Edna Morris McClung
Kermit - Edna Morris McClung passed away October 26, 2005, at her ranch in Mosquero, New Mexico. Born March 28, 1908, in Coleman County, Texas, to John Thomas and Mary Ann Long Nixon, Edna was the last surviving of 17 children. A graduate of Valera High School, Edna earned her Teaching Degree at Texas Tech University and went on to earn her Master’s Degree from Sul Ross University. Edna taught third grade in Kermit’s Elementary School for 30 years, from 1943-1973, and then in New Mexico for some time. Always a hard worker, she also drove the bookmobile, worked as a librarian, a landlord, and sold insurance for Franklin Insurance Company. Her husband, Joseph Morris preceded her in death in 1966. Willie McClung, Edna’s second husband, preceded her in death in 1984. Edna is survived by son Joseph Kerry Morris, daughter Sheila Morris Oliver, grandson Forrest Oliver and family, granddaughter Kellye Oliver Tuxen and family, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held at Kermit cemetery on Saturday, October 29th, 2005, directed by Martinez-Smith & Cooper Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Kermit Library.
Allen Lee ‘Wally’ Wallace
Odessa - Allen Lee “Wally” Wallace 82, of Odessa a retired master electrician, owner and operator of Wallace Electric went to be with our Lord and Savior on October 29, 2005, after a lengthy illness.
Allen was born in Stamford on September 30, 1923 to Floyd Chester and Georgie Olive Lee Wallace. He served in WW II 718 ROB and was a Methodist and member of VFW Post # 4372.
He moved to Odessa in 1950 from Houston worked for Humble Oil Company. In later years he became the owner of Wallace Electric and retired in 1985.
He is survived by his wife Sue Bradford Wallace of Odessa, daughters Jackie Wallace Gaylor and husband Jim of Odessa; brother Bill Wallace of Caster, Louisiana.; stepson Randy Bradford and wife Marsha of Rogers, Arkansas; stepdaughter Latricia Bradford Williams and husband Boyd of Greenbrier, Arkansas; grandson Shannon Gaylor and wife Sylvia of Odessa; granddaughter Kristi Jarrett and husband Jimmie of Round Rock; step-grandson Brandon Williams of Arkansas, step-granddaughters Brandi Nixon and husband Steven of Greenbrier; Benji Benson and husband of Damascus Arkansas, Tia Bradford of Rogers Arkansas, Brittany Bradford of Morrelton, Arkansas, great-grandsons Taylor Jarrett of Round Rock, Britton Gaylor and Braxton Gaylor both of Odessa; granddaughter Brittany Ray of Odessa, Jordan Jarrett of Round Rock, step-grandson Reid Nixon of Greenbrier, Arkansas; two nieces and one nephew of Louisiana. He is preceded in death by parents and beloved wife of 40 years Kathleen Wilson Wallace.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Marcus Zuniga officiating.

Douglas Earl Blair
ODESSA - Douglas Earl Blair loving husband and father, passed into eternal life on November 1, 2005.
Doug, as he was known by his family and friends, was born on October 1, 1946, in Eldorado, Arkansas.
Doug loved outdoor activities, especially fishing, hunting, and traveling the back roads of Colorado with Kaye. He was also an avid car racing fan, and he could fix almost any auto engine problem before engines became computerized. During the years he was able to be active and out and about he loved high school football, supporting both PHS and OHS.
Funeral services were held, at 2:00 PM Thursday in the Frank Wilson Chapel with Rev. Bill Cook officiating.
He is survived by his wife Kaye Blair of Odessa, son Wayne Blair of Odessa; brother Don Blair; sister Linda Copeland of Odessa; and grandchild Kaylee Ellard.

Frances W. Holcomb
ODESSA - Frances W. Holcomb of Odessa passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2005, at the Hospice House at the age of 72.
Frances was born July 31, 1933, in Ballinger, Texas to B. F. and Norma Watkins.
She married
W. M. Holcomb on August 31, 1962, in Odessa.
Frances was an associate of Sherwood Bowling Lanes for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a nephew.
Survivors include her brothers and sister-in-laws, Fred and Sharon Watkins, Ken and Shirley Watkins and Billy and Iralda Watkins, sisters, Linda and Ruth Watkins and Joann Combest, (5) nephews, (1) niece, (5) great-nephews and (4) great-nieces and her little Schnauzer, Sam who has been a faithful companion.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2005 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Owen Sharp officiating.
Thanks and appreciation to Dr. Russol, Dr. Bora, Dr. Kaczor and the caring staff at West Texas Cancer Center, also a special thanks to the Hospice House for their loving care, and a very special thanks and appreciation to her dear and loving friend Betty White.

Clifford White
MIDLAND - Rudolph Clifford White, of Midland, Texas passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2005.
He was born September 10, 1926, to Rudolph White and Fannie Holderman White in Plentywood, Montana.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Clifford is survived by his wife, Verneice White of Midland, TX; daughters, Laurie White of Odessa, TX; and Robin White of Lindsey, CA; son, Randy White of Lindsey, CA; brother, Harold White of Moses Lake, WA; sister, Evelyn Daniels of Canada; numerous stepchildren and grandchildren.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 4, 2005, at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park-North in Midland. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home, 801 Andrews Hwy. Midland, Texas 79701 (432) 683-5555.

Mary Sue Blair
Odessa - Mary Sue Adams Blair, loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend, passed into eternal life on October 31. “Susie, as she was known by family and friends, was born in Oil City, LA, on March 19, 1923. She attended school in Arkansas and graduated from Louann High School in 1940, a year early because she completed 2 grade years in one.
During her high school days, she participated in various girls sports and especially loved basketball.
Funeral services were held, at 2:00 PM Thursday in the Frank Wilson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill Cook officiating.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Polly Glidwell, brother Harvey Adams and grandson Blake Copeland. Her son Douglas Blair joined her in death on November 1, 2005.
She is survived by son Don Blair and wife Sue of Odessa; daughter Linda Copeland and husband Charles of Odessa; daughter in law Kaye Blair of Odessa; sister Myrtle Garner of Eunice, N.M.; grandchildren Michelle Copeland, Bevie Blair Downing, Brian Blair and Wayne Blair; and four great-grandchildren.

Judy McFarland
LUBBOCK - Funeral services for Judy McFarland, age 50, of Lubbock, will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 4, at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
She passed away Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, in Lubbock.
Mrs. McFarland was born Sept. 7, 1955, at March Air Force Base in Riverside, CA. She married
Jackie McFarland July 23, 1979. She was a wonderful wife, mother and daughter and was loved by all of her family and friends. She was the rock of our family.
Survivors include: her husband, Jackie McFarland; two sons, Brandon McFarland and Todd McFarland and wife, Allison; grandson, Jack McFarland; parents, Leonard and Claudette Hartley; brother, Ty Hartley and wife, Shelly; niece Brenna and nephew Nathan paternal grandmother, Edna Hayworth; and mother-in-law, Jeanne Mims.
Celestia (Tess) Moench Rees
ODESSA - Celestia (“Tess”) Moench Rees, 85, wife, mother, homemaker, librarian, died Friday, October 28, 2005, at the Hospice House.
She was born May 21, 1920, in Logan, Utah, to George Washington Moench and Josephine Gardner Moench.
A graduate of the University of Utah, she majored in Philosophy and loved theatre.
In 1947, she married
Thomas Matthew (“Matt”) Rees in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. An active member of the LDS church, she performed volunteer service throughout her life as a church teacher, librarian, choir director and music leader. She edited and indexed for Britannica. After retirement from UTPB as a librarian, she served a mission with her husband in Argentina.
She was preceded in death by her husband. Her survivors include two sons, four daughters: Brigham Dean Rees of Manassas, VA, Joel Matthew Rees of Amagasaki, Japan, Sharla Rees of Salt Lake City, UT, Laurie Bush of Atlanta, GA, RaeLynn Shattuck of Balch Springs, TX, and Ginette Rogers of Roosevelt, UT; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
Viewing will be held at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home from 7-9 pm Friday, November 4, 2005. A viewing will also be held 1:00-1:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon, November 5, 2005, prior to the funeral services which will begin at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5401 John Ben Sheppard Parkway.

Ascension N. Rodriguez, Jr.
Odessa - Ascension N. Rodriguez, Jr., 3, of Waynseville, Mo., passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005. Burial was at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
He is survived by his father, Ascension N. Rodriguez Sr. of Odessa; grandparents, George and Esperanza “Hope” Rodriguez of Odessa; aunts; Teresa and husband David Miranda, and Cindy and husband Tomas Urias; and uncles; Sammy and wife Elizabeth Rodriguez stationed in Germany, and George Rodriguez Jr. He had 9 cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday Nov. 5, 2005 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Woodruff officiating.
Louise Bible
Cleburne - Services for Louise Johnson Bible, 84, of Cleburne, Texas, will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Sept, 16, 2005 at First Baptist Church of Cleburne. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. The Rev. David Johnson and the Rev. Kevin Wauer will officiate. Visitation will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Louise was born Aug. 25, 1921 in Kaufman County, Texas. She passed away Monday, Sept. 12, 2005 in Cleburne, Texas. She was the daughter of Willie Woodard and Pauline Freudiger Johnson. At age five her family moved to Odessa, Texas where she graduated from high school in 1939. She played basketball and volleyball in high school. For several years she played on a ladies pro softball team sponsored by Swell Ford Motor Company.
Louise married
Raymond Eugene (Buck) Bible April 13, 1941, Easter Sunday in Odessa. She worked at the Air Force base between Odessa and Midland during World War II. Louise and her husband lived and farmed in Tulia, Texas from 1948-1958. While in Tulia, she worked with 4H Girls. They returned to Odessa where she was an active member of her church, teaching Sunday school for over 30 years. She loved the Lord and His church, her family, and friends. Louise loved to cook, especially for her family as well as sick and grieving families. After moving to Cleburne in 1991, she joined King’s Daughters, the Bluebonnet Grandmother’s Club, First Baptist Church, and Amores Librium Book Club. She enjoyed the seniors “Evergreen” and Sip and Sew organizations at her church. Louise faithfully cared for her sick husband for many years until his death in 2000.
One of her fondest memories was traveling to Germany and Switzerland and touring Trier on the Mosel, a dream come true for her since her mother’s parents; Jacob and Emma Freudiger came to America from Switzerland.
Louise is survived by her two daughters, Linda Harville of Azle, and Kay White and husband Dr. Mike White of Cleburne; her beloved grandchildren, Laurette Wauer and husband, Kevin of Bloomfield, New Mexico, Loren Harville of Strasburg, Virginia, Leland Harville and wife Amanda of McKinney, Texas, Amy White of Frisco, Texas, Abbi White of Austin, Texas, and Jacob White of Arlington, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Zachary, Abby, and Jeremy Wauer of Bloomfield, New Mexico, Clayton Buck Harville of McKinney, Texas and Ayden Michael White of Arlington, Texas; brother, Herbert Johnson and wife Betty of Odessa, Texas; sister, Bernice Meeks of Bakersfield, California; sister-in-laws, Nita Neal and Flo Johnson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, as well as her faithful dog Monty.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Homer, Ernest, and Roy J. Johnson; and sister, Edith Deaton.
