Irene Bradley
Irene Bradley, 87, of Dimmitt passed away Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, in Hereford. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Dimmitt with Rev Joe Schultz and Rev. Clint Young officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Dimmitt. Family visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.
Mrs. Bradley was born Aug. 7, 1921, in Castro County to Elmer and Mary Dixon. She was raised in Castro County. She married Weldon Bradley on Dec. 24, 1938, in Clovis, N.M. She and her husband owned Bradley Butane in Sunnyside. Her family has resided in Castro County for over 100 years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Ometa Scott and husband Vernon of Amarillo and Molly Farmer and husband Milton of Plano; two sons, Carl Bradley of Estancia, N.M., and Lee Bradley and wife Cindy of Hereford; one sister, Elizabeth Worthington of Ft. Worth; nine grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Bradley in 1993; and two sisters.

Ella Wease McLin
Ella Wease McLin, 64, of Lubbock passed away Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008. Ella was born in DeBerry on July 24, 1944, to Janie Mae Robinson and Fred McLin. She moved to Lubbock in 1954. She attended Lubbock public schools and also attended Drones Business College. She was a beautician and also worked as an Assistant Living Health Care Provider until she became ill.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Janie Mae Robinson; her father, Fred McLin; and three brothers, Fred Jr., Ray and Steve McLin. She leaves to cherish her memory, her two daughters, LaToya (Christopher) Miller and Shayla McLin; seven grandchildren; her step-mother, Katherine McLin; seven sisters; five brothers; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at House of Prayer Non-Demonational 2502 E. 4th St. with Pastor Craig A. Godfrey officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Garden Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.
Family will receive friends from 1-6 p.m. today.
Danny R. Casas
Danny R. Casas, 30, of Lubbock went to be with the Lord on Sept. 23, 2008. He was born Feb. 3, 1978, in Lubbock.
He leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Manuel, Jr. and Angie Casas; a sister, Sandra Casas, who will miss him tremendously; his wife, Tasha Fields; one son, Danny Casas, Jr.; mother-in-law, Margo Bruns and husband Richard; and a lot of family and friends.
Danny was a beloved husband, father, a great son and awesome brother. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. He leaves behind his passion for the Dallas Cowboys. (to win a Super Bowl this year.)
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home. A Rosary will be 7 p.m. Friday at Sanders Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be his cousins.

Betty Lou Cone Petree
Betty Lou Cone Petree, 78, died Tuesday morning, September 23, peacefully in her home after battling a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 26th, at the First United Methodist Church with Brother Jack Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Rix Funeral Directors.
She was born in 1930 to Arthur and Annie Heggen Cone in Lubbock She attended Lubbock schools, and graduated from Lubbock High School. She married Billie Gene Petree in 1947. Betty Lou was a homemaker, she farmed in the Idalou community, where she raised her family and made everlasting friendships, and she worked in the family business for many years. She was a Christian and life-long member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Her hobbies included playing bridge with the girls, watching football, and spoiling her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Annie Heggen Cone; sister, Annie Lee Cooke; and son, Robert Lewis Petree. She is survived by one sister, Lois Cone Bates; sons, Johnny Petree and wife Debbie, Larry Petree and wife Bebe, and Jackie Petree and wife Treena; one daughter, Pamela Ware; seven grandchildren, Brandon Petree and wife Kim, Kristy Petree, James Petree and wife Angela, Lauren Ware, Casey Petree, Taylor Petree, and Heather Petree; two great-grandchildren, Blake and Jake Petree; and many special nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bruce lsom, Eugene Becknell, Robert Gentry, Spike Dykes, L.W. Utley, Jim Cone, Tommy Cooke, Sammy Bates, and Ken Isom.
The family would like to thank Hilda Wilson, Dominga Vasquez, and Janie Montelongo for their loving care.

Bettie Jean Rowell
Bettie Jean Rowell was born in Lake Charles, La., on April 12, 1932, and peacefully passed away on Sept. 19, 2008.
Those left to cherish her memory include husband, Donnie, Sr.; children, Gloria, Pamela, Donnie, Jr., and Donna; and her eight grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at Christ the King, 4011 54th St.
Brenda K. Smith
Brenda K. Smith, 55, of Lubbock died Sept. 20, 2008, in Lubbock. She was born April 1, 1953, in Childress. She graduated from Brownfield High School in 1971, and attended South Plains College. Brenda and Winston Smith were married Aug. 15, 1975, in Lubbock. She worked for Texas Instruments and retired from Lena Stephens.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara; and brother, Terry Don Borum. She is survived by her father, Dr. Jess Borum of Lubbock; husband, Winston Smith; daughter, Nicole Smith; son, Colby Smith of Greenville; granddaughters, Andrea, Haley and Lyndsea. Cousin, Frank Harman of Lubbock and numerous brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, also survive her.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the Franklin-Bartley Chapel. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday evening at Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.

John Joe Pauda
Funeral services for John Joe Pauda, 56, of Lubbock will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Msgr. Halfmann officiating.
Rosary will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Burial will be at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels. He passed away on Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at University Medical Center. He was born on Sept. 8, 1952, in Sinton. Mr. Pauda married Irma Romo on Sept. 14, 1974, in Altus, Okla. He was a veteran and truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Irma Romo; children, Johnny Joe Pauda, Jennifer Pauda and Jacob Joe Pauda, all of Lubbock; seven grandchildren; four brothers, Berardo Jr., Mike, Felipe and Gabriel Pauda, all of Lubbock; and four sisters, Mimi Pauda, Carmen Rodriguez, Veronica Garcia and Margarita Lazo, all of Lubbock.
Jose B. Olivarez
Funeral services for Jose B. Olivarez, 69, of Lubbock will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Father David Cruz officiating and Deacon Joe Morin assisting. Rosary will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Burial will be at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
Mr. Olivarez passed away on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, in the comfort of his own home. He was born on July 31, 1939, in Edroy to the late Santos and Carolina B. Olivarez. He married Angelita Garcia on July 15, 1985, in Lubbock.
Mr. Olivarez was president of Northwest Little League in the late 70s, and was self-employed for many years as a self contractor. Mr. Olivarez owned The Boss Office Bar at 518 34th St. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, loved watching football, baseball and enjoyed going fishing.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Angie Olivarez; daughters, Cindy Lozano, Melissa Palacio Aguilar, Amanda Perez, Sarah Garcia; son, Rogelio Olivarez, all of Lubbock; sisters, Leli Alonzo of Dallas, Maria Gonzales, Margie Garcia, Josie Ochoa, Delia Cantu, Elva Ramirez, all of Corpus Christi, Alicia DeLacruz and Diana Moreno of Houston; brothers, Roque Olivarez, Robert Olivarez of Dallas, David Moreno of McAllen, Raul Moreno of Kingsview; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild who was his pride and joy and who deeply adored her Popo, Ysenia Lozano.
Pallbearers will be Juan Garcia Jr., Manuel Rios, Santos Lopez, Rudy Mendoza, Angel Garza, Virgil Benitez and Candido Rodriguez.
Margaret Lynn McCulloch
Margaret Lynn McCulloch, 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sept. 17, 2008, in Phoenix after a lengthy illness.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel, with the funeral at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. McCulloch was born Margaret Lynn Putman on July 25, 1924, in Purdon to Edgar L. and Eva C. Putman. She was married to Eber John Neely from 1947 until his death in 1958. She then was married to Joseph Lawrence McCulloch from 1960 until his death in 1975.
Survivors include two sons, Nuane N. Neely and wife Genie of Roswell, Ga., and Joseph R. McCulloch and wife Sherri of Phoenix; four grandchildren, Niclaire and Kyle Neely of Roswell, Ga., and Emily and Matthew McCulloch of Phoenix; and a brother, Clark Putman of Navarro Mills.
