Club, the Odessa Symphony Guild, Texas Genealogy Society, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She loved life and although she endured much suffering, she displayed a positive attitude and outlook on life. We were all encouraged by her strength and perseverance.
Our special thanks to the many caregivers who loved her and helped her to remain in her apartment until her death and also to Home Hospice.
Peggy loved flowers and her family requests you plant a flowering plant in your yard or a park in her memory.
