Ojinaga, Mexico - Antonio Carrasco, 84, of Andrews, a former teacher at Manuel Ojinaga Escuela Primeria and Escuela Nocturna Escuela Adultos in Ojinaga, Mexico, died Monday, May 15, 2006, at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
Services were held May 16 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Teodulo Garcia, of La Nueva Jerusalem in Andrews officiating. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Funeraria Del Valle in Ojinaga with the Rev. Adriana Mendez, of Centro Evangelistico of Midland officiating. Burial will be at Ultimo Refugio in Ojinaga. Local arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home of Andrews and Funeraria Del Valle of Ojinaga.
He was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. He was Pentecostal.
Survivors Wife, Herculana Caballero Carrasco of Andrews; sons, Humberto Carrasco, Javier Carrasco and Rene Carrasco, all of Andrews; daughter, Socorro Aranda of Andrews; brother, Gonzalo Eguiarte of Chihuahua, Mexico; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Ruby L. Huckaby
Fort Stockton - Ruby L. Huckaby, 96, of Fort Stockton, died Sunday, May 14, 2006, in Austin.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at East Hill cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Jim Miles officiating. Arrangements are by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
She was born in Copeland.
Survivors Sons, Robert Huckaby of Fort Stockton, James Huckaby of Austin and Dong Huckaby of Eldorado; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Odessa - Maria “Mary” Davila Flores, 81, of Odessa, died Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at Regency Hospital.

Odessa - Gail LeRoy “Hillbilly” Argersinger, 66, of Odessa, died Monday, May 15, 2006, at Regency Hospital.
No services will be held. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in St. Johns, Mich. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Congregational Christian Church.
Survivors Daughter, Rebecca Myers of Prairie Du Chien, Wis.; mother, Lila F. Argersinger of St. Johns; brothers, LaVerne H. Argersinger, Richard D. Argersinger and Melvin C. Argersinger, all of St. Johns and Alden D. Argersinger of Elsie, Mich.; sisters, LaVone L. Sipka of Owosso, Mich., Hazel J. Myers of Dewitt, Mich., Wanda L. Lockwood of St. Johns, Sharon K. Pease of Huachuca City, Ariz., Sandra M. Price of Blaine, Tenn., and Beverly D. Gee of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and one grandchild.

Herminia Bejarano
El Mulato, Ojinaga, Mexico - Herminia Contreras Bejarano, 66, of Andrews, died Monday, May 15, 2006, at her residence.
Services were May 14 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Monte Bustillos Cementario.
She was born in Mexico.
SURVIVORS Sons, Luis Manuel Bejarano and Marcello Bejarano, both of Andrews, Domingo Bejarano and Marcos Bejarano, both of Midland and Oved Bejarano of Monahans; daughters, Maria Tarango of Andrews, Maria Luisa Bejarano of Van Horn and Rosalda Bejarano of Midland; brothers, Manuel Contreras of Odessa and Octavio Contreras of Carlsbad, N.M.; sister, Eduvijes Salcido of Andrews; 26 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Gressett officiating. Burial will be at Gaines County cemetery. Arrangements are by Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
He was born in Fredrick, Okla. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

William Howard Mettinger
Odessa - William Howard Mettinger, 60, of Odessa, a self-employed home inspector, died Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Woodruff officiating. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Detroit, Mich. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
Survivors: Wife, Stephanie Mettinger of Odessa; sons, Timothy Mettinger of Dallas and William Mettinger Jr. of Pocatello, Idaho; daughter, Julie Young of Los Angeles, Calif.; sister, Judy Papport of San Diego; and nine grandchildren.

She was born in November 22, 1956. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS Husband, Larry Ball; son, Brandon Ball of Garland; mother, Anna Stewart; brothers, Art Loera and Wally Loera; sisters, Mary Hickman, Marissa Loera and Corinne Wright.

FORT STOCKTON - Claudie Beeler, 64, of Fort Stockton, formerly of Odessa, died Saturday, May 13, 2006, in Fort Stockton.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scot Owens officiating. Burial will be in Cross Plains Memorial cemetery in Cross Plains. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
He was born in Cross Plains and had lived in Fort Stockton since 1972.
SURVIVORS Brothers, Kenneth Beeler and Donald Beeler, both of Cross Plains, and Dennis Beeler of Cornersville, Tenn.; and half brother, Jack Dunn of Waco.

Arvol Brown
ODESSA - Arvol Brown, 85, of Odessa, retired grocer, died Thursday, May 11, 2006.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today, May 15, 2006, at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland.
He was born in Vanoss, Okla. He grew up in Spearsville, La., and Midland. He served in the military during World War II.
SURVIVORS Son, Arvol Brown Jr. of Midland; daughter, Lynn Barbian of Midland; brother, V.W. Brown of Austin; and nine grandchildren.

James ‘Jim’ Edward Carnathan
MENA, Ark. - James “Jim” Edward Carnathan, 66, of Mena, Ark., a dry wall contractor, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at his residence.
His body was sent for cremation under the direction of Hall Funeral Service. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He lived in Mena 19 years and attended the New Faith Assembly Church.
SURVIVORS Wife, Katherine “Kathy” Carnathan of Mena; son, Troy Holt of Odessa; brother, Johnny Carnathan of Mena; and a grandson.

Bernadino N. Galindo
PECOS - Bernadino N. Galindo, 92, of Pecos, a retired maintenance man, died Friday, May 12, 2006, at his residence.
Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. today at P.G.F.H. Chapel. Mass will be said at noon Tuesday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Pecos. Burial will follow in Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements by Peaceful Garden Funeral Home.
He was born in Candelaria. He was Catholic and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
SURVIVORS Sons, Manuel Galindo Sr. and Robert Fuentes, both of Pecos; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

LUBBOCK - Denson Stevenson, 81, died Thursday, May 11, 2006, at Southern Specialty Rehab in Lubbock.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greater St. John Baptist Church with the Rev. E.J. Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Rosehill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Smith Funeral Chapels & Crematory.
He was born in Cameron.
