Lois Ann Johnson, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2006 in Nevada. She was born Dec. 26, 1942, in Ida Grove, Iowa, and resided in Las Vegas for 16 years. Lois lived in several states, making friends everywhere she went and with people of all ages, races and economic groups. Lois loved life and living. She enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing, playing bingo and cross stitching. She fancied cats and kittens. She felt great joy from her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Lois was a dedicated professional who worked her way from a temporary secretary after high school into many leadership roles in Texas, Ohio and Nevada, including the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock and Odessa. She earned her bachelors degree in 1983. She always cared about people, especially the disadvantaged, working in Ohio for a children’s home and in her latest position for over 10 years as deputy director of the Nevada Disability Advocacy and Law Center. She helped to better the quality of life for people with disabilities at both the state and national levels. Lois, someone whose spirit kept fighting when her body relented, a patient who beat odds with her uncommon determination and a person who raised spirits of others regardless of cancer and its harsh treatments. She was without question genuine, without question, real. We miss you, Lois. You touched our lives forever. There will be a viewing at the funeral home from 9:00 until 11:00 on Thursday and from 11:30 until 1:30 at the church.
She is survived by husband, Marty of Las Vegas, Nevada; Two sons: Tim and Teresa Johnson of Amarillo Troy and Diedra Johnson of Amarillo her stepmother, Mary Thies of Sioux City, Iowa brothers, Don, Bob, Wayne, Dick, Mike and Gerry; grand-children, Shayne, Dillon, Caleb, Savannah and Scarlett.

Fort Worth - Ronnie Lynn Reid, 50, lost his battle with liver cancer on Friday January 27, 2006.

Denise Fisher on January 18, 1986 in Odessa, TX. They have 3 children.
Ronnie and his family have lived in Lubbock, Amarillo and Crowley where he was a computer repairman. He has been a member of Fort Worth First Church of the Nazarene since 1997.
Survivors: Wife, Carol Denise Reid, daughters Tasha and Nicole and son Cody. Mother Dorothy Reid of White Settlement. Sisters, Pam Hinson of Mansfield, Nancy Rosser of Corinth and Joyce Bird of White Settlement. and special family friend Albert Edwards. He was preceded in death by his brother Roger, and his father Edward Louis Reid.

Audrea Lea (Turner) Colls
Eldorado - Audrea Lea (Turner) Colls was born June 1, 1919, in Rising Star, Texas to James Arthur and Cordelia Turner. She was one of six siblings. Audrea graduated from high school and attended nursing school in Lubbock, Texas. In 1939, she met and married
Herbert Victor Colls. Eventually, Audrea, Herbert and their son, Curtis, moved to Imperial, Texas, where they built a home and farmed there for many years. In the early 1950’s, she and her family moved to Cayanosa, Texas, where they farmed and raised cattle until their retirement in 1979. During this time, Audrea and Herbert lost their son, but began a new chapter in their lives when five small children, all brothers and sisters, were placed in their foster care. Vickie and Don were blessed to remain with Audrea and Herbert and were adopted by them in 1959. The other children were also placed in permanent homes.
Following their retirement, Audrea and Herbert moved to Fort Stockton, lived in New Braunfels and Ingram briefly, then moved back to Fort Stockton until Herbert’s death in 1982. In 1996, Audrea moved with her daughter’s family to Eldorado, Texas where she lived until her death. She was a resident of Schleicher County Nursing Home from April 2002 until her death.
Audrea Colls was a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Cayanosa, Texas.
Audrea’s many interests included sewing, gardening, canning, cooking and caring for those she loved. In her young adult years, she enjoyed raising horses and barrel racing. Loving her five grandchildren was the highlight of her life. Audrea was “Mamaw” to all of her grandchildren and just about everyone else who knew her.
Audrea went to be with the Lord Monday, January 30th, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five siblings, Julius Turner, Jim Turner, Eldon Turner, Opal Myrl Scoville, a baby sister, and her son, Joe Curtis Colls.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Rick Schwiening of Eldorado, Texas, her son and daughter-in-law, Don and Cathy Colls of Dumas, Texas, five grandchildren and grandson-in-laws Darren Morrison and Jess Martin of San Angelo.
Graveside services were held at East Hill cemetery in Fort Stockton, Texas Wednesday, February 1st at 2 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Schleicher County Nursing Home (Whirlpool Tub Project); 400 W. Murchison; Eldorado, Texas 76936.
