Perdom E. Todd
Odessa - Perdom Elbert Todd, 76, passed away February 8th, 2006 at his residence in Odessa, Texas.
Perdom was born March 10th, 1929 to Kirby Elbert Todd and Vena Avent Todd in Ballinger, Texas. He was reared and educated in McCamey, Texas and married
Jo Bolin July 8th, 1955 in Lovington, New Mexico. Mr. Todd was retired from El Paso Products-Rexene.
Mr. Todd is survived by his wife Jo Todd, of Odessa; three sons, Clifton E. Todd of Austin, Texas; Vernon R. Todd of Denton, Texas; Terry Wayne Todd, of Roswell, New Mexico; two daughters; Sharon Todd Smith of Odessa, Texas and Sue Clark of Joshua, Texas; a sister, Carolyn Wimberly of Kilgore, Texas, 7 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
The visitation for Mr. Todd will start on Saturday, February 11th, 2006 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and services celebrating his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 13th, 2006 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Braswell officiating.
Memorials may be directed to the West Texas Cancer Center in Odessa, Texas.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
Walter R. Rowell
Odessa - Walter R. Rowell, 87, passed away Wednesday, February 8th, 2006 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas.
Walter was born October 14th, 1918 in Newbury Port, Massachusetts to Herbert S. Rowell, and Dorothy E. Beane Rowell. He served our country in the United States Army, and was a Veteran of World War II. Walter was a retired accountant from El Paso Products, an avid bowler and a lifetime member of the Downtown Lions Club.
Mr. Rowell was predeceased by his sister; Anna Minchin of Newbury Port, Massachusetts; his son, James W. Rowell of Austin, Texas and his wife, Alice R. Rowell of Odessa, Texas.
Walter is survived by his brother-in-law; Irvin Minchin of North Hampton, New Hampshire.
Memorials may be directed to St. Johns Episcopal Church in Odessa, Texas.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with Dana Wilson officiating. Interment with full military honors presented by the Veteran of Foreign Wars #4372, will follow immediately at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
James E. Lowry
Bardwell - James E. Lowry, age 86 of Bardwell died Wednesday evening, February 8, 2006 at his home. He was born on November 23, 1919 in Waxahachie to J.B. and Irene (Woodall) Lowry. He graduated from Waxahachie High School and married
Jimmie Ruth Dick in July, 1967. James retired from El Paso Natural Gas and Products in 1985 after 37 years, traveling through Algeria, Sahara Desert, Paris, France, The United States and Canada. James was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Bardwell and a Past Patron in the Order of the Eastern Star the First United Methodist Church in Bardwell.
He is survived by his wife Jimmie; five children, Laquitta Higgins of Houston, Texas, Jimmy Earl Lowry and his wife Kathy of Crosby, Texas, Linda Begly and her husband Kevin of Katy, Texas, J. Bryan Lowry and his wife Yvette of Dickinson, Texas, and Michael Keith Lowry of Bardwell, Texas; two sisters, Jodie Early and Bonnie Lowry; brother, J.B. Lowry, Jr. and his wife Brucene, all of Bardwell; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a son, J. Ryan Lowry; grandson, Jared Ryan Lowry; two brothers and one sister.
Services are scheduled for 10 A.M., Saturday, February 11, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church in Bardwell with Dr. Larry Jinks officiating. Interment will follow in the Elm Branch cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis.

Frances Lucille McCollum Allbright
ANDREWS - Funeral Services for Frances Lucille McCollum Allbright, 80, of Andrews will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Andrews with Rev. Bryan Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Andrews Old cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
Frances passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at Home Hospice House in Odessa.
Frances was born June 15, 1925 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Foris Theodore McCollum and Lucille Managan McCollum. She graduated from Lamesa High School in 1942 and received her Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Baylor University in 1946. She then returned to Lamesa, working for Jenkins and Wood Cotton Buyers. She married
Wilburn Taylor “Joe” Allbright on June 15, 1948 in Lamesa. In January 1949, they moved to Andrews to farm and ranch. Soon after moving to Andrews, they moved their letters to the First Baptist Church.
In addition to being a Sunday School teacher for many years, Frances served on the Day Care Committee for the First Baptist Church, was President of the Andrews Study Club, a charter member of the Andrews Branch of the American Association of University Women; served two terms on the Andrews School Lay Advisory Council, was President of the American Cancer Society, served on the United Fund board, was a charter member, President and presented with Lifetime membership in the Women’s Division of the Andrews Chamber of Commerce. She was assistant director of the West Texas-New Mexico Health Education Resource Program, and a Lay Advisor to Continental Telephone Company.
Frances also served as a Director of the Baylor University Ex-Students Association, and was Secretary-treasurer of the Board of Directors of Andrews Senior Citizens Center, Inc. Frances served as President of the Andrews Country Club and was actively involved with the Andrews Friends of the Library and Ocotillo Garden Club. Frances also was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and Phi Gamma Nu fraternities. Having been a recipient of the “Gift of Life” by receiving a Liver Transplant over 15 years ago from a loving donor, Frances was ever so grateful by encouraging others to become organ donors as well as consoling and encouraging numerous others with liver disease to not give up and pursue the option of Liver Transplant Surgery.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents Foris Theodore McCollum and Lucille Managan McCollum and her brother, Foris Theodore McCollum II of Fort Sumner New Mexico.
She is survived by her husband Wilburn Taylor “Joe” Allbright of Andrews; 4 sons: Joe McCollum Allbright and wife Vicki of Odessa; William Taylor Allbright and wife Linda of Andrews; James Francis Allbright and wife Elaine of San Angelo; John Managan Allbright and wife Judy of Andrews; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Home Hospice of Andrews and Odessa Parks Methodist Retirement Village of Odessa.
Pallbearers will be Leland Hamilton Kenneth Munsell; O.B. Raburn; John R. Parish; Gordon Cox; Forest C. Scott; Dick Garrison; Dr. Z.W. Hutchinson and Paul New.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Home Hospice personnel and The Friends of the Library in Andrews.
