Oscar Corral III
Odessa - Oscar Corral III left this earth on March 8, 2006, to begin serving a new mission with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Oscar was a loyal Earthly servant who loved all people unconditionally. He treated everyone with respect and a gentle tone. He was a leader, and he only wanted good things for everyone.
Oscar was born to Carolyn and Oscar Corral, Jr. on September 11, 1985. He was everything a parent could want. He was an all-around athlete who loved sports. His devotion and excellence was football, but as a result of a brain injury he was forced to find a new passion. He became extremely involved in high-performance cars. He loved the thrill of racing, and he lived to make his cars perfect. Oscar excelled in high jump, and he earned a chance to compete for a state title his senior year in high school at Permian.
Oscar was a loyal friend and brother to Leo, as well as anyone else he met. He was devoted, generous, and willing to do anything he could for anyone to make life better.
Oscar loved Erika. He was devoted to her as a companion, and he lived to make her happy. She was truly the love of his life.
Oscar is tremendously missed by all who knew him, and he is now serving a full-time mission for the Lord with his father as his companion. He shares his death with his father, and is survived by his mother, Carolyn Corral, his sister, Natasha, and his brother Diego. The family thanks Leo Lujan and the Sigala family for their unconditional love toward Oscar.
Visitation was held Monday night 3/13/2006 at 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Chapel in Odessa, TX. Services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday 3/14/2006 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 5401 N. JBS Parkway in Odessa, TX. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

June Cochran
ODESSA - June Cochran, 57, of Odessa, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2006, at Medical Center Hospital.
She was born August 12, 1948 in Dallas, Georgia.
She retired as a school teacher from ECISD. She is a current teacher at St. Mary’s Central Catholic School, where she was a 2006 National Teacher’s “Who’s Who” nominee.
She was a loving wife, mother, friend and mentor.
She is survived by her husband, Ross Cochran of Odessa; sons, Keith Bommersbach and Craig Bommersbach, both of Odessa; sister, Sarah Brock of Dallas; three grandchildren, Garrett, Bryce and Hyden; and a special friend, Deidre Dorough of Austin.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Mount Vale cemetery in Sterling City.

Luie Maxel Tharp
Odessa - Graveside services for Luie Maxel Tharp, 85, of Odessa are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at the Rising Star cemetery, Rising Star, Texas. Bro. Roland Bowen of the Austin Ave. Church of Christ, Brownwood, Texas officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Frank Wilson Funeral Home of Odessa.
Mr. Tharp died Saturday, March 11, 2006 in Odessa. He was born August 20, 1920 near Rising Star, Texas in Comanche County to William Ennis Tharp and Ethel Lou Folkner Tharp. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He married
Verna Howard Rankin in Abilene, Texas on January 21, 1947. They moved to Kermit, Texas in 1947 where he worked for Pure Oil Company, and in 1953 they moved to Jal, New Mexico where he worked for El Paso Natural Gas until his retirement in 1979. Mr. Tharp moved to Rising Star after his retirement, and later moved to Early, Texas where he resided until he moved to Odessa in January, 2004.
Survivors include sons and daughters in-law Douglas and Terri Tharp of Crowley, Texas, and Milton and Glena Tharp of Odessa, Texas; daughter and son-in-law Roberta and Chuck Owen of Gainesville, Texas: Grandchildren, Brenda Tharp of Odessa, Crystal Tharp and Jeremy Tharp of Crowley. Step-grandchildren; Kendra Corder of Sun City, California, Patrick Corder and Katie Engebretson of Odessa. Great-grandchildren; Aliyah and Jada Robinson of Odessa. Sisters and brothers-in law Ramona and Don Dudas of Rising Star and Lorena and Frank Eastwood of Corpus Christi, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a sister Eulala Peters and brothers Lawton, Farrell, and Dave Tharp.
