Jesse Olen McClanahan
Monahans - Jesse Olen McClanahan, 92, passed away at the Monahans Managed Care Center, Tuesday, February 7, 2006. Mr. McClanahan has been a resident of Monahans for the past five years.
He was born in Wewoka, Oklahoma, August 1, 1913. He grew up in Healdton, Oklahoma and raised his family in Wilson, Oklahoma with his wife, Ruth. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on September 1, 2005. Jesse was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Navy as a carpenter, building barracks in California and Corpus Christi. He worked for Shell Pipeline for 25 years, before retiring in McCamey in 1973.
Services for Mr. McClanahan will be conducted at Southside Baptist Church, Monahans, by Pastor Craig Rhoten, on Friday, February 10, 2006, at 11 a.m. Graveside services will be held at Hewitt – Bomar Point cemetery in Wilson, Oklahoma, on Saturday, February 11, 2006, at 2 p.m. Services are under the direction of Harkey Family Funeral Services.
Jesse is survived by his wife, Ruth, son Dick McClanahan, and wife Judy, all of Monahans, and daughter, Alana Hogg and husband, David of Palestine, Texas. Also by 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Olen McClanahan in 1997.
Enrique ‘Rico’ Jaramillo
Odessa - Surrounded by his loving family Enrique “Rico” Jaramillo 53, a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday February 5, 2006, at his residence, from a lengthy illness.
“Rico” was born February 21, 1952 in Pecos Texas, and raised in McCamey, Texas.
He was a Christian Catholic and worked as a pulling unit operator in the oilfield Industry for many years. Rico loved, raising and fighting roosters, he was an Avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing with family and friends. Rico married
Gloria Arreguy Nunez December 31, 2003, in Odessa. Rico is preceded in death by his first wife Alice Jaramillo, mother, Cecilia Jaramillo, and brother Ernesto Aranda. He is survived by his loving wife Gloria Arreguy Nunez Jaramillo of Odessa and wonderful children: Daughters: Julie Solis–Carrillo and husband Felipe of Odessa, Veronica Nunez-Aranda, and husband Alex of Odessa. Sons Enrique “Kono” Jaramillo Jr. and wife Christina of Odessa, Chris Jaramillo and wife Alicia of San Antonio, Gabriel Gonzalez of Alpine and Eric Nunez of Ft. Stockton. Brother: Antonio Aranda of Odessa and sister Chelo Aranda of McCamey, Fifteen Grandchildren and Numerous: Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Lots of Friends. A rosary was recited at 7 PM Wednesday February 8,2006 at Odessa Funeral Home, Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Reverend Joseph Uecker officiating, Interment to follow at Rose Hill cemetery. Up until his passing Rico wanted for all of us to remember him not with Hurt and Sadness, but with an abundance of Joy and Love for each other, and to leave us with a cherished prayer that he enjoyed reading, a prayer that spoke of the Virgin Mary titled “Beautiful, Pure and Holy She Is My Mother”……. Odessa - Billy Ray Johnson 48 years of age passed away February 3, 2006 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. He was born October 27, 1956 in Odessa, Texas to parents Jesse & Lucille Johnson. William R. Loving, Jr.
Odessa - William R. Loving, Jr., 88, a longtime resident of Odessa passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at the Alliance Hospital. He was born October 14, 1917 in Haskell, TX. to William & Anna Loving. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of WWII. He worked for the City Of Odessa Water Department until his retirement. He was a member of the Fellowship Masonic Lodge #1385, the El Paso Scottish Rite, Herman Son’s, and Floyd Easterling Chapter of the Eastern Star. He married
Pauline Barnard McDonald on March 18, 1983 in Odessa.
He is survived by his wife Pauline B. McDonald Loving of Odessa, stepsons, George McDonald of Las Vegas, NV., Lonny McDonald of Lafayette, Louisiana, daughters, Vianna Loving & Cordie Nave & husband Felix all of Odessa, (3) grandchildren, Mary, April & Vincent Magouirk and (1) great-grandchild, Trenton Robinson.

R.C. ‘Chief’ Roy
Odessa - R.C. “Chief” Roy, 79, passed on Feb. 6 2006. Chief was a longtime resident of Ector County and a partner in the Slator-Roy Cattle Company in Notrees, Texas. In his younger years Chief coached little league baseball in Goldsmith, Texas and also assisted with the Boys Ranch at San Angelo, Texas.
Chief was born in Lamesa, Texas and his family moved to Ector County when he was 6 months old. He started working as a cowboy for Paul Slator in his teens and retired in his late sixties. Cowboy life was a way of life for Chief. He resided on the Slator Ranch at Notrees for over 50 years and is well known in the ranching community. Chief was proud of his Indian heritage and participated in the study of Indians in the ECISD.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Angelina and two brothers Tom and Bill.
Chief is survived by his wife, Neta of 37 years and their children: Dolores Barton, Patsy Murray and Jerry Faulkner all of Odessa, grandsons: Mike Faulkner of LaPorte, Tx, Marc Faulkner of Lott, Tx, Bryan Murray of Midland, Tx. Granddaughters: Crystal Meyer of Uvalde, Tx. and Jamie McKinlay of Logan, Utah, great-grandsons Cody Faulkner, Brady Faulkner, Cooper Faulkner, Brayden Faulkner, and Jaxon McKinlay, and Great-granddaughter Raelyn Faulkner, Chief is survived by one sister, Dr. Mary Neiball of Midland, Texas.
Chief was a member of the 6th and Jackson Church of Christ. The family will be receiving visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Frank Wilson Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday Feb. 10th at the 6th & Jackson Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Odessa Christian School.

Seminole - Dorothy Jean Berry, 80, of Seminole, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2005, at her residence.

LEANDER - Robin Bledsoe, 57, of Leander, and formerly of Austin, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005 in Leander.

He was born in Galveston. He was president and formerly general manager for Cashway Building Materials in Leander for 37 years. He was a member of Northwest Fellowship Church.

ODESSA - James Sidney Braddock, 94, of Odessa, a general supervisor of Sid Richardson carbon plant, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005 at his residence.
