Jimmy Wayne Carter
WAXAHACHIE — In loving memory of our son and brother.
Jimmy Wayne Carter born April 25, 1949, in Mineral Wells. He died Oct. 3, 1999, in Waxahachie.
He is survived by his mother, Jewel Carter; and brother, Owen K. Carter and sister-in-law, Jennifer B. Carter of Maypearl.
Jimmy grew up in Odessa, where he attended school and worked for some of the major oil-related companies in the Permian Basin area. He spoke fluent Spanish and acted as interpreter for non-English speaking people. He never met a stranger.
Jimmy worked five years for University of Texas of Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas Animal Resource Department prior to his illness.
Jimmy’s greatest love besides his mother and brother was his love for the Woodward Ranch at Alpine, where he had worked and spent time at his favorite camp sites and in the beautiful mountains on the ranch and the Big Bend country.

Williard Ralph "Curley" Wells
ODESSA — Services for Williard Ralph "Curley" Wells, 67, of Odessa, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at graveside.
He will be buried in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa.
Mr. Wells died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital.
He was born Sept. 12, 1932, in Durant, Okla.
He married
Betty Hardin on March 21, 1961, in Midland.
Mr. Wells moved to Odessa in 1958 from Coalgate, Okla. He was self-employed for many years in the automotive body shop and mechanic business. He was a Baptist. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his spouse, Betty Wells of Odessa; Sons, Johnny Wells of Odessa, Shane Wells of Odessa, Mike Watts of Odessa and Charlie Watts of Odessa; Daughters, Kelly Whitley of Odessa and Mandy Pace of Andrews, TX.; Brother, Morgan Wells of Stonewall, Okla.; Sister, Mary Jo "Lambert" Wells of Coalgate, Okla. and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Stella Wells.
Harvey Aaron O’Neal
ODESSA — Harvey Aaron O’Neal, 91, of Odessa, a heavy equipment operator, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Director with the Rev. Tom Hiser and the Rev. Dr. Mike O’Neal offiicating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Novice and moved to Odessa in 1946. He was Baptist.

Lillian Murphy
SEMINOLE — Lillian Christine Murphy, 88, of Seminole, a homemaker, died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, at Memorial Health Care Center.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at South Seminole Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Gilliam officiating. Burial will be at Gaines County cemetery. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.
She was born in Snyder and moved to Seminole in 1921. She was Baptist.

ODESSA — Glenn B. Jeffrey Jr., 74, of Odessa, died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, at Deerings Nursing Home.

She was born in Terlingua and moved to Odessa in 1957 from Midland. She was Catholic.

ANDREWS — Eutimio B. Gonzales, 81, of Odessa, a farm worker, died Friday, Oct. 22, 1999, at Midland Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with the Rev. Bernard Gully officiating. Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will be at Andrews North cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in El Comedor, Mexico and moved to Andrews from Plano seven years ago. He was Catholic.
