Monahans - Miguel Oyerbides, 80, of Monahans, a former diesel mechanic, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, at Hospice House in Odessa.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Third and Dwight Church of Christ with the Rev. Greg Holly officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements are by Harkey Family Funeral Services.
He was born in Shafter.
Survivors Wife, Eduviges Oyerbides of Monahans; sons, Fred Oyerbides and Jorge Oyerbides, both of Monahans, Michael Oyerbides of Odessa and Fidel Oyerbides of Lubbock; daughters, Patsy Acosta and Rachel Oyerbides, both of Monahans, Rosa Mendez and Olivia Hernandez, both of Crane, Juanita Acosta and Eloiza Corbell, both of Odessa, Biatris Whitaker of Mansfield and Mary Mishler of Euless; brother, Fidel Oyerbides of Lubbock; sister, Cenaida Velencia of Monahans; 20 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Odessa - Robbie Geraldine Roberds, 87, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, at her residence.
No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Waldron, Ark.
Survivors Daughters, Leanna Hernandez of Odessa and Pat Gammans of Big Spring; and son, Gary Hooser of Seattle, Wash.

Henry Sanchez
Monahans - Henry Sanchez, 65, of Monahans, a salesman, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, at Hospice House of Odessa.
Rosary will be said at
8 p.m. today at St. John Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements are by Harkey Family Funeral Services.
He was born in Monahans.
Survivors Son, Hank Sanchez of Monahans; daughters, Elma Dominguez of Monahans and Erica Sanchez of Manor; brothers, Sam Sanchez, Manuel Sanchez and Edward Sanchez, all of Monahans, and Gilbert Sanchez of Crane; sisters, Mary Garcia and Josie Molina, both of Monahans, and Olivia Romero of Mesquite; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

James Davis Sikes
Orlando, Fla. - James Davis Sikes, 74, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006.
Services will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at the Lake Ivanhoe Chapel of the Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home.
He was born in Midland.

Marfa - Anne Therese Smerke, 87, of Marfa, a former nurse, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, in a nursing home in Odessa.
Mass was celebrated at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial followed at the Marfa cemetery. Arrangements were by Geeslin Funeral Home.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Survivors Brother, Anton Smerke of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota.

Perdom Elbert Todd
Odessa - Perdom Elbert Todd, 76, of Odessa, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, at his residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
He was born in Ballinger.
Survivors Wife, Jo Todd of Odessa; sons, Clifton E. Todd of Austin, Vernon R. Todd of Denton and Terry Wayne Todd of Roswell, N.M.; daughters, Sharon Todd Smith of Odessa and Sue Clark of Joshua; sister, Carolyn Wimberly of Kilgore; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Amber Linn Menefee
Andrews - Amber Linn Menefee, 21, of Andrews, a student, died on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, in Lubbock from an automobile accident.
Services are pending with McNett Funeral Home.

Hobbs, N.M. - David C. Asbill, 73, of Hobbs, N.M., died Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, at Lea Regional Medical Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Vista Pointe Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Baxley officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

Odessa - Viola Magdalene ‘Biddy’ Browning, 92, of Odessa, a retired restaurant manager, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, at Hospice House.
Services were held Jan. 20 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial was held at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Cottle County.

Jal, N.M. - Wanda “Dewie” Everhart, 82, of Jal, N.M., a retired welder, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006, at his residence.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Jal cemetery with the Rev. Michael May officiating. Arrangements are by Martinez-Smith Funeral Chapels & Crematory of Kermit.
He was born in Quitaque and was a Baptist. He was an Army veteran.
Survivors Sons, James Everhart and Rick Everhart, both of Odessa; daughters, Linda O’Rear and Tammie Boehm, both of Jal; six Grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
