James Ferguson
Midland - James Ferguson, 62, of Midland, died on Monday, April 3, 2006, in the Hospice Inpatient Unit at Midland Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2006 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland with Phil Fouche, officiating. Interment will be at Portales cemetery in Portales, New Mexico at 10:00 a.m. (mountain time) on Friday, April 7, 2006.
James was born on February 7, 1944, in Bay City, Michigan, to John and Gladys Ferguson. He married
Sharon McAlister on August 15, 1964 in Portales, New Mexico.
James worked for El Paso Natural Gas for 37 years in various locations, El Paso, Carlsbad, Arizona, Jal and Roswell, New Mexico. He loved music, fishing and hunting, but the real loves of his life were his family, especially his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon of Midland; one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Roxanne Ferguson of Chandler, Arizona; one daughter and son-in-law, Shawna and Cody Doran of Wink, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Rhonda Ferguson of Odessa; five grandchildren; Matthew, Sarah and Nathaniel of Chandler, Arizona, and Tawny and Heston of Wink.
James was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, David Ferguson; a sister, Sue Ferguson; a grandchild, Logan Ferguson; and a nephew, Randel Ferguson.

Bill M. Grist
Lubbock - Services for Bill M. Grist, 59, of Lubbock will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at St. John’s United Methodist Church under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
Bill was born October 5, 1946 in Canadian, TX. He graduated from Canadian High School in 1965, BS from Texas Tech in 1970 and BS in Physical Therapy from University of Alabama in 1974. He owned and operated Rehabilitation Services of Lubbock for more than 30 years. After retiring from private practice, Bill continued to provide physical therapy services to the Lubbock community through contracts with several home health agencies.
Bill was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church for more than 40 years and served his church faithfully in various positions including trustee. Bill was a great supporter of Texas Tech and was an active member of the Texas Tech Alumni and the Phi Gamma Delta Alumni.
Bill served on the Board of Directors of Commercial State Bank, of Andrews, Midland and Odessa, TX. He was a dedicated member of the Masonic Lubbock Lodge #1392 where he held the position of Worshipful Master and was a 32nd degree Mason.
Bill was an active member of the Texas Physical Therapy Association and the Texas Sports Medicine Association and held various offices with both organizations throughout his professional career.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; John Walter and Charlene Grist; his grandparents, H. C. and Lillian Stovall and one nephew, John Mac Grist.
Survivors include; his brother, John Grist and his wife Verna of Andrews, TX; Nephews, Joe Robert Grist and wife, Brenda of Andrews, TX and Jack Grist of Midland, TX and his great-nephews, Joe, Brandon and Matthew of Andrews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association, the Diabetic Association, or their favorite charity.
Jose Luis Nieto
Odessa - Jose Luis Nieto, age 50, longtime resident of Odessa, Texas, went to be with his Lord Friday, March 31, 2006, at Medical Center Hospital. Jose entered this life June 21, 1955 in Chuchillo, Parado, Mexico, the son of the late Apolinar and Natividad (Rivera) Nieto. He married
Maria V. Chavez in January of 1977. Jose was a welder. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed the outdoors. He was an active man who jogged and loved to dance. Jose loved to spend time with his family, especially his beloved grandson, Meñito.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Maria Victoria (Chavez) Nieto, One Son, Jose Nieto, Jr. of Odessa, Texas; three daughters: Marilu Melendez, Gladys Olivas, and Edith Nieto of Odessa, Texas; three brothers: Thomas Nieto of Odessa; Erasmo Nieto of Juarez, Mexico, and Apolinar Nieto of Freeport, TX; three sisters: Teresa Gabaldon of Freeport, TX, Petra Rivera of Corona, CA, and Eva Cabral of San Jacinto, CA; and one grandchild: Manuel Melendez, Jr. of Odessa.
Rosary will be said at 7:00 pm Monday, April 3, 2006 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:00 am Tuesday, April 4, 2006. Interment will be at Rosehill cemetery in Odessa. Pallbearers will be Jose Nieto, Jr., Tomas Nieto, Erasmo Nieto, Apolinar Nieto, Manuel Melendez, and Manuel Olivas.

Linda Kay Allen-Rolls
Hobbs, N.M. - Linda Kay Allen-Rolls, 41, of Midland, formerly of Hobbs, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2006, at Midland Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 5, 1964 in Hobbs, N.M.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of Hope Funeral Home in Hobbs. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at the chapel with the Pastor Aaron Denson officiating. Intermittent will follow at Memory Gardens.
Linda Kay was a 1982 graduate of Hobbs High School. She was a great “Soccer Mom.” One of her favorite hobbies was crocheting afghans. Linda Kay had been employed with Key Energy. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church. She moved to Midland, TX in 2005. She enjoyed being with family and friends.
Linda Kay is survived by her father and step-mother, Herbie and Lou Beth Allen of Hobbs, NM; two sons, Joshua Neal Allen and Eric Glen Rolls, both of Odessa; brother, Marshall Allen and wife, Cheryl of Hobbs, NM; sister, Heather Fish and husband, Lyndel of Yukon, Oklahoma; grandparents, L.S. and May Stubblefield of Hobbs, NM; ex-husband, Martin Rolls; nephew, Jonathan Allen of Hobbs, NM; two nieces, Shelby and Maggie Allen of Hobbs, NM and numerous aunts and uncles.

Harold Gene Hibler
Odessa - Harold Gene Hibler, (Hib) of Gardendale, Texas 68 years young, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 31, 2006. He was born to Amzy and Doris Hibler in Brown County on December 24, 1937. Harold is survived by his wife, Susan Hibler, the love of his life and best friend. His pride and joy, his children, Tammie Duggan of Tyler, Tx. Carol Womack of Westland, Mich., Shirlee Montes of Longview, Tx., Richard and his wife Daisy Castor of Odessa, Frank Dominguez of Gardendale. Hibler is also survived by sister, Becky Butcher of Flint, Tx., her two sons, Tommy and Harold Butcher, sister; Kathran Martin and her two sons Mark and Steven of Austin, Tx. Brother, C.M. (Buddy) Davis of Odessa, uncles Jim and Lavotta Bradley of Midland, Jack and Irene Bradley of Las Vegas Nev., and Gene Bradley, aunt Linda and D.B. Jones of Ballinger, Tx. Hibler is also survived by his beloved pet “Westie Dog.”
Harold was the owner and operator of Permian Office Products in Odessa, he had many friends that he considered family and loved very much. A Memorial Celebration will be held at 7:00 pm tonight at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services are set for 10:00 am Wednesday April 6, 2006 at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Don Caywood officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery. Odessa - Don Hoskins, age 73, entered into rest on March 30, 2006 in San Antonio, TX. He was born June 15, 1932 in Lawton, OK and was raised in Wink, TX to Lois (Stringer) and Charles Preston Hoskins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie K. Hoskins. He is survived by his children, Van Hoskins, Stacy Hoskins, his wife Mitzi, Judy Van Cleave, Hayes Van Cleave, Brad Van Cleave, Bob Van Cleave; grandchildren, Taylor Hoskins, Stephanie Rodgers, Chris Rodgers, Brittany Rodgers and numerous extended family members. Jewelle Elsie Sutphen
ODESSA - Jewelle Elsie Sutphen, 87, of Odessa, died Saturday, April 1, 2006, at Hospice House.
Services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Frank Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jimmie Braswell officiating. Arrangements are by Frank Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Howard County.
SURVIVORS Daughters, Janis Chowning and Sandra Brock, both of Odessa and Brenda Jonas of Grand Prairie; son, Aubrey Sutphen of Odessa; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Donald Ray Trimble
Odessa - Donald Ray Trimble, 57, passed on from this life on April 3rd, 2006 after a 10 month illness.
He was born in Hereford, Texas on November 2nd, 1948, to Clifford Compton Trimble and Ruby Lavaughn Hatfield, both who have preceded him in death as well as two brothers and one sister, Clifford Trimble, Tommy Trimble and JoNell Wampler. He was married
to Carol Lewis on May 5th, 1978.
He is survived by his wife; Carol and best buddy Tanner, as well as 3 brothers and 3 sisters; Jimmy and Bonnie Trimble of Stanton, Texas; Bob and Patsy Trimble of Odessa, Texas; Robert and Kathy Hatfield of Odessa, Texas; Mrs. Wayne Fair of Bay City, Texas; Linda and Ron Horst of Bath, Pennsylvania Judy and John Calvert of Saylorsburg Pennsylvania and numerous nieces and nephews.
Don served in the United States Army from September 1967 through February 1972, reaching the rank of Specialist Five. He served time in Viet Nam, Germany and Thailand.
He was employed by U-Tex Corporation for the last 27 years beginning as machinist moving onto lead hand, inspector, and then head of quality control. He was well respected by his fellow employees and will be missed at the shop. His fellow workers have been special friends during this time.
Don was an avid hunter and fisherman his entire life. He enjoyed teaching and advising young people in the proper conduct of these activities and now has many hunting and fishing buddies that will miss his tutoring, but will remember his training.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Hospice House in Odessa (903 N. Sam Houston, 79761).
Mr. Trimble will be in-state at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home all day Tuesday, April 4th, 2006.
Graveside Services with Military Honors presented by the VFW Post #4372 will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5th, 2006 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A church service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at First Christian Church, 601 N. Lee in Odessa, Texas.

Rafael V. Rodriguez
Odessa - Rafael V. Rodriguez, an honorable son, brother, husband, father and friend, passed away at age 69 early Sunday morning, April 2, 2006 in his home in Odessa. Rafael was born in Mexico on October 7, 1936 to his late father, Juan Manuel Rodriguez and now 92 year old mother, Julia Valenzuela Rodriguez.
He married
his wife, Raymunda Gomez in Ojinaga, Mexico on April 26, 1958; on that date this year, they were to have completed their 48th year of marriage together. He resided in Odessa for 47 years and worked as a pipeline construction worker to support his family. He was deeply and passionately devoted to his family and they will always remember him for his strong words of wisdom and loving instruction.
Those to have survived him in his grateful family include his mother, Julia Valenzuela Rodriguez of El Paso, his wife, Raymunda Gomez, his four children and their families; son, George and Cecilia Rodriguez, son, Johnny Rodriguez, son, Rafael and Marta Rodriguez and daughter, Alma and Scott Clements all of Odessa. He is also survived by his brothers, Salvador Rodriguez of Odessa, Fernando Rodriguez of El Paso, Rodrigo Rodriguez of Odessa, Armando Rodriguez of El Paso and Simón Rodriguez of El Paso; as well as his sisters Elida Rodriguez, Lupe Rodriguez, Margarita Villareal and Julia Mendoza, all of El Paso. He will be lovingly remembered by his twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rosary will be said at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. His Christian Burial Mass will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rosehill cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Lloyd Warren
Odessa - Lloyd Warren, 68, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at his residence. He was born March 7, 1938 at the family home in Clyde, TX.
Lloyd lived in Odessa for over 40 years. He worked for Gibson’s Discount Store before going into business for himself as owner and operator of Warren Rebuilders. He was a mechanic and knew all about automobiles. He was loved by many throughout the community and will be forever missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew & Mary Warren, brothers, William L. Warren, Andrew R. Warren, Jr., Travis Warren and W. Dawson Warren.
He is survived by his children, Gary L. Warren and wife Carrie, Vickie Allmand and husband Jimmy, Mandy Simons and husband Troy and Cynthia and partner Natalie Knudsen, his fiance Katherine Sparks, (5) grandchilden, Bailey Ann and Mya Warren, Mark & Jeremy Simons and Andrew Joiner.
There will be a visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2006 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Lee Frank Hughes
Odessa - After a lengthy illness, Frank Hughes, 81, of Odessa went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 9, 2006 at the Hospice House in Odessa. Frank was born August 7, 1924 in Gulbusk, TX., near Coleman, to the late Elmer Lee and Annie Hughes.
He served in the army infantry as a rifleman during World War II in the rainbow division. While proudly serving his country he was wounded in action in Germany in March of 1945. Following his tour of duty he returned to Texas where he attended Texas Tech University. He later went to Drawns Business School and was employed with Abilene Printing Company. While opening a store in Midland he met Annie Lee Everett who was to become his life long partner. Frank was a man of many talents and various interests. He dallied in many different fields and was a successful entrepreneur. He owned a bakery, transmission shop, and an auto air conditioning repair service in Odessa. He was a construction superintendent in South Padre Island, a salesman in Miami, Florida, a maintenance supervisor at UTPB, and even managed a hotel in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
He had a great sense of humor and was a storyteller often going into details that lasted several hours. He is greatly loved and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Annie Lee Hughes, sisters, Mellie Gober of Midland and Ophelia Watson of Austin, sons, Gary Ray Hughes and Ronald Lee Hughes & his wife Rexana of Odessa, eight grandchildren, Heather Uhlhorn, Shannon Blau, Bess Aine Kelley, Barbara, Adrian Blue, Candice, John and Allison Hughes, three great-grandchildren, Ashley Uhlhorn, Kinslea Blau, and Bryson Kelley, and several nieces and nephews.

Billy Jack Price
Midland - Billy Jack Price was born December 31, 1927 in Cisco, Texas to Paul Price, Sr. and Thelma Leona Notgrass Price. He served his country in the U.S. Army in the Philippines from 1946 until 1947. On July 12, 1947 he and Dorothy Faye Weatherby were married
in Cisco, Texas. They had three sons, Glenn Rodney Price, Gregory Allen Price, and Jack Price. Bill obtained an Associates degree in Business from Cisco Junior College and was employed with Mobil Oil Company for 37 years, retiring in 1988. He had been a resident of Midland since 1974, moving there from Kermit, Texas. His two greatest loves and interests were his church and his family.
He attended First United Pentecostal Church of Odessa.
Bill departed this life Tuesday, April 11, 2006 to be at home with Jesus. He will be sorely missed by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Norma Lee Culpepper, and son, Glenn Rodney Price.
Bill is survived by his wife, Dorothy Price of Midland, TX; two sons, Greg Price and his wife, Phyllis, of Greenwood, TX; and Jack Price and his wife, Judy, of Odessa, TX; grandchildren, Velvet Price Holman and her husband, Larry, of Hallsville, TX; Crystal Price Massey and her husband, William, of Belzoni, MS; Tara Price of College Station, TX; Rhett Price of Greenwood, TX; great-grandchildren, Brendyn, Alston, and Jackson Massey, all of Belzoni, MS; and Amaris Holman of Hallsville, TX; three brothers, Paul Price, Jr. and his wife, Jean, of Midland, TX; Don Price and his wife, Liddy, of Arlington, TX; Ronny Price and his wife, Paula, of Midland, TX; several nieces and nephews.
