Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Liberty A.M.E. Church. Burial will be at Miller cemetery. Arrangements are by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
He was born in Liberty Hill.
Survivors Sons, Robert Walker of Anchorage, Ala., Benny Walker, Jesse Walker and John Ed Walker, all of Fort Stockton; daughters, Linda Walker of Fort Stockton, Edna “Sissy” Blanks of San Antonio, Teresa Walker of Marietta, Ga., and Cynthia Sanford of Fort Worth; brother, McClain Hollingsworth of San Antonio; and sister, Kathryn Fisher of Temple.

Vernon Coy ‘Perch’ Jacobs
Odessa - Vernon Coy “Perch” Jacobs, 66, a retired musician, died Sunday, May 21, 2006, at Medical Center Hospital.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greenfield Acres. Arrangements were by Magnum Funeral Home of Center.
He was born in Center.
Survivors Wife, Mary Jacobs of Odessa; daughters, Holly Lofton and Charlotte Jacobs, both of Olla, La., Shanna Hughes of Houston, Dawn Blackwell of Urania, La., Jennifer Jacobs of Fort Rucker, Ala., Amanda Jacobs, Misty Pittman and Stella Jacobs, all of Odessa; brothers, Harold Jacobs of Price and Roy Jacobs Sr. of Center; sisters, Mary Jean Hill and Lucille Robbins, both of Carthage; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Freddie Don Kemper
Hobbs, N.M. - Freddie Don Kemper, 72, of Hobbs, N.M., a retired employee for El Paso Natural Gas Co., died Sunday, May 28, 2006, at his residence.
He was born in Callahan County. He was an Army veteran.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Hobbs with the Rev. Steve Chappell and Russell Hill. Burial will be held at a later date at Hope cemetery in Grady, N.M. Arrangements are by Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home of Lovington, N.M.
Survivors Wife, Joyce Kemper of Hobbs; daughters, Karen Jackson of Hobbs and Karole Hunt of Weatherford; brother, Ross Kemper of San Angelo; sisters, Rosie Yost of Abilene and Madelyn Dugan of Clyde; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Alpine - Marjorie King, 71, of Commerce, a registered nurse and formerly of Alpine, died Friday, May 26, 2006, in Nacogdoches.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at First Baptist Church. Burial will be at Elm Grove cemetery. Arrangements are by Geeslin Funeral Home of Alpine.
She was born in Santa Anna. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors Husband, Charles King of Commerce; sons, Mark King and Marshall King, both of Cumby and John King of Springtown; daughter, Karen King of Longmont, Colo.; sister, Martha Spinks of Eldorado; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Clarice Selman Ogle
Alpine - Clarice Selman Ogle, 97, of Alpine, died Saturday, May 20, 2006, at the Valley Care Nursing Home in Alpine.
Services will be at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Alpine. Arrangements are by Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home and Crematory of Midland.
She was born in Fountain Hill, Ark.
Survivors Sons, Pat of San Diego, Calif and Mike of Baker, Ore.; daughters, Betty Ray Baker of Fort Davis and Margaret Bumpas of Alpine; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Seminole - Mary K. Parrot, 81, of Seminole, a retired Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace, died Sunday, May 28, 2006, at Seminole Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Gressett officiating. Arrangements are by Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
She was born in Honey Grove. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors Son, Clark Parrott of Seminole and Mark Parrott of Kingwood; daughter, Pam Bayer of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Billy ‘Bill’ Phillips
Odessa - Billy “Bill” Phillips, 59, of Odessa, a truck driver, died Monday, May 29, 2006, at Southwest Regional Hospital in Lubbock.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Frank Wilson Chapel with the Revs. Kyle Rogers and Stanley Huffy officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
He was born in Gatesville.
Survivors Wife, Sue Phillips of Odessa; son, Brian Phillips of Odessa; daughters, Cynthia Phillips and Renea McDowell of Odessa; brother, Ronnie Phillips of Tennessee; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Nereo Q. Tarin
Pecos - Nereo Q. Tarin, 80, of Pecos, an equipment operator, died Sunday, May 28, 2006, at Reeves County Hospital.
Services were May 30 at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel.
He was born in Candelaria and was Christian.

Betty L. Belew McGee
Odessa - Betty L. Belew McGee, 62, of Odessa, an assistant manager for Pinkie’s Liquor Store in Odessa, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2006, at her residence.
Graveside services are scheduled for Thursday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Ackerly.

Odessa - Martha Joe Williams, 64, died Sunday, May 28, 2006, at Hospice House in Odessa.

Macon Caddell
GRANBURY - Macon Caddell, 89, died Saturday, May 27, 2006 in Granbury.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Park in Odessa. Arrangements by Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.
Caddell served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the 509th Ordinance Group.
Survivors Sons, Michael and Day Nell Caddell of McKinney, and Len and Patty Caddell of Granbury; grandchildren, Paige, Tim and Christopher Caddell, and Elisa Nihill; and great-grandchildren, Alex, Andrew, Avery, Benjamin and Hannah.

Bert Ellis
Odessa - Bert Ellis, 85, of Odessa, a retired employee of Cities Service Oil Co., died Saturday, May 27, 2006, at Hospice House.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dennis Dillon officiating. Arrangements are by Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Cement, Okla. He was a World War II Veteran serving in the South Pacific for the US Army air force.
