Odessa - Jo Ann Price, 67 of Odessa passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at Medical Center Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday in the Frank Wilson Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
She was born October 2, 1938 in Levelland, Texas to Horace and Evelyn Parnell.
She married
Delbert Price March 31, 1956 in Monahas. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Delbert Price of Odessa; daughter Patsy Zemlock and husband Lee of Odessa; brothers Bill Parnell and wife Beverly of Andrews, Russell Parnell and wife Bess of Odessa; brother in law Bob Kizzar of Monahans; grandchildren Amber Holligan of Dallas, Ashley Holligan of Odessa and several nieces and nephews.

Leslie (Les) Dale Sharp
Crane - Angels were singing as our Heavenly Father opened his arms wide to welcome our loved one home. Leslie (Les) Dale Sharp went to his celebration in heaven on January 3, 2006.
Les was born on February 4, 1940, in Coryell County to W.O. and Artis Sharp. He received most of his education in Bronte, Texas.
In 1962, Les was working in Andrews, Texas, where he met the love of his life, Brenda Templeton. They became one on May 11, 1962. Together they lived in numerous places while Les was a Heavy Equipment Operator. In 1974, Les dedicated his life to the passion of being a truck driver until his retirement in 2005.
Les was a member of the Church of Christ. His enormous faith grew stronger with each passing day especially during his illness, letting the family know “not to be angry, because this was in the Lord’s plan.”
Les has several past times that he enjoyed like fishing and listening to Old Country Music. But his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his grandchildren.
He was welcomed home by his loved ones that preceded him in death. His parents, W.O. and Artis Sharp, maternal grandparents, Albert and Nellie Bragewitz, paternal grandparents, Elbert and Laura Sharp, and a brother, JW Sharp.
He will be greatly missed by his survivors. The love of his life, Brenda Sharp; one son, Curtis and wife Maggie Sharp; and two daughters, Candy and husband Berry Ingram, and Charmin Sharp all of Crane. A brother, Randy Sharp of Water Valley, TX. Six grandchildren, Scott and Leslie Ingram, Crystal Sharp, Curtis Jr., Maile, and Christopher Sharp all of Crane, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Aguilar, Joe Garcia, Gary Peredez, Edwin Galindo, Jay Haynes, and Wally Cox. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Smith, Don Bishop Jr., and Robert Jones.
Services will be held Thursday, January 5, 2006, at 10:00 A.M. in the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Crane County cemetery. The family requests that any donations be made to Home Hospice.
Clarence Clifford ‘Bill’ Beair
Clarence Clifford “Bill” Beair, 84, formerly of Monahans, died Wednesday, December 21, 2005, at Parks Manor in Odessa. He was born December 9, 1921, in Havana, Kansas to Henry and Carrie (Cussick) Beair. He married
his wife, Thelma, on February 14, 1947 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corp, during World War II. He was employed as an oilfield gauger, and was retired from Citco.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in Monahans Memorial cemetery. Services are under the direction of Harkey Family Funeral Services.
Survivors include a son, Ray Beair and wife Wanda, of Lubbock, and a daughter, Carol Browning and husband Curtis, of Odessa. Also by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Ruby June ‘Bee Bee’ Henderson
Odessa - Ruby June Henderson of Odessa, 75, died December 22, 2005 at her home. She was born on September 27, 1930 to E. A. Humphries and Earlene Swan Humphries in Pecos, Texas.
Ruby graduated from Santa Ana High School in Santa Ana, Texas in 1948. She then married
Fred C. Henderson on August 27, 1948 in her parent’s home. They just celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary this past August.
Ruby was in partnership with her husband at Henderson Texaco (University and Grandview), Bee Bee’s Fine Apparel (Midland and Odessa), then later real estate and insurance. Among her many talents she was also an accomplished artist, author and singer. Blessing her family with precious memories through her creative talents.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, D.L. Sides.
There will be a Family Visitation Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm at frank Wilson funeral home.
Ruby is survived by her loving family: husband, Fred; daughter & son-in-law, Candace and Ronnie Greenroad of Seminole,TX; son & daughter-in-law, Dale and Donna Henderson of Plano, TX; daughter & son-in-law, Chryl and Fred Vestal of Odessa, TX; step-mother, Hazel Humphries of Arlington,TX; brother & sister-in-law, Dick and Mary Humphries of Merced, CA; brother & sister-in-law, Buster and Cathy Humphries of Arlington, TX; 10 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren.
Services will be 10:00A.M. Tuesday December 27, 2005 at Mission Dorado Baptist Church in Odessa, TX with Reverend Bob Bratcher officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens
Pallbearers will be Donnie Henderson, Mark Henderson, Steve Henderson, Phil Henderson, Forrest Henderson, Tommy Johnson, Jeff Henderson, and Michael Henderson.

Ruth Gillam McLemore
Midland - Ruth Ella Gillam McLemore, of Midland, went to live with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 22, 2005.
Ruth was born in Birmingham, Alabama, June 14, 1929. She grew up in Big Spring, Texas where she graduated from Big Spring High School in 1946. From there, Ruth attended college at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, and later re-located to Midland, Texas. She had two children, Cheryl and David, whom she loved with all her heart and was always very proud. Ruth was a professional secretary with several oil companies here in Midland and at the time of her retirement was with Conoco Oil Co. In the early 1960’s she enjoyed teaching Sunday School at First Baptist Church where she was a member for 45 years. Everyone that knew her will say that Ruth was elegant, smart, funny, and immensely compassionate. Her greatest joy in life was caring for her children and grandchildren. Ruth’s love, compassion, and laughter will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and her brother, Jim Hobbs.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Wayne McLemore of Midland, TX; daughter, Cheryl McLemore and her husband, John, of Odessa, TX; son, David Gillam of Dallas, TX; stepson, John Wayne McLemore and his wife, Kathy, of Gardendale, TX; sisters, Martha Crittenden and her husband, Morris, of Big Spring, TX; Lela Phillips and her husband, Bob, of Michigan; Mary McCracken and her husband, Mel, of Michigan; three grandchildren, Iva, Amber, and Caleb, two step-grandchildren, Kristy and Nathaniel, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Louis and Cathy West
Odessa - Cathy West, 80, a longtime resident of Odessa passed away August 20, 2005 in Sugarland, Texas. She was a registered nurse and retired from the Ector County Independent School system in 1986.
Louis West, 82, a longtime resident of Odessa passed away December 17, 2005 in Sugarland, Texas. He retired from Baker Oil Tools in 1986.
They are survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Chip Carlisle of Sugarland, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Jean Ann West of Houston, Texas; five granddaughters: Cortney and husband, Jack Niland of El Paso, Texas, Paige Carlisle of Sugarland, Texas, Heather and husband, Phil Musser of Alexandria, Virginia, Gayla and husband, Scott Keller of Washington DC, and Brook West of Arlington, Virginia; one grandson: Wes Carlisle of Austin, Texas; and 4 great grandchildren.
Daphna Geraldine ‘Gerri’ Ball
Daphna Geraldine “Gerri” Ball, age 70, passed away Friday, September 9, 2005, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
She was born April 3, 1935, to John Wymer and Zula Geraldine Smith in Monkstown, TX. She married
Dalton Darrell Ball on April 23, 1976, in Odessa. She was a mother to all who entered her home. She was a realtor and a member of Highland United Methodist Church. She was also a past member of the Rebecca Lodge.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Highland United Methodist Church with Clydel Chapman of Northside Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Alan Glover, and a brother, Cotton Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Dalton Darrell Ball of Odessa, son, John “Lance” Glover and wife, Wendy, of Odessa, daughters, Judy Gail Caldwell and husband, Alan, of Norman, OK, Dona Freeman of Fort Worth, TX, Lisa Ball of Colorado City, TX, and Teresa Miller and husband, Shawn, of Lewisville, TX, brother, John W. Smith and wife, Mary Jane, of Odessa, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jack Porter Crane
Odessa - Jack Porter Crane died on November 9, 2005, at the Hospice House, Odessa, Texas, after a short illness. He was born February 3, 1918, in Fruitdale, S.D., to John & Lula Crane.
Jack Crane’s family moved to Prospect Valley, Colorado, where he received his elementary schooling. They next moved to Timnath, Colorado, in the Fort Collins area, where he completed high school. Jack graduated from Colorado State University in 1939 with a degree in Civil Engineering. His first job after graduation was with Noble Drilling Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The following summer he married
his high school sweetheart, Josephine Elizabeth Westerdoll in Goosecreek, Texas, on June 1, 1940. He continued to work for Noble Drilling until the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Jack joined the U.S. Navy and was assigned to the civil engineering department as a commissioned officer. He served 4 years and was released in early 1945. On being sent to Odessa by Noble Drilling in 1945, he was one of two founders of the local U.S. Navy Reserve. He continued to be active in the reserve for over 20 years and achieved the rank of Captain.
Jack was active in the Downtown Lions Club for almost 50 years being club president in 1959-60. He was also active in the Chuck Wagon Gang for many years. In later years, he and Jo enjoyed traveling with the Sandhills Holiday Rambler Club.
In 1992, Jack retired as chief engineer of Woolley Tool and Manufacturing in Odessa.
Jack Crane and his wife, Jo, have been members of First Christian Church, Odessa, since 1946. He held all board positions and also served as a trustee. He taught youth age Sunday School for 13 years and later taught adult classes for several years. In 2001 he received the Elder Emeritus Award, the highest lay honor.
Jack Crane was preceded in death by his first son, Bill Crane. Jack is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jo Crane, daughter-in-law Lynda Crane Fowler of Odessa; son Dick Crane and wife, Deborah, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and son, Tom Crane and wife, Linda, of Houston. Jack had eight grandchildren: Larry Crane, Lisa Crane, Eric Crane, Hillary Crane, Brittany Crane, Erin Crane, Lauren Crane and Lindsey Crane, and 2 great-grandchildren, John and Nathan.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2005, at First Christian Church, 601 N. Lee, Odessa with Dr. David Mindel officiating. The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association.

Jim Ray Brown
Houston - Jim Ray Brown, 73, of Odessa, TX passed away Thursday, November 10, 2005. Jim was born April 10, 1932 in Romona, OK to Emmit and June (Gill) Brown. He graduated from Odessa High School (National High School Honor Society) in Odessa, TX in 1950. He graduated from Howard Payne University (Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities) B.A. English Major in 1954. He attended Southwestern Seminary (Twice elected Student Body President) in Dallas, TX. Jim graduated from International Seminary in Jacksonville, FL with his Master of Theology (ThM). In the 1950’s he was the pastor at Bethel Baptist Church in Big Lake, TX; 1960’s Central Baptist Church in Baytown, TX; 1970’s Calvary North Channel Baptist Church formerly North Shore Baptist Church in Houston, TX; 1980’s First Baptist Church in Falffurrias, TX; and in the 1990’s Caprock Baptist in Odessa, TX and Calvary Baptist in Midland, TX.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Betty Toles Brown, on November 28, 2000.
He is survived by his daughter, Carla Ford and husband Ray of Friendswood, TX; sons, Rick Brown and wife Kathy of San Antonio, TX and Kyle Brown and wife Tricia of Cypress, TX; four grandchildren, Nathan Ford, Avery Ford, Joshua Brown and Wesley Brown; “His faithful caregiver, Onita Ervin”; and countless people he touched through his life and ministry.
The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 12, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Calvary Baptist of North Channel, 6511 Uvalde, Houston, TX 77049 with Reverend Dr. Burton Purvis officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday, November 14, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at Sunset Memorial Gardens cemetery in Odessa, TX with Pastor Ivy Sheldon officiating.
