SEMINOLE -- Abram Peters, 77, died Friday, Nov. 13, 1998, at Brownfield Regional Medical Center.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Reinlander Mennonite Church with the Rev. Henry Riemer officiating. Burial will be at Gaines County cemetery South. Funeral arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.
He was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, and had been a resident of Seminole for 20 years. He was Mennonite.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Maria Peters of Seminole; sons, Jacob Peters of Paris, Abram Peters of Canada, and John Peters of Seminole; daughters, Anna Peters, Mary Neufield and Margaret Reimer, all of Seminole; brothers, John Peters and Corndius Peters, both of Mexico; sisters, Mary Redekopp of Paraguay, Anna Frieson of Belize, and Nancy Peters of Canada; 43 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Leon Ballew
MIDLAND -- Leon Lunsford Ballew, 71, a retired insurance agent, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 1998, at his residence.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Fairview cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born in Lamesa and had been a resident of Midland since the 1950s. He was a Navy veteran.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Vicki Miller of Clovis, N.M., Shari Salama and Parri Ballew, both of Amarillo and Joni Hooten of Midland; sister, June McQueen of Corpus Christi; and seven grandchildren.

ODESSA -- Charlotte Elizabeth Brownback, 80, former owner of Brownback Sales, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998, at her residence.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with the Rev. Curtis Brewer officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Garden City, Kan., and had lived in Odessa since 1956. She was a Baptist.

Nora Featherson
GOLDTHWAITE -- Nora Smith Featherston, 85, a retired nurse’s aide, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at the Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Jack Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at Goldthwaite Memorial Garden. Funeral arrangements by Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home.
She was a member of the Assembly of God.

ODESSA – Vera Mable Lossing, 83, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 1998, at Medcial Center Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Watanuka, Okla.

SEMINOLE -- Dorothy Robertson, 76, a retired rancher, died Friday, Nov. 13, 1998, at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock.

She was born in Coahoma and had lived in Seminole since 1948. She was a Baptist.

She was born in Nine and moved to Odessa in 1989 from Brady. She was a member of the Christian Church.

He was born in Study Butte and was a longtime resident of Grandfalls. He was Catholic.
