Crane - Ann Watson, 69, of Crane, a retired food service director, died Sunday, April 2, 2006, at Crane Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Crane County cemetery with Dennis Edwards officiating. Arrangements are by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
She was born in San Antonio.
Survivors Son, Walter Watson of Crane; daughter, Donna Edwards of Odessa; sister, May McWhorter of Sun City, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Walter Dale (Buddy) Wilson
Crane - The Rev. Walter Dale “Buddy” Wilson, 69, of McCamey, died Monday, April 3, 2006, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harvey Neatherlin officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven cemetery. Arrangements are by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
He was born in Cove, Ark.

Gloria Roden Giller
Glen Rose - Gloria Roden Giller, age 80, of Chapel Hill, NC, died at home Saturday, April 15, 2006 of cancer. Services will be at Chalk Mountain cemetery, Glen Rose, TX.
Born September 1, 1925, in San Antonio, TX, Gloria enrolled in Trinity University and earned the Freshman Scholarship Prize for the highest grade point average. A transferee to the University of Texas-Austin, she belonged to Orange Jackets, Mortar Board, the Campus League of Women Voters and a social sorority.
After her marriage in 1945 to Jacob Sylvester Roden, M.D., Gloria and Jake lived in Iowa City, Iowa for Jake’s internship where son Randall was born and then in Charlottesville, VA where daughter Danath was born during Jake’s residency. Jake and Gloria returned to their native Texas and Jake began his private practice in Midland, TX where son Leighton and daughter Leslie were born. Gloria served as president of the Doctors Wives Club and president of the League of Women Voters.
In 1956 Jake was recruited by the University of Missouri to be the first Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the new medical school. Gloria enrolled in the University of Missouri-Columbia where she completed a bachelor’s degree cum laude in European History in 1959. When Jake died in 1960, Gloria returned to college and completed her master’s degree in History at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She taught European History at Stephens College in Columbia from 1962 to 1970 and was actively involved in Democratic Party politics in Columbia. No one who met her was ever surprised to discover that the first course Gloria developed for Stephens College was “Revolutions In The Modern World.”
In 1975, Gloria began a new career as Information Director for Planned Parenthood in Odessa, TX and was promoted to their Phoenix, AZ office as Director of Education in 1979. In 1982, she married
Thomas Watkin Giller who died in 1988. She remained active with the Phoenix Art Museum, the Heard Museum, the Democratic Party and the Arizona Historical Society. In 1997, Gloria moved to Chapel Hill, NC.
Gloria was intellectual and honest, with a keen sense of personal style. Her family adored her beauty and courage. Survivors include four children; a sister, Mary Bassett Nierth; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Planned Parenthood or The Nature Conservancy.
Robert D. Snoddy
Odessa - Robert D. Snoddy, 89, left our earth Tuesday morning, April 18, 2006 to join his wife of 64 years, Mary Ruth, to be together again for all eternity.
Born in Piedmont, West Virginia to Mr. & Mrs. William Snoddy. They moved to Uniontown, Pennsylvania, where Bob graduated high school an excellent athlete. He and several of his friends were offered athletic scholarships to Findlay College in Findlay, Ohio, the first in each of their families to receive college degrees. Bob played basketball and baseball for Findlay College, and was inducted into the Findlay College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000. His first week at Findlay College, Bob met Mary Ruth and they were together until 2004 when Mary Ruth passed away, Bob and Mary Ruth were married
shortly after college graduation, 1942. Bob had just signed a professional baseball contract with the New York Yankees and “Finally had enough money for the marriage license.”
Bob played Professional baseball through the 1946 season, then went to work with Buckeye Ditching Machines in Findlay, Ohio. Bob, Mary Ruth and their two sons, Robert Charles and Thomas Beard, were transferred to Tulsa, OK, to help open Buckeye’s first parts distribution center to help address the booming oil and gas industry in Oklahoma.
In 1959, the Snoddy family moved to Odessa to join Plains Machinery. Through the next 25 years, Robert worked with Wells Machine; and then started Double Seal Ring Company, which he sold in the early ’80s to become a full-time swimming pool manager for the grandchildren.
Active civically, Robert belonged to Asbury Methodist Church, the Rotary and attended every baseball and basketball game within a 100-mile radius of Odessa for over 40 years.
Known and loved by an incredible number of people, Robert was blessed with many, many friends. They and his family will miss his wonderful spirit and love of life.
Robert is survived by his two sons, Robert Charles, Colleyville, TX, and Thomas Beard, Odessa, TX; four Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Thursday, April 20, 2006 from 7 to 9 pm.
Robert’s Funeral services will be at Asbury Methodist Church on Friday, April 21, 2006 at 2:00 pm. with Rev. Paul E. Bauernfeind officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Asbury Wesley Sunday School Class. Pallbearers will be Steve Barron, John Bushman, Ragon Gilbert, Doug Shelton, Mike Podzemny, Terry Richey, Rodney Hurt and Les Littlejohn.
In honor of Bob’s love of Church and Sports, the family asks that Memorials be made to Asbury Methodist Church or the Odessa College Wrangler Club.
Services have been entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home, Odessa.

Levelland - Vila Lee Boggs, 74, of Levelland, a homemaker, died Saturday, March 4, 2006, in Levelland.
Services were held Wednesday at College Avenue Baptist Church. Burial was held at Levelland City cemetery. Arrangements were by George Price Funeral Home of Levelland.
She was born in McCaulley.
