ANDREWS -- Wendel Ray Davenport, 46, of Andrews, a salesman for Affordable Auto Sales in Midland, died Monday, Sept. 21, 1998, at Presbyterian Hospital in Plano.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Davenport officiating. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

He was born in Baytown and had lived in Andrews since 1960. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Sherry Davenport of Andrews; daughter, Kristina Whitehead of Andrews; mother, Myrtle Davenport of Andrews; brothers, Calvin Davenport of Midland and Billy Davenport of Andrews; sisters, Kathy Dosier of Andrews, Karen Parnell of Midland; and four grandchildren.

Robert Fisher

ODESSA -- Robert Luis Fisher, 51, of Odessa, a refrigeration worker, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998, in Odessa.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Dewey Blevins officiating. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in St. Louis. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Robert Dale Fisher of Florida, Freddie Thatcher, Arthur Thatcher and Lonnie Thatcher, all of Odessa; daughters, Regina Kaye Fisher and Starla Thatcher, both of Odessa; brothers, Jimmy Fisher and Tim Thornton, both of St. Louis; sisters, Shirley Fisher of Odessa, Pat Scott of Caruthersville, Mo., and Cindy Thornton of St. Louis.

Alton Martin

BROWNFIELD -- Alton Martin, 69, of Corpus Christi, a retired production supervisor for Mobil Oil Company, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998, Corpus Christi.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jess Cole officiating. Graveside services with Masonic rites will be at Terry County Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Brownfield Funeral Home.

He was born in Lubbock. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Maureen Martin of Corpus Christi; son, Dennis Martin of Monahans; daughter, Beverly Latham of San Antonio; step-daughters, Diana Best of Richardson, and Waynette Davis of Aubrey; father, W.E. Martin of Brownfield; sisters, Virginia Goggans–Hargrove of Lubbock and Christine Askew of Tahoka; three grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.

Arthur Russell

SEMINOLE -- Arthur Russell, 92, of Seminole, a farmer, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1998, at Memorial Health Care Center.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ashmore Baptist Church with the Revs. Bill Mosley and Earnest Wall officiating. Burial will be at Loop cemetery in Loop. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.

He was born in Durant, Okla., and had been a resident of Gaines County for 58 years. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Louvena Hand of Seminole; brother, Willie Russell of Lexington, Okla.; and two grandchildren.

Cruz Lopez

ODESSA -- Cruz Lopez, 75, of Odessa died Tuesday, Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at Martinez Funeral Home.

Cleo Chandler
MONAHANS -- Cleo Charlene Chandler, 71, of Monahans, a retired regional office manager for United Video Cablevision, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1998, at her residence.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Third & Dwight Church of Christ with Greg Holly officiating. Burial will be at Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
She was born in Lamesa. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors: Husband, Lonnie Chandler of Monahans; Son, Allen Chandler of Monahans; daughters, Shirley King of Imperial and Lynn Richardson of Kermit; brothers, Charles Walton of Saginaw Clifton Walton of Ranger, Weldon Walton of Bluffdale and Johnny Walton of Belton; sisters, Lucille Carroll of Eastland, Margie Hogan of Willow Park; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

FORT STOCKTON -- Juanita G. Chavez, 59, of Fort Stockton, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1998, at her residence.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Corner of Colpitts Church with the Rev. Alvaro Navarette officiating. Burial will be at East Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
She was born in Fort Stockton.

MCCAMEY -- Dorothy Dunn Coomer, 74, of McCamey, a retired deputy chief over the District Clerks’ office for Upton County, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1998, in Houston.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Jim Hill officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven cemetery. Arrangements by Richard W. Box Funeral Homes.
She was born in Lancaster. She was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors: Husband, Jerry Coomer of McCamey; daughters, Patti Sewell of Fort Stockton and Shirley Badgett of Sonora; son, Mike Coomer of Lubbock; sisters, Pauline Dunn of Lancaster and Juanita Barbar of Dallas; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

ODESSA -- Amelia Enriquez, 48, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Luis Cepeda officiating. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Corpus Christi and had lived in Odessa since 1953. She was Catholic.
Survivors: Husband, Pedro Porras of Odessa; mother, Romana Dominguez of Odessa; sons, Isiah Carrillo, Israel Carrillo and Arnulfo Enriquez, all of Odessa; daughter, Corina Castillo of Liberty Hill; brothers, Lino Dominguez, David Dominguez, Lucio Dominguez and Carlos Dominguez, all of Odessa; sisters, Rose Marie Jimenez of Odessa; Cruz Martinez of Levelland, Lorena Willis of Freemont, Calif., Andrea Nunez of Edroy and Olivia Hernandez of Hereford; and two grandchildren.

Wallace Jackson
MIDLAND -- Wallace R. Jackson, 75, of Midland, retired faculty director for KOCV-FM radio station, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1998, at a local hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m Friday at Memorial Christian Church with the Rev. Dr. Jim Rudd officiating. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born in Gober. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors: Wife, Imogene Jackson of Midland; daughter, Nancy LaCaze of Pasadena, Texas; and four grandchildren.

LAMESA -- Israel (Roy) Rodriguez, 46, of Lamesa died Monday, Sept. 21, 1998, at Baylor & Roberts Hospital in Dallas.

He was born in Lamesa.

CRANE -- Florencio Saucedo Sanchez, 37, of Crane, a truck driver for CX Transportation, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1998, at Pecos County General Hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Burial will be at Crane County cemetery. Arrangements by Richard W. Box Funeral Homes.
He was born in Saltillo, Coahuilla, Mexico. He was Catholic.
