FORT STOCKTON -- Jared Joseph Conroy, 10, a Fort Stockton ISD student, died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 1998, at Pecos County Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Miles officiating. Burial will be at East Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
Jared was born in El Paso and moved to Fort Stockton Aug. 10, 1997, from El Paso. He was a Presbyterian.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Dawn Conroy of Fort Stockton; stepfather, Kenneth Morrison of Fort Stockton; brother, Jayson Dean of El Paso; stepsister, Sheena Morrison of Fort Stockton; and a grandfather, Don Conroy of El Paso.

Onis Millard Crawford
MERKEL -- Onis Millard Crawford, 81, co-owner and operator of Crawford’s Department Store in Dalhart, died Thursday, Aug. 6, 1998, at Merkel Nursing Home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Marion Fonville and Jimmy Griffith officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery in Merkel. Arrangements by Starbuck Funeral Home.
He was born in Stamford and was a resident of Merkel. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a Deacon of First Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Jim Crawford of Odessa and Robert Crawford of Andrews; daughter, Mignon Brown of New Home; and brothers, Earl Crawford of Riverside, Calif. And Ralph Crawford of Fort Worth.

Nolberto Aguirre
ODESSA -- Nolberto Sanchez Aguirre, 62, of Odessa, died Friday, Aug. 7, 1998, at his residence.
Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Mary Stokes
ODESSA -- Mary Juanita Williams Stokes, 40, of Odessa, died Friday, Aug. 7, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Wilma Doughdrill
ODESSA -- Wilma Doughdrill, 80, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Friday, Aug. 7, 1998, Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with the Rev. Rex Clayton officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Emerson, Ark. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Don Juan Doughdrill of Odessa; and son, Richard Charles Doughdrill of Odessa.

Chester Jackson
ODESSA -- Chester Clyde Jackson, 73, of Odessa died Thursday, Aug. 6, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. David Hill officiating. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
He was born in Downing, Mo.
SURVIVORS: Richard Jackson and Allen Jackson, both of Hobbs, N.M., Bryan Jackson, Audie Jackson, Steven Jackson, Gordon Jackson and Kelvin Jackson, all of Odessa; brother, Harold Jackson of Burlington, Iowa; sister, Jean Troxel of Ottumwa, Iowa; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

William Peeples
ANDREWS -- William Vines Peeples, 72, of Abilene, a retired electrician, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998, at his residence.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael O. Patterson officiating. Burial will be at Andrews Old cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Tula, Miss., and moved to Abilene two weeks ago from Lake Brownwood. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Joy Dell Peeples of Abilene; son, Terry Wayne Peeples of Lubbock; daughters, Billie Joyce Carruth of Midland, Betty Janice Poorman of Abilene, Patti Jane Tout of Austin; brothers, Bobby Ray Peeples of Odessa, Joe Peeples of Roswell, N.M.; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.

BIG LAKE -- Julia Pena, 73, of Big Lake, a homemaker, died Friday, Aug. 7, 1998, in a San Angelo hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7:30 tonight at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Barry McLean officiating. Burial will be at Glen Rest cemetery. Arrangements by Johnson Funeral Home.
She was born in Big Spring. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Ysidro Pena of Big Lake; sons, Raymond Pena of Monahans, Ray Pena of Big Lake; daughters, Enedina Ortiz of Canyon, Ernestina Harris of San Angelo, Elva Villanueva of Amarillo, Ellia Barajas of Eldorado, Margie Robles of Lubbock and Diana Rodriguez of Odessa; brother, Octavio Ramos of Big Lake; 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

SEMINOLE -- Alexis Alvidrez, infant daughter of Thomas and Flor Alvidrez, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998, at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Gaines County cemetery with the Rev. John Casey officiating. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home, Inc.
She was born in Lubbock.
SURVIVORS: Parents; grandparents, Jorge and Dora Reyna of Frisco, Thomas and Juvenita Alvidrez of Seminole; brothers, John Anthony and Eric Thomas, both of Seminole.

ODESSA -- Dora Laura Box, 78, of Odessa died Friday, Aug. 7, 1998, at her residence.

She was born in De Leon. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Douglas Box of McKinney, David Box of Odessa, Steve Box of La Habra, Calif.; brother, James Donald Peevy of Gardendale; sister, Loretta Irene Bush of De Leon; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

FORT STOCKTON -- Freda M. Brown, 86, of Fort Stockton, a retired English teacher, died Thursday, Aug. 6, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Larry Krueger officiating. Burial will be at East Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
She was born in Sentinel, Okla., and had been a resident of Fort Stockton since 1943 after moving from Iraan. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Sister, Loy Worth of Enid, Okla.

ODESSA -- Ila Lee Kiphart Caudle, 82, of Odessa died Sunday, Aug. 9, 1998, at her residence.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with Rev. Don Turskey officiating. Burial will be at Odessa/Ector County cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Winters. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Son, Kenneth Roy Kiphart Sr. of Odessa; sisters, Myrle Luttrell of Hamilton, Pearl Castleberry of Odessa; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Santiago Jiminez
SEMINOLE -- Santiago (J.J.) Jiminez Jr., 19, a road construction worker, of Oakley, Kan., died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 1998, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kan.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. John Casey officiating. Burial will be at Gaines County cemetery (South). Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.
He was born in Andrews and moved to Oakley, Kan., in 1989.
