Baird - Harvey Moore, age 87, of San Angelo, Tx., passed away Saturday, May 27, 2006 at Regency House in San Angelo, Tx.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at Potosi cemetery directed by Parker Funeral Home of Baird, Tx.
Harvey was born March 9, 1919 in Brownwood, Tx to Tom W. Moore and Katie Henson Moore. He has lived the last four years in San Angelo, Tx moving there from Odessa, Texas where he lived for many years. He was a former public school teacher, and worked for Ranger Plant Construction and he and his late wife were owners of Moore Construction Co. in Odessa where he was a millwright. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He married
Mary Ella Irby in Durant, Oklahoma June 30, 1972. She preceded him in death March 4, 2004.
Survived by 1 Son, Jerry Wayne Moore and wife Genny of Brownwood, Tx.; 1 Step Son, Billy Barrow and wife Paula of San Angelo, Tx.; 1 Sister: Grace Fisher of Benbrook, Tx.; 3 Grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Earnest W. Bullock
Bonham - Funeral services for Earnest Willard Bullock, age 88 of Sherman, will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 30, 2006 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David L. Petrash will officiate. Masonic graveside rites will follow in Arledge Ridge cemetery. Mr. Bullock passed away Thursday night, May 25, 2006 at Community Specialty Hospital in Sherman.
Mr. Bullock was born April 13, 1918 in Ajax, Louisiana, son of the late Uber Sidney Bullock and Ella Loving Bullock. He was a graduate of Ajax, Louisiana High School. Mr. Bullock married
Beryl O. Wimberly, November 4, 1939 in Longview, Texas. He owned & operated EWB Well Service for many years and a City Counsel Member in Denver City . Mr. Bullock was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church in Denver City, TX. He was later a member and Deacon of Temple Baptist Church in Odessa, TX. Mr. Bullock was a 32nd Degree Mason.

Thomas Holt Eastland, Sr.
Monahans - Thomas Holt Eastland, Sr. 97, of Victoria, died Friday morning. Born December 30, 1908 in Haskell, Texas, he first moved to Monahans in 1935 and later lived in Wickett and Kermit, where he was employed by Cabot Corporation. He retired from Cabot in 1962 and had lived in Victoria since 1982.
He is survived by son Tom Eastland, Jr. and wife Lucy of Victoria; granddaughters, Tomie Sue Saldana and husband Edward of Kyle, and Carol Holladay of Victoria; grandsons, Steve Eastland of Buda, and Mark Eastland and wife Alexia of Kingland; 10 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by parents, two brothers, first wife Effie Moser Eastland and second wife Estelle Lindsey Eastland, son Barry Edward Eastland and step-daughter Lisa Hall.
He was a member of Blyth Street Church of Christ and retired from Cabot Corporation after 30 years of service.
Services will be held in Victoria under the direction of Rosewood Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at Monahans Memorial cemetery in Monahans under the direction of Harkey Family Funeral Services.
Bert Ellis
Odessa - Bert Ellis, 85, passed away May 27, 2006 at Hospice House from complications of Parkinson’s disease. Mr. Ellis was born June 1, 1920 in Cement, Oklahoma to Hardy and Minnie Ellis.
He was a World War II Veteran serving in the South Pacific for the US Army Air force.
After he was discharged from the service he came to Odessa and worked for Cities Service Oil Co. for thirty six years. After retirement he volunteered at the Odessa Christian School.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of sixty four years, Mildred Ellis of Odessa; son, Andy Ellis and wife Kris of Katy TX; daughter, Judy Riffe and husband Jimmy of Odessa. Three grandchildren, Brent and Andrea Ellis and Kelly Riffe. And five great grandchildren. One brother Winford Ellis of Winchester, Ohio.
Services will be graveside at 10:00 am Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with Dennis Dillion presiding. Visitation will start Sunday at 1:00 pm.
Memorial may be made to Odessa Christian School or Hospice House of Odessa

Joyce Lynn Howsey
Odessa - Joyce Lynn Howsey 52, passed May25th, 2006 at her residence. She is preceded in death by her Grandma Edna Hankins, Aunt Linda Emerson and numerous family members.
Survivors include her mother Nelda Frie and her father Hubert Frie. Her loving companion and soul mate, Jimmy Ivins, her daughter Linda Clanton and husband Donald Burris of Odessa, son, Jarid Clanton of Odessa, daughter Saleana and husband Woody Salge of Odessa. She is also survived by her sister Barbara and her husband Larry Maxwell of New Braunfels, brothers Bob and his wife B.J. Jones of Odessa, Mike and his wife Karen Jones of Odessa.
She will be greeatly missed by her grandchildren, Alexus, Steven, Jaylyn and Shana of whom she adorned and gave her strength.
Joyce is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends to whom she touched individually by her loving nature.
Paull Pearers include Michael W. Jones, Woody Salge, Gerald Chelf, Donnie Burris, Jared Clanton and Jase Shelton. Alternates are Bob Jones and Mike Jones.
Services will be officiated by Marcus Zungia at Frank W. Wilson funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 30th 2006.

Charles Rodger Jared
May 15, 1927 — May 26, 2006
Charles Jared, 79, of Waco, passed away Friday, May 26, 2006, at a local nursing home.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, at First United Methodist Church. Visitation with the family will be Monday, May 29, from 6 to 8 pm at Bellmead Funeral Home.
Mr. Jared was born May 15, 1927 in Ada, Oklahoma to Joseph and Mabel (Noe) Jared. He married
Mary Blanche Atkinson on August 31, 1952. He was discharged from the Navy in 1946 after serving in the Pacific and Asian Theaters. He retired from Phillips Petroleum Co. in 1986 after 36 years of service, 28 years of which was in the Odessa, TX area and 8 years in the Bartlesville, OK area. Mr. Jared was a past president of the Bartlesville Lions Club and was a past Scout master for many years in Goldsmith, TX.
Survivors include his, wife, Mary Blanche Jared of Waco; daughter, Lynn Mowder and husband Pat of Waco; son, Blake Jared and wife Mary Jo of Missouri City, TX; sister, Jennie Covert; brother, Jody Jared; 4 grandchildren: Doug, Craig, Emily, Alison; several nieces, nephews and adopted children and grandchildren.

Jeffrey Lee Knife
Monahans - Jeffrey Lee Knife, age 42, of Monahans, passed away Friday, May 26, 2006, in Odessa, Texas.
He was born on June 4, 1963 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He was a Quality Control Manager. Memorial Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Monday, May 29, 2006 at First Baptist Church with Dr. James McGlothlin officiating. Services are under the direction of Harkey Family Funeral Services.
Survivors include his wife, Konnie Knife of Monahans; a son, Scott Knife of Monahans; a daughter Amanda Knife of Monahans; his mother, Cheryl Knife of San Antonio; his father, Richard Knife and step mother Lois of San Antonio; his grandmother, Winifred Knife of Jackson, Missouri; 3 sisters, Shawn Muenster of San Antonio, Kelly Hughes of San Antonio, and Leslie Sadovsky and husband Brian of San Antonio; and 1 granddaughter, Samantha of Monahans. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws, and many dear friends.

Jimmie Ray Weeks, Sr.
Odessa - Jimmie Ray Weeks, Sr. went to be with our Lord Wednesday, May 24, 2006. He was born June 1, 1947 in Bakersfield California. Born to Jimmie D. Weeks and Emma E. Sullivan.
Jimmie worked a Shaneda Machine. He was a US military veteran. He served in the US Marine Corp for six years and returned from the U.S. Air Force after 16 years. Jimmie loved life and his family with all his heart. He will be missed by an abundance of friends and all his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Bennie D. Weeks.
He is survived by his wife Barbara K. Davis Weeks of Odessa; son Jimmie R. Weeks, Jr of Alaska; daughter Jami Le-An Head of Athens; son David G. Weeks of Ciblo; daughter Christine De Leon of Gonzales; step son Guy A. Covey of Corpus Christi; step daughter Tabitha R. Weesner of Odessa Joyce Covington of Snyder; brother in law Rick Davis of Odessa; sister in law Sharon Weeks of New Braunfels and 14 grandchildren. Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He attended Temple Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held 10: 00 AM Wednesday May 31, 2006 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Family visitation will be 7 to 9:00 pm Tuesday May 30, 2006.

Michael Shane Kirk
Odessa - Michael Shane Kirk, 29, of Odessa passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2006 in Midland. He was born October 15, 1976 in Odessa to Kenneth and Suzane (Kennedy) Kirk. He was an oilfield worker and a member of Gardendale 1st Baptist Church.
He is survived by daughters, Summer Dawn Kirk & Hailey Gloria Kirk, parents, Kenneth Kirk & Suzanne Kennedy Lavender, step-parents, David Jarman & Mary Kirk, grandparents, Ida & Houston Kennedy, and Myrna & Robert O’Boyle, brother, Jacob Kirk, sisters, Kimberley Lavender, Jessica Zachary, Brooke Zachary & Summer Hiett all of Odessa.

Martha C. Marshall
Martha C. Marshall was born on February 9, 1922 in Lebanon, Indiana to Ray and Eva Creath. She married
Robert L. Marshall on March 15, 1940. She came to Odessa in 1953 from Dayton, Ohio. Her husband preceded her in death.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 27, 2006 at the Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
She was a member of the Eastern Star, active with the Rainbow Girls and was a member of Belmont Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons; Robert Leroy Marshall, Jr., John “Dusty” Marshall and Daniel C. Marshall all of Odessa; one sister, Ann Lybarger also of Odessa; (4) Grandchildren and (5) Great-grandchildren.

James Richard ‘J.R.’ Wilson
Odessa - James Richard “J.R.” Wilson, longtime resident of Odessa went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, May 23, 2006. He was born Sunday, July 29, 1928 in Paint Rock, Concho County, Texas, to Albert Wade and Minnie Mae (Jackson) Wilson.
J.R. moved to Odessa in 1945 where he met the love of his life, Mary Roxie Thompson, who he married
in 1946. He started work as a welder with J&J Steel and Odessa Pump where he remained for many years. In 1955, J. R. became a member of the H.A. McFarland Lodge #1338 A.F.&A.M. He and his wife were members of the Fountain Of Life Missionary.
Those left behind to cherish his love and memories are his wife Roxie Wilson of Odessa; three daughters, Georgia Landers and Darva Earnest both of Odessa, and Toni Perry of Dallas, three sons, Jimmy R. Wilson of Dallas, Stanley Wilson of Austin, and Matthew Landers of Odessa, two sisters, Barbara Burgin of Charlotte, N.C. and Julia Windham of Cloveland, Fla., one brother, John Windham of Gardendale, twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, May 26, 2006 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Rosehill cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel of Odessa.
