ODESSA -- Lionel Aggerman Clark, 82, an artist, wood craftsman, carpenter and painter, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank Chavez officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at St. Joseph’s cemetery in Fort Davis. Funeral arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
He was born in Fort Davis and had been a resident of Odessa since 1955. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

ODESSA -- Maria Nieves Morrison, 77, died Monday, Nov. 23, 1998.
Private services will be at a later date in San Francisco. Funeral arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
She was born in Paris, France and lived in Pecos.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Gloria Morrison of Pecos; son, Tom Morrison of San Francisco; and four grandchildren.

ODESSA -- Jean Henry, 80, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998 at her residence.

WACO -- Chase Bell, 12, of Lorena, a student, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, in a Temple hospital.

He was born in El Paso.

FORT STOCKTON -- Vicente P. Flores, 80, of Fort Stockton, a retired ranch hand, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, in Fort Stockton.

He was born in Big Lake and had lived in Fort Stockton for 79 years. He was Catholic.
Johnnie Garcia
COLORADO CITY -- Johnnie Braulio Garcia, 66, of Wink, a retired employee of Wink-Loving Independent School District, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas.
Services were Sunday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Ray Wilhelm officiating. Burial was in Loraine cemetery. Arrangements by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
He was born in Thrall and moved to Wink in 1959. He was Catholic.

He was born in Fort Stockton and was a lifelong resident. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

William Hatten
ODESSA -- William "Bill" Hatten, 70, of Odessa, a retired carpenter, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center in Big Spring.

He was born in Coleman County and had lived in Odessa since the 1930s. He was Pentecostal.

Elgin Maikell
DUBLIN -- Elgin Lewis Maikell, 82, of Dublin, a retired newspaperman, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, in Reno, Nev.

He was born in Dublin. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.

Bill Riley
QUINLAN -- Bill Riley, 68, of Quinlan, a dispatcher for ATCO Services, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998, at his residence.
Services were Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, at Quinlan Chapel with Randy Reagen officiating. Burial was in Polaski cemetery in New Boston. Arrangements by Quinlan Funeral Home.
He was born in Anson. He was Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Mary E. Riley of Quinlan; daughters, Toni Riley of Gainesville and Sandra Mathews of Garland; brothers, Bob Riley of Midland and Roy Riley of Blackwell; and five grandchildren.
Lionel Aggerman Clark
ODESSA -- Lionel A. Clark of Odessa passed away Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998 in Odessa.
Mr. Clark was born in Fort Davis on the fort in Cabin No. 2 on Jan. 25, 1916. He was a grandson of the last surviving soldier to have served at Fort Davis.
Mr. Clark continued the family tradition of service to his country by serving with the elite Rangers unit of the U.S. Army during World War II. He received commendation in the Luzon New Guinea Campaigns, the American Defense Ribbon, the Asiatic Pacific Ribbon (one Bronze Star), and Philippine Liberation Ribbon (one Bronze Star).
He began his professional career in Hollywood as a set designer and painter. He later returned to Fort Davis and married
Paula Hernandez in Marfa on Jan. 22, 1955. He moved to Odessa later that year and continued his career as an artist, wood craftsman, carpenter and painter. His generosity with his time and talent will be remembered forever by his family.
Having no sons, he treated his nephews as his own and they each were welcomed to live in his home at different times of need in their lives. He also taught them painting and carpentry, they not only learned from his skilled workmanship but were held to his high standards of honesty and dependability. He treasured family and they in turn will always treasure his memory.
He is survived by his wife, Paula; daughter Maggie and son-in-law Jon Reed of Odessa; grandchildren, Sarah and James Reed of Odessa; nieces and nephews, Jerry and Patty Lopez, Bobby and Eva Lopez, Tony and Karen Lopez, James Ramsay and Rita and Scott Givens.
Rosary will be said 7 p.m. Tuesday at Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank Chavez officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at St Joseph’s cemetery in Fort Davis.
