He was born in Aledo. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and First Baptist Church.

He was born in Bartonville Oct. 30, 1915. He had lived in the Odessa-Midland area since 1987. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
