She was born in Adel, Iowa, and was a lifelong resident of Pecos. She was Methodist.
Survivors: Sons, Donald Bippes of Pecos and Melvin Bippes of Dumas; daughter, Mary Ann Sewalt of Fort Worth; sister, Sarah Samples of Fenton, Mo.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

NORMAN, Okla. -- Kenneth Cable, 79, of Norman, Okla., a retired fire marshal for the City of Odessa, died Monday, June 15, 1998, at his residence.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Primrose Chapel. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park cemetery in Norman, Okla. Arrangements by Primrose Funeral Home.
He was born in Noble, Okla., and moved to Norman in 1978 from Odessa. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.

TOYAH -- Steven Compton, 45, of Pecos, a minister, died Tuesday, June 16, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Toyah Baptist Church with the Revs. J.R. Wooten and James Henderson officiating. Burial will be at Toyah cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in San Angelo and was a lifelong resident of Pecos. He was Baptist.

She was born in Fort Stockton and had lived in Odessa for one year.

She was born in Ozona and moved to Odessa in 1961 from Fort Stockton.

He was a 47-year resident of Kermit and a Jehovah’s Witness.
