Odessa - Leopoldo “Polo” S. Fabela 47 of Odessa passed away Friday February 24, 2006 at Hospice House.He was born November 15, 1958 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mex.to Fidel Fabela and Ernestina Sigala. He married Martha Jaques February 2, 1991 in Midland, Tx. He was a christian catholic and a laborer in construction industry. He was preceded in death by his mother Ernestina S. Fabela. He is survived by his wife, Sons; Daniel J. Fabela, Andy J. Fabela and Michael J. Fabela and wife Brandie all of Odessa. Daughters Victoria J. Fabela, and Vivianna Z. Rubio and husband Pedro both of Odessa. Father Fidel Fabela and Step-Mother Damianna S. Fabela both of Chihuahua, Mex. Brothers Juan Fabela and wife Paula, Salvador Fabela and wife Maria Isabel, Fidel Fabela Jr. and wife Laura, Rosendo Fabela and wife Manuela all of Odessa, and Valentine Fabela and wife Delia of Chihuahua, Mex. Sisters, Margarita Mendoza and husband Marco Antonio of Odessa, Estella F. Anchondo and husband Guadalupe, and Maria De Jesus Mendoza and husband Arturo both of Cihuahua, Mex. 2 Grandchildren Pedro Rubio Jr and Michael Ivan Jaques both of Odessa A scheuled Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Monday February 27, 2006 at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated on at 10:00 am. Tuesday February 28, 2006 at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Reverend Joseph Uecker officiating. Pallbearers will be his Brothers and cousins Isaias “Churin” Fabela, Ernesto Fabela and Guadalupe Fabela burial will follow at RoseHill cemetery. Melvin ‘Mel’ Kohler
Odessa - Melvin “Mel” Kohler, age 67, of Odessa, went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ, on Friday, February 24, 2006, at Hospice House. He was a very kind and gentle man who loved his children, grandchildren, sister, and companion very much.
He was an electrical engineer retired from Huntsman Corp. Prior to being employed by Huntsman, he worked for Phillips Petroleum Co. He received his B.S. degree from Texas Tech and a Master’s degree from U.T.P.B. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord.
He was born April 25, 1938, in Hamilton, TX, and was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde William and Louise Schumann Kohler.
Mr. Kohler is survived by one daughter, Vera Linn Kohler-Ridley of Odessa, one son, William C. Kohler of Sarasota, FL; his sister, Elizabeth Wright and her husband, Harry of San Antonio, TX; his companion and friend, Joyce Leffingwell of Odessa, and three grandchildren, Jacquelyn, Whitney, and Levi Ridley, all of Odessa, and a host of friends and relatives.
There will be a family visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2006, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2006, at the Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord with Rev. Michael Mueller officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Memorials can be made to the Hospice House of Odessa, 903 N. Sam Houston, Odessa, TX 79761.

George M. Price
ODESSA - George Michael Price, Jr., 80, of Odessa passed away Wednesday evening, February 22, 2006 at the Hospice House in Odessa.
He was born to George M. Price, Sr. and Claire Hogle, December 24, 1925 in Chicago, IL.
He graduated approximately six months early from Mt. Carmel High School in Chicago in 1943 and was immediately drafted to serve in the U.S. Army during WWII. He served in the New Guinea Campaign and the Liberation of the Philippines. During his time of service, he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and was honorably discharged in 1946.
After the war, he attended Northern Illinois University where he met his life-long companion, Jo Henderson. They married January 21, 1949, and eventually had five children. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to New Orleans where he finished his Business degree at Tulane University.
They returned to the Chicago area to begin their family and eventually went into business for themselves. These businesses included a car wash, gas station, and a car, truck, and trailer rental agency.
In 1981, he and his family moved to Odessa where he finished his time here on earth before being called home to our Father in Heaven.
At one time, he served as Governor of the Loyal Order of the Moose, and was very active with the VFW and the American Legion.
He worked as a sales representative for Curtis Industries from 1981 until he retired in 2001. After his retirement, he worked part-time for K B Safe & Lock and later coordinated and supervised Saturday night Bingo for the American Legion at the VFW Bingo hall.
He was known for his strong dedication to family and friends. He was a loving, kind-hearted, and extremely supportive man. He always put others before himself and was a stranger to no one.
He is preceded in death by his parents George M. Price, Sr. and Claire R. Price of Grand Rapids, MI; sister Jean Marie Price of Grand Rapids, MI; loving wife, Jo H. Price of Odessa, and daughter, Linda J. Owen of Amarillo.
He is survived by his sons, George M. Price, III of Cicero, IL; Charles L. Price of Austin; John J. Price of Livingston; and daughter, Anne L. Simmons of Odessa; brothers James Price of San Antonio, and Fredrick G. “Jerry” Price of New Orleans, LA. He has nine grandsons and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 27th at Odessa Funeral Home with Father Mark Miller of St. Joseph’s and St. Anthony’s Catholic Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that all memorials be made to Home Hospice of Odessa.

James Adam Miller
Odessa - James Adam Miller, of Odessa, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2006.
He was born September 25, 1947 to J.B. and Bertha Miller in Odessa, Texas, the youngest of seven children, and was known as Buddy to his family. He attended Odessa High School. James worked for Shorty Hall Rig Company for many years and was currently working for Midessa Transportation. James enjoyed camping and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother George Rowland Miller of Odessa and sister Jean Wilkins of Oklahoma.
James is survived by wife Linda Autry Miller of Odessa; daughters Shelly Stribling and her husband Stacy and their children Dusti, Alyssa and Noble of Midland, TX; Christy Dickman and her husband Casey and their children Travis, Jacob, Skyler and Kayla, of Odessa, TX; sisters Flora Faye “Sis” Thomas of Gainesville, GA; Margaret “Beth” Sams of Ashdown, AR; Sally Gardner and her husband Jack of Odessa, TX; Johnnie B Watson and her husband Jimmy of Weatherford, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 18, 2006 with Jimmy Braswell officiating. Condolences may be sent to Shelly Stribling at 3611 Wedgwood St, Midland, TX 79707.

Lawrence R. (Red) Nutt
Kermit - Lawrence R. (Red) Nutt passed away on February 24, 2006 at the age of 89. He was born in Hedley, Texas on March 4, 1916.
Red came to Kermit as a 16 year old. He worked on ranches, at service stations, and sold cars until he joined the Navy for World War 11. After the war, he came back to Kermit and eventually started Kermit Motor Company in 1946. He was a Ford/Mercury dealer for 50 years. He also ran L.N. Construction, an oil field construction firm, for 25 years. He was a driven, hardworking, honest businessman.
He was preceded in death by a wife Stella Nutt, parents Luther and Edna Nutt, two brothers, Morris Nutt and Eldridge Nutt, and a sister Foydell Nutt.
He is survived by wife Loneta Nutt of Kermit, a daughter, Foydell Mitchell and husband Mickey of Monahans, a son, Layne Nutt and wife Shannon of Kermit, brothers Leon Nutt of Kermit, J.D. Nutt of Texarkana, sisters JoAnn Tinsley of Texarkana, and Verlene Hailey of Waco, Texas and five grandchildren, Whitney, Kaitlin, and Logan Mitchell of Monahans, and Lauren and Lindsay Nutt of Kermit.
Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Kermit 2:00 P.M. Sunday February 26, 2006, with Reverend Dudley Mullins presiding. Burial will follow at the Kermit cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Martinez-Smith & Cooper Funeral Chapel of Kermit.
Pallbearers are Duff Michel, Dan Michel, Mike Emmerson, Todd Ethridge, Kelley Creager, and Jodie Barker. Honorary pallbearers are Slim Loper, Stanley Mulsow, Bill White, and E. A. Fielding.

Norman S. Price
Odessa - Norman passed away Thursday February 23, 2006 in Arlington Texas after a brief illness. Norman was born June 23, 1926 in Plainview, TX to Eula Mae Reaves Price and James Stephen “Hawley” Price. He graduated from Odessa High in 1943. On June 16, 1949, Norman went to work for the Odessa Fire Department and was promoted to Battalion Chief on November 1, 1983. He held that position until he retired July 28, 1989 with 40 years of service. Norman was the first fireman to retire with 40 years of service. He was married to the late Nan Price who passed away in 1987. On February 14, 1989 he married June Morrison.
Norman is survived by his wife, June Price of Ruidoso, New Mexico; two daughters Karen Sue Lummus and Nancy Gilbert both of Alvarado, Texas; and son Randy Morrison of Greenville, Texas; two brothers Bruce Price of Fruita, Colorado and Wilfred Price of Barstow, California; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday in the Frank Wilson Chapel with Rev. Clydel Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors

Agustina Molina Vejil
Big Spring - Agustina Molina Vejil, 74, of Odessa, formerly of Big Spring died Thursday, February 23, 2006, at Hospice House of Odessa. Vigil Services will be at 7:00 PM Sunday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father James Plagens officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park.
She was born May 28, 1931, in Howard County to Jesus and Nicolasa Molina. She attended school in Knott, and received her GED diploma from Howard College. She lived most of her life in Big Spring before moving to Odessa. She was employed at Big Spring Hardware and McCroy’s. She also worked at Montgomery Wards in Big Spring and then transferred to the Odessa Store where she retired in 1996. She married Henry Vejil on October 26, 1996, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Odessa. She was a member of both Sacred Heart Catholic Church and St. Thomas Catholic Church in Big Spring where she taught Catechism for many years. She was also a member of the St. Thomas Altar Society where she held all office duties. She was also a member of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women where she served as president. She was also a member of the Children of Mary Society of Sacred Heart in Big Spring. She also taught Catechism at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Odessa. She was also a member of the Catholic Women’s Organization as well as a Lay Minister, Eucharistic Minister and Reader. She was also a member of the Ladies Lions Club in Odessa. She enjoyed the Big Spring Steers football and baseball. She also loved her soap operas in both English and Spanish.
She is survived by her husband: Henry Vejil of Odessa; 3 sisters: Isabel Escovedo, Ramona Molina and Petra Leos, all of Big Spring; 5 brothers: Frank Molina and his wife Donna of Ocala, Florida, Emilio Molina of Big Spring, Felipe Molina and his wife Maria Elena of Corpus Christi, Valentin Molina and his wife Maria of Holland, Michigan, and Amado Molina and his wife Claudette of San Angelo; 1 sister-in-law: Lupe V. Molina of Big Spring; 5 step-daughters: Lydia Vanderpool, Ida Herrera, Dodie Garza, Benjie Knowles, and Sandy Vejil; 2 step-sons: Frank Vejil and Henry Vejil, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Luisa Molina and Marciala Macias; and 2 brothers: Tereso Molina and Guadalupe Molina, Sr.
Pallbearers will be Israel Martinez, L. T. Hinojos, Amado Molina, Jr., Carlos Molina, Tony Molina, Henry Molina, Benito Molina, and Kevin Porras.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Emilio Molina, Jr., John Escovedo, Rolando Montana, Rosendo Montana, Jr., Joseph Molina, Sr., and Joseph Molina.

Cecil “Zhi Kou” K. Wang
Odessa - Cecil “Zhi Kou” K. Wang, 90, passed away February 24th, 2006, at his residence in Odessa, Texas.
Cecil was born March 3rd, 1915 in Fujiang, China. He graduated Jr. High School in Fujiang, China in 1933 and High School in 1937 and from 1938 through 1941 he educated himself with premedical training in the Philippines. He graduated from St. John’s Medical in 1943. From 1943 through 1948 he practiced at Jiang Su Hospital Partnership in Shanghai, China, and from 1948 through 1971 he worked in Shanghai, China at the Shanghai Sanitarium Hospital as a surgeon and from 1971 to 1979 he worked in Shanghai Chemical Industry Bureau’s Hospital as a director. In August of 1943 he married Lucy Tsai, in Szechuan, China and she predeceased him on February 16th, 2002.
Mr. Wang is survived by his daughters, Lin H. Wang of Odessa, Texas; Hong-Qi Wang and Hong Ying Wang both of Shanghai, China; a son, Hong-Ren Wang of Victoria, Canada; grandchildren, Stephen Hong Wang, Lei Jiang, Jing Jiang, Wei-Peng Li and Sheng (Roy) Wang and great-grandchildren Philip and Hector.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on March 1st, 2006 in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Committal service will follow immediately at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Clara Griffis
Pecos - Clara Griffis, 82, homemaker, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at Medical Center Hospital.
Service will at 10 a.m. Monday at the 6th and Boise D’arc Church of Christ. Arrangements are by the Pecos Funeral Home.
Survivors Husband, John Griffis of Pecos; sons, Johnny and Jerry Griffis, both of Pecos; daughters, Sharon Coody and Beverly Hathorn, both of Pecos; and sister, Ruth Ince of Pecos.

Tommy J. McCoy
Seminole - Tommy J. McCoy, 75, of Seminole, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, in Seminole.
Services were Saturday, Dec. 31 at South Seminole Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Bush officiating. Arrangements are by the Ratliff Funeral Home.
He was born in Abilene.
Survivors Sons, Tommy McCoy, Jr of Texas City and Jeff McCoy of Merk Market, Ala., and Mark McCoy of League City; daughter, Carmen Avant of Texas City; brothers, Marion “Hack” McCoy fo New Braunfels, Jerry McCoy of Euless, and Robert McCoy of Streetman; sister, Ethel Parks of Odessa; ten grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Eleanor Lozano Rivera
Odessa - Eleanor Lozano Rivera, 71, restraunt owner, died Thursday December 29,2005, at her residence.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Odessa Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Woodruff officiating. Burial will follow at Kermit cemetery. Services are by Odessa Funeral Home.
She was born in Balmorhea. She was Christian Catholic.
Survivors Sons, Manny L. Rivera Jr. of Odessa, Ruben L. Rivera Sr. of Omaha, Eddie L. Rivera Sr. and Lee Roy L. Rivera, both of Odessa; daughters, Mary Ellen Dodd of Wink; brother: Gregorio “George” Lozano of Balmorhea; sisters, Cecilia Millan of Pecos, and Adela Martinez of Balmorhea; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Eloy M. Teague
Alpine - Eloy M. Teague, 54, died Thursday, December 29, 2005 at an Alpine area hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2at the Assembly of God Church with Pastor Greg MacPherson officiating. Arrangements are by the Geeslin Funeral Home.
He was born in Alpine.
Survivors Wife, Carol Teague of Alpine; sons, Matthew Teague and his wife, Shauna, of Turlock, Calif., Eloy Teague of San Angelo and Michael Teague of Alpine; brother, Oscar Teague of Turlock, Calif; sisters, Elodia Gonzales and Betty Embury, both of Turlock, Calif.

Sharon Marie Wright
Odessa - Sharon Marie Wright, 57, waitress, died Dec. 22, 2005, at Hospice House.
She was born in Cincinnatii, Ohio.
Memorial services were at an earlier date. Arrangements are by Martinez-Smith Funeral Chapels and Crematory.
Survivors Companion, Larry Northrip of Odessa; sons, Gerald Henderson of Odessa, and Johnaton Henderson of Lawton, Okla.; sister, Carol Collins of Odessa;and six grandchildren.
