Lane Erle McKee

ODESSA - Lane Erle McKee, 50 years old, was born September 27, 1954 in San Angelo, Texas to Jimmy Erle McKee and Vivian Lane McKee. He died Thursday, September 22, 2005 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1974 and was very active in football and track. He was employed by Arrow Trucking Company, and had worked numerous trucking jobs in the Permian Basin area. Prior to his trucking career, he cared for his aging grandparents, Carl and Mildred Lane of Robert Lee, TX.
Lane was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Carl and Mildred Lane and grandmother Bertha Donley.
Survivors include his mother, Vivian Lane McKee of Goldsmith, father, Jimmy Erle McKee of Gordon, TX. sister, Denise Walker of San Angelo, brother, Rodney McKee of Ft. Myers Beach, FL. niece, Missie Brownrigg, nephew, Joseph Walker and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2005, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Rosehill cemetery.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Lenora Elenora Winkler

Odessa - Lenora Elenora Winkler, 72, passed away at Medical Center Hospital September 22nd, 2005, in Odessa Texas.
Mrs. Winkler was born April 29th, 1933, in Snyder, Texas, to Albert Bills and Rhoda Merritt Bills Bonner.
Lenora is preceded in death by her mom; Rhoda Bills Bonner, dad; Albert Bills, stepfather; Sewell Bonner, brother; Gene Bills, sister; Beth Adcock Roberts.
Mrs. Winkler is survived by her husband of 52 years, Billy Winkler; brother; Larry Bills of Snyder, Texas, sisters; Donna Sullenger of Odessa, Texas, and Joy Watley of Odessa, Texas, two sons; David Winkler and his wife Donna of Ballinger, Texas, Rowdy Winkler of Cleburne, Texas, her daughter; Brenda Martin and husband Cliff of Odessa, Texas, grandsons; Jason Winkler and his wife Tina of Early, Texas, Davy Winkler and his wife Lori of San Angelo, Texas, Joe Winset and his wife Crystal and their children; Justin, Alisa and Joseph, of Joshua, Texas, Maxton Winkler of Godley, Texas, granddaughters; Alison Winkler of Ballinger, Texas, Spicy and her husband Jake Hughes, and their children; Gus and Tyler, of Joshua, Texas. Also, a host, of
special, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends at a visitation on Sunday evening the 25th, of September from 4pm to 6pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Service, celebrating her life, will be held, at 10:00am, on Monday the 26th of September, in the Chapel of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Lenora suggests that memorial donation be made to the charity of your choice.
Services are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Diane May Wills

ODESSA - Diane May Wills of Odessa, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2005, at the Hospice House in Odessa.
She was born April 2, 1943, in Noranda, Quebec, Canada, to Wallace and Margaret Wellington.
Diane was a very loving and caring wife, mother, sister, and grandmother who WON a short and courageous battle of cancer. Her victory in death is difficult for all of those who knew and loved her. She is now reaping the glorious rewards of victory in Heaven. Diane, with her kind and gentle spirit, was a gifted listener to all that knew her. Her determination, strength, and positive attitude during her illness was an inspiration.
She is survived by her best friend and loving husband, Gordon of more than 41 years of Odessa; daughter, Charlene Wills McCoy and husband, Jeff of Stillwater, OK; son, Vernon Wills and wife, Tryna of Odessa; four grandchildren, Lexy and Turner McCoy, and Canada and Montana Wills; sisters, Beverly Rushton and husband, Phillip of Oxford Junction, Nova Scotia, Canada; Heather Kaleta and husband, Kerry, of Canmore, Alberta, Canada, and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a family and friends visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2005, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Hospice House, 903 N. Sam Houston, Odessa, TX 79761.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2005, at First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Paul Thompson officiating.

George Frederick Cornwell

Odessa - George Frederick Cornwell, age 66 of Odessa, passed away November 14, 2005, at his residence.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 16, 2005, at the Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Emmitt Bernard officiating.
George was born July 15, 1939, in Sudan, TX, to Clyde and Willie Cornwell. He came to Odessa in 1959. He had worked in the oilfield and later for Southwest Convenience Stores as a clerk.
His parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Ronald Dean Cornwell of Odessa; daughters, Tammy Kay Valdez of Bryan and Freda Sue Daniels of Odessa; brothers, Stanley Earl Cornwell of Waco and Benny Eugene Cornwell of Pueblo, CO.; (6) grandchildren and (1) great-grandchild.
Services are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Rubie Louise Kelley

Monahans - Rubie Louise Kelley, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher and friend, passed away on November 12, 2005, in Monahans, Texas. Born to Thomas and Norma Allison on June 27, 1922, she was 83 at the time of her death. She married C.B. “Doc” Kelley on October 26, 1946. A graduate of the University of Arkansas with a major in math, Rubie went on to teach in public schools. She taught math, primarily plane geometry, at Monahans High School from 1959 until she retired. Rubie sponsored the high school annual staff and the school newspaper for a number of years. Rubie was an Eastern Star and active in supporting the United Methodist Church having served as editor of the church newsletter for a number of years. After retiring she enjoyed visiting with family and friends, playing bridge, and traveling. Rubie took great pride in the success of her students as well as her own children and was often a guest of honor at many class reunions. When former students would return to Monahans, many would call upon Rubie to reminisce.
Rubie is survived by C.B. “Doc” Kelley, her husband of 59 years, her children, Ann Kelley Burrow and husband Mike of Dallas, Texas; Joe Kelley and wife Sue of Monahans, Texas; Nancy Kelley Marshall and her husband George of Cleburne, Texas; four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2005, at 2:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Monahans. Burial will follow at the Monahans Memorial cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.

Trinidad D. Acosta

Odessa - Trinidad D. Acosta, 77 years of age, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2005, at Avalon Nursing Center in Odessa. He was born November 23, 1927, in Fort Davis, Texas, to parents George Acosta & Petra Dominguez Acosta. He was Baptist. Funeral Services will be held today, November 15, 2005, at 10 a.m. at Martinez-Smith Funeral Chapels with Pastor Clydel Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven cemetery in Midland. He was preceded in death by his son Jesus Acosta. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Acosta of Odessa, sons, Joe G. Acosta of Big Spring, TX, Reimundo G. Acosta of Odessa, Armando G. Acosta of Grand Prairie, TX, daughters, Isabel A. Nunez of Odessa, and Martha A. Herrera of El Paso, TX, brother Ramon D. Acosta, sisters, Patricia Acosta & Enedina Olguin all of MIdland, TX. 34 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Jo Mosolete LeMaster

Midland - Mrs. Jo Mosolete “Mossie” (Fowlkes) LeMaster met her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, November 12, 2005, after a lengthy illness. She was born on August 15, 1937, in Austin, Texas.
Mrs. LeMaster was a graduate of Brownwood High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Howard Payne University. She taught in San Antonio, Texas, and in Odessa, Texas at Burleson and Pease elementary schools. Mrs. LeMaster was a member of the First Baptist Church of Midland.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin and Bernice Fowlkes, formerly of Brownwood, Texas.
Mrs. LeMaster is survived by her husband of forty years, Dr. (Lt. Col., Ret.) David R. LeMaster of Midland, TX; her three children, Chyree Mosolete LeMaster of Kissimmee, FL; Dr. David J. LeMaster and wife, Heather, of Houston, TX; and Mr. Marvin A.B. LeMaster of Dallas, TX; her sister, Sue (Fowlkes) Allen-Keese of Brownwood, TX; as well as a number of nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home, Tuesday, November 15, 2005, from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 16, 2005, at First Baptist Church of Midland with Dr. Gary Dyer officiating. Luva Glenn Waldrop

Odessa - Luva Glenn Waldrop, age 88, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2005, at her residence in Odessa.
She was born March 23, 1917, to Tillman and Bessie Ince in Baird, TX. She married J.A. Waldrop on March 7, 1936, in Abilene, TX. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, feeding wild birds and loved her pet dogs and cats.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Verna Newman, and Opal Borst.
She is survived by her husband, J.A. Waldrop of Odessa; son, David L. Waldrop and wife, Nell; two grandchildren, Butch Waldrop and wife, Terri and Vicki Vickers; five great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Ima Stringer and Darlene Robertson.
Special thanks to Odyssey Health Care in the last days of her life for helping take care of her.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Griffin Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Nieves Villalobos Avila

Odessa - Nieves Villalobos Avila (Navy) 63 of Odessa passed away Wednesday December 14, 2005 at Medical Center Hospital. She was born June 23, 1924 in Pecos Texas. She was Christian Catholic and a Homemaker. She is Survived by Husband: Andres Avila Of Odessa, Mother: Eduarda L. Villalobos; Sons: Manuel and Alfredo Machuca; Daughters: Guadalupe Gutierrez; Socorro Garcia; Nicole Avila, Sisters: Rachel Pineda; Irene Natividad; Brothers: Jesus “Seny” Villalobos; Mickey Villalobos; all of Odessa; Pedro Villalobos of Pecos. 7 Grandchildren; 14 great-Grandchildren. Services will be held at 3 PM Friday December 16, 2005 at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private at a later time. Navy loved cooking and looking out for the less fortunate. Despite her illness, she befriended the hungry, the needy, and enjoyed feeding and comforting many friends. She never saw anyone as a stranger. She had a heart of gold always giving without expecting as much as a thank you. She was a great fighter, a champion. She was our Rock, She will be greatly missed by all she left behind, but at the same time we’ll be rejoicing that God chose her as the best one in the flock to join him.
