ODESSA - Florence McBride, 80, of Odessa, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, at Cogdell Hospital in Synder.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home.
She was born in Roosevelt, Okla.
SURVIVORS Son, Jimmy R McBride of Sundown; daughters, Eva McBride of Odessa, Nita Smith of Vernon, Ernestine Kelly and Evelyn Anderson, both of Oklahoma City, and Emily William of Dallas; sister, Geraldine Golden of Oklahoma City; 29 grandchildren; 91 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

Nettie A. McMillan
ODESSA - Nettie A. McMillan, 93, of Odessa, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at Deering Nursing Center in Odessa.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Thompson officiating. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home
She was born in Texas City.
SURVIVORS Daughters, Veta Matthews of Gardendale and Belva Lawson of Odessa; sister, Jean Heck of Booneville Ind.; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

John F. Parker
ANDREWS - John F. Parker, 90 of Andrews, a retired employee of Frost Bread Co.,
died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, in Andrews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ted Short officiating. Burial will follow at the Andrews North cemetery. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Ballinger. He was a 55-year resident of Andrews. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS Wife, Charlene Parker of Andrews; daughter, June Holcombe of Payne Springs; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Tomas Tarango
ALPINE - Tomas Tarango, 84, of Alpine, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, at his residence in Alpine.
A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at Geeslin Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Alcuino officiating. A military burial will follow at Holy Angels cemetery. Arrangements are by Geeslin Funeral Home.
He was born in Alpine and was a lifelong resident. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS Wife, Natividad “Tala” Tarango of Alpine; daughters, Blanca T. Padilla of Chaparral, N.M., and T.J. Graham of Alpine; sisters, Maria T. Gonzales of Alpine and Pancha Mendoza of Lubbock; brother, Armando Baeza of Alpine; and four grandchildren.

Bennie Doris Thorn
MIDLAND - Bennie Doris Thorn, 74, of Midland, an employee of Days Inn, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, in a Midland hospital.
Memorial services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home.
She was born in Sanderson.
SURVIVORS Son, Jack Thorn Jr. of Kerrville; brothers, Wayne Holmes of Arlington and Denzel Holmes of Belton; sister, Ione Scovel of Irving; and a grandchild.

Margaret Waggoner Jones
ODESSA - Margaret Waggoner Jones, 87, of Odessa, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Rodrigo Moreno Cataņo
Odessa - Rodrigo “Rod” Moreno Cataņo, lifetime resident of Odessa, passed away Monday, January 2, 2006. He was born Sunday, February 23, 1969 in Odessa to Daniel and Lupe (Moreno) Cataņo.
Rod had been employed by Saul-Con Construction for the past seven years. He enjoyed horses, horse racing and fighting roosters. He also enjoyed football, but, when a wrestling match was on, you’d better step out of his way! But, there was a softer side of Rod and that was kids. He loved kids, especially his nieces and nephews and would call them on the phone daily.
Those left to cherish his love and memories are his parents, two brothers, Rudy and wife, Mayra and Ricky and wife, Victoria Cataņo, two sisters, Hilda and husband, Camilio Garcia and Vicky and husband, Jaime Castelan all of Odessa. He is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles.
Visitation will begin at 5 pm Friday, January 6, 2006 at 5424 W. 40th. Rosary will be led by Tony Gonzales at 7 pm, Sunday, January 8, 2006 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, 8115 W. University. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 2 pm, Monday, January 9, 2006 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church celebrated by Father Laurent Mvondo. Interment will follow at Ector County cemetery.
Pallbearers are Cruz Rayos, Martin Reyes, Nick Cataņo, Jr, Rene Cataņo, Wenese Cardona and Tony Luna.
Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel of Odessa.

Reginald ‘Reggie’ Lawrence McCalister
Monahans - Reginald “Reggie” Lawrence McCalister, 30, of Houston, a janitorial service owner and music promoter, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, in Houston.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Shiloh Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial cemetery with the Rev. Jeppie Wilson officiating. Arrangements are by Harkey Family Funeral Services.
He was born in Stanton.
Survivors Sons, Reginald McCalister, Cameron McCalister, Colby McCalister, all of Houston; daughter, Myeisha McCalister of Bryan; mother, Delores “Fatty” McCalister of Odessa; brothers, Michael Lumzy of Chicago, Ill., and Charles Thompson of Brownwood; sisters, Mary Jackson of Midland and Tiffany McCalister of San Antonio.

She was born in Fort Stockton.

Peggy Reed Powell
Odessa - Peggy Reed Powell, 57, of Odessa, an antiques business owner, died Thursday, March 9, 2006, at Hospice House.
Memorial service was held March 11 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Odessa.
Survivors Husband, Chris H. Powell of Odessa; mother, Melba L. Reed of Odessa; brothers, Guy W. Reed and Jon Reed, both of Odessa; sons, Mac A. Soules of Longview, Jay R. Soules of Allen and Daniel F. Powell and of Odessa; and four grandchildren.

ODESSA - Leslie Sanders, 67, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Friday, March 10, 2006, at Hospice House of Odessa.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Terry Pugh officiating and the Rev. J. T. Pugh assisting. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Sallis, Miss. She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Odessa.

Kermit - Charlie Worden, 87, of Kermit, a retired lease operator, died Friday, March 10, 2006, in Odessa.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at Kermit cemetery with the Rev. Monte Huffman officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are by Martinez-Smith & Cooper Funeral Chapel & Crematory.
He was born in Fort Worth. He was a member of Church of Christ. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran.

SEMINOLE - Danny Lee Autry, 76, of Seminole, a TV service repairman, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Community Chapel with the Rev. Jim Aulds officiating. Burial will be at Gaines County Memorial cemetery. Arrangements are by Boyer Funeral Home.
He was born in Refugio County. He was a member of Church of Christ and was a Marine veteran.
SURVIVORS Wife, Helen Autry of Seminole; daughters, Terry McGuire and Becky Armstrong, both of Seminole, Sheri Agnew of Uvalde, Debbie Earl of Lubbock and Dana Burrell of Kingsland; sister, Marie Brymer of Kerrville; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was born in Asherton.
